A/N: I just spent the last 3 or so hours working on this because it's due tomorrow so y'all get to read it. My mom also helped so I'm crediting her as well

Anniet Fungos, always a beautiful place...well, it depends on how you view it...some of the dragons that inhabit the area live in polluted gear ridden areas, which would be uninhabitable by most species of dragons, but the Gearlimbs thrive there in the marshy flats. There are forests of large mushrooms, mostly inhabited by Mist Wing, the cool, misty area may be too cold and wet for some, but not for the Mist Wings, you can often see the bright colored dragons flashing their colorful feathers amid the clouds and mists as they dodge the giant mushrooms. An island to the North East, burnt to a crisp except for the few scrubby plants that can withstand the high scalding breath of their inhabitants, the Fire Claws. On the southwest side of the continent there are coral reefs and deep oceans filled with Metalic Scales, these ocean dwelling dragons are among the more beautiful of their dragon cousins with beautiful metallic scales that shimmer beneath the ocean waves.

We begin our story in the Mushroom Forest in on of the biggest cities, Spore. In Spore there are many types of Mist Wings, there are the small smooth feathered dragons, large ones with fluffy gray feathers. All unique and beautiful in their own way with a colorful tip at the end of each large feather.

On a day as gloomy and foggy as today, you can often see the Mist Wings. The Mist Wings, contrary to most of us, do not enjoy a beautiful sunny day, they prefer it wet and miserable, the more mist in the air, the more Mist Wings will be out and about.

At this moment, in the Mushroom Forest, in the City of Spore, sitting on a large mushroom and low to the ground is a dragon named Drizzle. Ignoring the liquid dripping from the tall, inky cap, running down his back and dripping lazily off his feathers, he was enjoying the cool wet weather after weeks of sun. He was enjoying this particularly gloomy day. It was a nice change from the uncomfortable sunlight he had to deal with in previous weeks.

Drizzle stood up, stretching like a cat, his stretch ending with a satisfying pop.

Drizzle hopped down, his feathers, covered in black spots of shiny ink from the inky cap mushroom he had been sitting on. He trotted over to the sea, only a few yards from where he had been sitting and allowed the salty sea air to fill his lungs and clear out his nose. Sitting on the sandy beech he allowed the waves to wash over his toes. The sea was surprisingly calm for a day as muggy as this.

The queen of the Mist Wings appeared from the mist like a ghost, sitting next to Drizzle before speaking. "Piston is here to talk to you about joining his academy."

Swinging his head towards Queen Katrina excitedly, "He's what?!" Drizzle couldn't believe it, he had always wanted to go to the Gearlimbs academy, he had applied earlier that yearand had been turned down only two months before. To hear that the headmaster was considering him again, was a dream come true.

Queen Katrina seemed suddenly impatient, "Yeah, let's hurry, Piston's been waiting for you for an hour, everyone's been looking for you."

"It took you that long to find me?" This confused Drizzle, he was often easy to find since he was usually in the basement of one of those unusual two-legged creatures that inhabited castles and buildings and such, places that dragons had no need for. As far as we knew, the two-legged creatures had died off or run off a couple hundred years before, leaving behind their unusual homes and fortresses.

As the two walked the rain went from a gentle rain to a full-on downpour. Although the light rain had been pleasant, the downpour made it more difficult to travel through and the Queen and her subject trudged along quietly through the mushrooms and rain and mist until they reached an ancient large mushroom that had been hollowed out and turned into a palace for the Royal Family.
