I leave pieces
Of my broken
Shattered heart
Sprinkled throughout
Everything I write
These pages
Are written with
Blood and tears
Sewn with my thoughts
And bound with my soul
I do not ask
That you treat my words
As if they are glass
But that you remember
That I am human
Flesh and blood
Not a machine
So my creations
Are imperfect
At times
And because it is art
There is no
Single correct answer
It speaks to everyone differently
I do not ask
That you forgo honesty
Because you fear
To hurt me
Or sound mean
To others
Who read your words
Rather
To be honest
For I risked my own heart
By unveiling it to you
And the cost is mine
To pay
Not yours
I only ask
That you remember
As you write your thoughts
And opinions
On what I've made
That within these pages
Lie glimpses of my pain
But also my healing
That you would be honest, yes
But also kind
Because we're both human
With different souls
That beat with
Different hearts
But in our veins flow
The same blood
Because we're both human
After all
Let your words
Be truthful
Honest
But also kind
Even disgust
Can be stated
Without malice
One man's trash
Is another's treasure
