She was choking. But there was a voice calling for a nurse and a woman came into my eyeline. "My name is Sara Sidle. Someone is coming to remove your intubation tube now." Sara says as (y/n) continues to choke. Then the tube was removed and she could breathe again. (y/n) was coughing, and struggling to breathe. Nasal prongs were inserted into her nose, giving her more oxygen. Then Miss Sidle was talking to her again. But she didn't get through her first question.

Because (y/n) had started seizing. "Nurse!" Sara screamed, making them rush in. They gave her medication to stop the seizing and the minute it stopped, (y/n) began to flatline. "Someone get on her chest. Miss Sidle, please wait outside." One nurse says, leading Sara out as the doctor rushed in to intubate her again. Sara nods and leaves to go meet up with Grissom at his crime scene. When she arrived, Grissom was standing at the bottom of the building.

All the while, Nick was tossing Dummies over the edge of the building. With each dummy came a wave of applause from the onlookers that were surrounding the police tape. After the third dummy was tossed from the roof, Grissom put an end to it. "Yes, yes." He says as he waves nonchalantly at the onlookers. As he began taking photos of each of the dummies and the way they landed. Pushed, fell, and jumped.

As Sara made herself known, a small smile crept its way onto Grissom's face. "I don't even have to turn around. Sara Sidle." He says as he turns to face the woman. "That's me." She says as she pulls off her sunglasses and Grissom notices that her smile doesn't quite reach her eyes all the way. "Still tossing simulation dummies? There are other ways to tell, you know." Sara reminds him as her mind occasionally flits back to (y/n) and her seizure.

"How? Computer Simulation? No, thank you. I'm a scientist, I like to see it." He explains to Sara, comparing it to Newton. Newton dropped apples, and Grissom dropped dummies. When Sara said he was old school, he more than happily agreed that he was. But at least he knew that the Victim was pushed from the roof. Then he watched Sara's smile drop. "I just went to see (y/n). It was awful." She admitted to Grissom, shivering despite the heat.

"They removed the tube, but she had a seizure and her heart stopped when they gave her medication for it. She had to get the tube put back in." Sara told Grissom who nodded a little. "Yeah, last I heard (y/n) was getting intubated from a collapsed lung post-op and Holly was still in surgery and she wasn't doing very well." Grissom told Sara who nodded and looked down at the pavement, finding it a little bit more interesting.

"That's too bad." Sara says to him and he nods. There were so many unanswered whys regarding Holly and (y/n). But for Sara, there was only one why that mattered right now. "Why did Warrick Brown leave that scene?" She asked him which was a rhetorical question as they didn't know why. The first thing Sara did when she got back to the CSI lab was look for Catherine. And she found her in a back room, looking over evidence for the Gribb's case.

"Do you know where I can find Catherine Willows?" Sara asks her, not knowing anyone around here and unaware that she is indeed talking to Catherine Willows. So when Catherine said she was out in the field, Sara hesitated, thrown through a loop. "Lemme guess, Sara Sidle?" She questions and Sara chuckles nervously. But even after Catherine threatens her about taking her case. They chatted for a good few minutes before they agreed to work together.

The best lead the two women had so far was a pager that was left at the crime scene. "Where'd you get the pager list?" Sara questioned as she leaned in to get a better look at the computer over Catherine's shoulder. Apparently, Catherine had gotten the Pager list from Grissom, who won it on eBay. "They're great for tracing if you can rely on the suspect's honesty." Sara mutters as they get back a contact name. Desmond Tutu.

Once Sara was sure she had it under control, she asked the brutally honest question that she needed to ask to get anywhere in her own case. "Where can I find Warrick Brown?" Sara questions Cathrine who didn't hesitate to answer. "Try one of the casinos of Blue Diamond Road." She says to the other woman honestly. Catherine didn't want to get Warrick in trouble but at this point, she didn't care.

She liked (y/n). The girl was a good CSI in her book and she could tell that (y/n) loved what she was doing in Las Vegas. "Oh, I'll page you with any information. (y/n) was a nice girl without a gun, she needs justice." Catherine informs Sara with a small smile. Sara grins back at her, looking at the pager while understanding the joke under all the serious information. After all, everyone deserves justice.

While Grissom and Nick were in the casino reviewing surveillance footage, (y/n) was coming too. This time, she had drugs in her system to stop her choking on the intubation tube. Her thumb found the nurse's button as quickly as she could. The nurse came in, checked her vitals, and called the doctor to come and speak to her. He explained in depth about her surgery and how lucky she was.

According to the doctor, (y/n) had taken three bullets. Two in the chest and one in the abdomen. One bullet had torn all the way through her stomach and out the other side, it had been a miracle it hadn't hit her spine. The other two had both pierced and lodged in her left lung, one of them just grazing her heart. Her spine and heart had been left completely intact. It was a miracle she was alive. They also told her that it wasn't likely her sister, Holly, would make it.

While (y/n) was receiving devastating news, Catherine was still on (y/n)'s case. "Holly's weapon's loaded, so just point the gun in the entry hole there to test fire." Bobby said to Cathrine. She thanked her coworker before she fired the gun. The two retrieved the bullet to run and compare it to a bullet removed from (y/n) so that they could eliminate Holly's gun as the weapon used to shoot both girls.

But upon comparing the bullets, they found the worst-case scenario. The bullets were a match. Catherine looked down the scope to confirm Bobby's findings and saw the match of the grooves each bullet made. That the grooves were identical. "He shot her and her sister with her own gun." She says to Bobby, shaking her head a little, imagining it. About how one of the girls fought back after Holly disposed of the gun.

Either under threat or by force, there would be no knowing until they spoke to (y/n). The dislodged phone meant someone pulled it out of the wall and sometime during the spat, the shooter had dropped his pager. Gil had received another phone call after he had arrested a suspect for the murder of the victim. As they were leaving, he received another call from the Hospital. (y/n) had asked for him.
