Knock knock!

You expected Liz to come in but to your surprise it was nurse Nygus instead. It had been a couple of weeks since your injury and you were almost at 100%. Your new friends had taken great care of you.

Nygus came over and greeted you, and then checked on your wounds. Everything looked good, and she gave you the ok to return to class that day if you had wished, and you had. You were so excited to take care of yourself again and not be babied anymore. You wanted to be a good friend and stop depending on your girlfriends so much.

Throughout the weeks you had really gotten to know your friends pretty well. They were all eager to tell you about their lives and their adventures, and you were eager to listen. They never asked you about your life, but then again, it was rare to find someone who preferred to talk about anyone but themselves.

Tsubaki was as close to that as you got, but she seemed to sence that your past was a sore subject. Out of all your new friends, Tsubaki was the most sensitive and sweet. She never tried to convince you to change yourself, or tell more than you were willing. Your other friends had good intentions, but sometimes Liz, Patty and Maka tried to get you to come out of your shell a little too quickly, and it made you a bit uncomfortable.

Your roommate Sachico was about as absent from the past few weeks as she always was. You were pretty sure she was always out with some boys. When she did stop by, she was never there long, and she never bothered to look in your direction.

You got dressed that morning, and heard yet another knock on your door, it was Patty.

"Heya Y/N! Big sis and I wanted to help ya walk to school."

She looked bright and cheery like always, but it was a bit odd to see her without her sister.

"Thank you Patty! Walking hurts a little bit..but Nygus and Stein said it's gotta hurt for me to get better." You smiled through the pain. It wasn't really pain though, it was more annoying and uncomfortable than painful.

You closed your dorm room behind you and Patty headed out for the day. As soon as you left the dorm you heard a familiar voice.

"I just don't understand why your acting like this! If that were me you wouldn't care." Said Liz

You stepped out of the dorm building to see Liz standing and scolding Death The Kid, who looked horribly disinterested.

Liz looked at you and Patty, and blushed, obviously embarrassed. Kid looked in your direction, his hardened gaze softened as he looked at you. You noticed he was holding something in his arms. Flowers. A beautiful bouquet of them. Not a massive gauty one, but a small neat one.

He walked over to you briskly and stuck his arms out, offering you the flowers. You felt horribly embarrassed, as Liz and Patty looked on, but you accepted the flowers, not wanting to be rude.

Kid smiled as he noticed how embarrassed you were, but his smile came and went pretty quickly.

"I'll catch up with you later." He said before he turned around and headed towards the school.

The school day had gone pretty spectacularly so far. You were immediately moved into the EAT class with all of your new friends, and Kid. You wanted to sit by Tsubaki, the sweetest of all your new friends. Kid looked at you with anticipation, but as you sat next to Tsubaki, the look on his face became disappointed.

Stein had told the class that you were a powerful meister with special abilities, and everyone accepted that.

Many people congratulated you on returning to school after your recovery, and the EAT class was incredibly welcoming. The lecture of the day was a tad boring, but you were happy to be a part of something.

Ding dong dong Ding

Class had just ended for the day. Your new friends clustered over to you so you could all leave together.

"So Y/N!" Said Maka
"We all wanted to hang out with you sometime! Do you think tomorrow would be ok at Gallows Manor?"

"I'm not sure where that is..." you said.

"Sure you do. I brought you there to recover remember?" Said Kid.

"Oh! Your place..um sure! I'd love to come over and see everyone."

"Awesome!!" Said Blackstar.
"THEN YOU CAN BE MY GIRLFRIEND!"

SLAP

Tsubaki had smacked Blackstar on the back of the head, and everyone giggled.

"Wear something cool ok?" Said Soul.
"Yeah!" Agreed Maka.

"Oh I um...I don't really have anything besides this." You said as you looked at your feet. The uniform was all you ever felt like you needed.

"Oh well that's ok!" Said Liz
"You can borrow something from me, just come early."

And so your friends all went their separate ways...besides Kid of course.

"May I walk you back to your dorm?" He cooed.

"This again...? Ugh...sure" you said, putting up almost no fight. It was a short walk after all.

"So um...Y/N?" Said Kid all of a sudden.

"Hm" you responded with little interest.

"I'd really like to take you out tonight. Would you be willing to go out with me?" He asked this confidently. He was walking by your side, not even looking at you.

"L-Like a date???" You asked in complete shock.

Kid stopped, looked at you and blushed madly.

"N-no! I just wanted to show you the town! Nothing like a date at all. Just friendly!"

You smiled. This guy seemed a bit creepy now and again...but he could be awfully cute.

"Well...I would be alright with that. I've never gone out with a friend before." You said enthusiastically.

"That's great." Said Kid "are you free now?"

"Sure! Where would you like to take me?"

"I know just the place."

He beamed. He looked overjoyed, and for some reason, seeing him look so happy, made you happy too.
