'Jer, keep turning my music down and i will quite literally chop off each of your fingers' Alyssa threatened her brother with a hard glare, causing him to quickly retract his hand, sulking whilst staring at his lap.
The girl smiled childishly as they passed the 'welcome to Forks sign'
'Finally, I swear we've been driving forever' Alyssa groaned, throwing her head back as Jeremy poked his head through the front seats.
'Sister I promise you, I think you're the most dramatic person to ever walk the Earth' Jeremy laughed as their father rolled his eyes at their sibling antics. It was like an endless cycle. Jeremy would do something to piss off Alyssa, and said girl then either threatened, insulted, or hit him.
'Sorry Dad, did you hear something?' Alyssa giggled, ' it's almost like an irritating buzzing sound'
'Ha, ha, ha, how very funny you are Lyssa' Jeremy laughed fakely, sitting back in his seat.
'Oh my God it's still going' she turned the radio louder, the lyrics of love story by Taylor Swift blasting through the vehicle.
'This is gonna be a long drive' Mason, their father, whispered to himself, turning to Alyssa who stuck her tongue out childishly.
~TIME SKIP~
'Lyssa you could at least make an attempt to help me with the boxes' Jeremy huffed, throwing his hands up in an exaggerated manner as he lifted one of the last boxes into her room.
'I very well could Jeremy but I've just gotten a manicure,' she rolled her eyes, glancing at her red painted nails, ' and does this face look like it was made for moving boxes?"
Jeremy released a huff before storming out of his twins room, purposely leaving the door open.
'How hard is it to close a door?' Alyssa muttered, the door slamming shut with a flick of her wrist.
Her phone soon released a buzz, indicating someone had messaged her.

After an hour or two, Alyssas room was complete. The once bright pink bed sheets were now a flawless white, and her dusty window seat was now pristine and adorned a multitude of plump cushions that matched her bedding.
Alyssa stared at her work proudly, though of course she hadn't lifted a finger, matter of fact, she hadn't even got up from her vanity.
'Lyssa come down here' Mason shouted from the living room, causing the girl to quickly fix her hair and then run downstairs, eager to see why her father needed her.
As she entered the living room, she stopped abruptly.
One of their two sofas were occupied by, what seemed to be, father and daughter.
As she gazed at the two of them, shooting her father a confused look, she wracked her mind for any name these people could be.
A girl her age stared back at her, her pale complexion almost blending in with the furniture.
A tall man sat beside her, a polite smile on his face, although his body language showed tension.
'Lyssa I would like you to meet Charlie and his daughter Bella' Mason smiled as he gestured to the new people, meeting eyes with Alyssa whilst also shooting her a subtle look. That look was one Alyssa had received over a hundred times from her father, it basically meant be nice, smile, and don't insult anyone.
'Hey?' Lyssa said, although it came out as more of a question. She plastered a slight smile on her face, noting that these two people, whoever they were, meant a lot to her father.
'Bella will be joining you and Jeremy tomorrow at your new school' Mason tried to ease the obvious tension, but knowing how his daughter would react if she felt she was being forced into becoming friends with Bella, he quickly changed the subject.
After a painful five minutes of awkward small talk, Alyssa quickly rose from her seat.
'So I'm gonna go' she smiled at her father whilst sharing a glance with her brother, knowing he wouldn't bombarde her with a list of questions on her whereabouts in front of guests.
'Where are you going?' Mason questioned, his tone light as he eyed his daughter quizzically.
'Just out, Livs picking me up' Alyssa grinned, grabbing an oddly shaped bag before flinging it over her shoulder and practically running to the car outside.
'Hey girl' Olivia laughed as she saw what her best friend was wearing, her body clad in a large jumper and leggings. 'I hope you weren't planning on wearing that' she continued as they drove off, throwing the bag into the back as the bottles made a clinking sound.
'Obviously not' Alyssa rolled her eyes for what felt like the millionth time that day. With a quick motion she lifted the grey hoodie up, revealing a baby pink, skin tight dress that was decorated with sequins and rhinestones.
(this is what she'll be wearing)
'That's more like it' Olivia nodded in approval as they arrived at the club, fortunately her dad had picked a house in between Forks and Seattle so the drive wasn't that long.
They both walked into the club with a certain air about them, and had all heads turning the second their heels touched the ground.
'Could I buy you a drink?' A man with dark hair and a chiselled jawline asked, a smirk on his face as he eyed Alyssa hungrily.
'Sure' Olivia answered for them and Lyssa seemed distracted with someone opposite them in the club.
Alyssa heart dropped as a pair of golden eyes met hers. Vampire. But something was different about this one. In her short life she had encountered their kind before but none had ever made her feel this way. This one didn't make her feel threatened.
Her long blonde waves concealed half of her face as she turned to look at a black haired male who was already glancing in Alyssa's direction.
A loud bang had everyone's heads spinning as the door hit the wall behind it with much more force than necessary.
'We need to go' Jeremy rushed into the party, gripping his sister's wrist whilst dragging her out into the cold air. If it were any other situation he would've reprimanded her for her outfit choice, he would've brought up Jace, although that would only piss her off.
As she was pushed into the vehicle, two thoughts lingered in her mind.
Who was that? And how did she make her feel that way?
