Kenna's POV :

Before I know it, it's a Monday morning and I'm on my way to school already!
And I'm late to school!

Time flies by when you're having fun, I remembered a quote from somewhere.

Why do we have a Monday?
I'm sure the world would've been in
better place if there was no Monday.
Can't they show a little mercy to poor kids like us who are deprived of happiness?

If I were to become The President of United States, I'd declare Monday a National holiday.
Of course that's never going to happen, but one can dream of it at least.

I made a rush to school only to be greeted by empty hallways.
Uh-Oh. I'm in trouble.
I rushed to my history class and composed myself before knocking and entering the class.

"Ms. Mckenzey you're late", remarked Mr. Wilson.

Yes Captain obvious, if me coming to class after the period has begun isn't more obvious.
Of course I didn't say that aloud. I don't have a death wish or more like a detention wish.
I grimaced at that thought.

"I'm sorry sir. I won't repeat it again", I said with a hint of sincerity in my voice.

"Only this one time Mckenzey", he let me in.

And then began the roller coaster ride of 1920's and 40's.
I really hope for his sake, his personal life is not as boring as his professional life is.

I drifted off to yesterday's incidents at home.
Sunday also known as the sacred day, where I devout my time to books.
Not the "academic" books, but to my novels.

I have a carton full of books from my favourite authors.
When I complete these books I go online and browse other books.
Sunday is where I either lock myself in my room to read or spend some quality time with family.

At lunch my mom asked me about my college life, my grades etc. And then came the topic I love to avoid and she loves to pest on.

"So, any guy we should know about?", mom asked me casually.

Dad raised his eyebrow waiting for my response.

"No mom. You need not worry, there's no one in my life besides Cooper who's done with me", I said honestly.

"What?", my mom asked surprisingly.

"Cooper who!?", Dad looked at mom and me for an explanation.

"Relax. I'm talking about my dream guy", I sighed.

"Get real sweety. There are lot of fishes in the sea, you just need to look properly.", she assured me.

"As long as they're like Cooper guy, I'm okay with it", Dad grinned at this.

When they found out about Cooper, mom was on the verge to take me to a psychologist, just to ensure I didn't lose my sanity.
Whilst dad was alright with it, as long as it's imaginary he's cool with it.

One of the biggest fears of Dad is her daughter getting home and announcing she's pregnant.
That's why he follows the quote Prevention is better than cure way too seriously.

Mom on the other hand is set on a mission to find me a boyfriend cause she had dad when they were in high school.

Yes that's right, they're high school sweethearts and mom wants the same fate for me.

The bell rung indicating the end of history period which pulled me out of my reverie.
I grabbed my books and made a beeline towards my locker.
