I breathed out the smoke, watching as it dissolved into the air, only leaving the faint blur afterwards.

I could feel the tears staining my cheeks, making it freeze on my skin in the cold breeze.

It was all a lie.

A lie.

I shook my head angrily, trying to get rid of the thoughts as I leaned my head back against the cold railing.

Another shaky breath left my lips as I closed my eyes for a brief second.

Hurt.

Broken.

Shattered.

There was no word to describe the void that was eating me up from the inside.

The faint sound of the door creaking open gained my attention as I quietly cursed underneath my breath while exhaling the smoke.

I didn't dare to open my eyes.

Because whoever was walking through that door would see me at my lowest.

The part of myself no one should be able to see.

"Sie?" I choked a little on my breath by the faint voice, already knowing this was the last person who should see me like this.

"Get back inside Aaron.." I whispered out quietly as I opened my eyes, not daring to look at him but instead flicking the cigarette off from the tower.

"You look sad..." He softly whispered out as I could hear his footsteps thud against the ground. "Are you sad?"

"I'm just having a bad day..." I whispered back while glancing up at him for the first time. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed as he stared down at me worriedly. "I'll get over it."

"Do you want a hug?" He mumbled out quietly as I watched him open his arms for me. A shaky breath slipped through my lips as I stared at him in wonder. How could this world ever have been cruel to him?
