it was a week later from when taylor's last volleyball game was. the team ended up winning the game at 3 but lost the next one, making them eliminated.taylor was now back in houston and so was her brother who was previously gone at the same time as taylor for a travel hockey game he had.
noah wasn't what you would call the best kid. i mean, he didn't do too bad in school and he played sports, which made his parents happy. but when he was 12, he's 17 now, he met a group of boys who were a year older than him grade wise. and since then he hasn't made the best decisions.
taylor knew he'd sneak out a lot and get high, as well as drunk but she didn't know if he did more than just those things.
taylor was laying in her room, watching tiktok before she got a text from her mother to come downstairs.
she hopped out of bed, nearly slipping on her wooden floor since she had on fluffy socks, and walked out of her room.
her house wasn't too big but it wasn't small either. it was a 2 story house and taylor was extremely grateful for it.
her room was the farthest room upstairs from the stairs. so she had to walk past noah's room. as she walked past it, she could hear noah yelling something at someone. she couldn't quite place what he was saying or who he was saying it to, but she guessed he was on fortnite or some video game.
he got really mad whenever he lost, taylor had first hand experience with it. one time they were playing fortnite together just for fun and they lost since taylor wasn't too good. noah got really mad and threw the controller at her. it broke on contact with her head.
she continued walking until she made it all the way downstairs, "why'd you text me mom?" she called out.
"i'm in the kitchen! we'll talk about it in here." jeanie yelled in response. it sounded like taylor was in trouble but she was confused on what she'd be in trouble for since she hasn't done anything too bad recently.
"okay!"
taylor walked into the kitchen. jeanie was sitting at the island on some chairs that were high they bought a few years back. she joined her there.
"what?" she asked, slightly confused on why she was called down here. "so remember cam and nelson? and that tall guy that looked older than cam that was always with nelson?" she asked.
taylor laughed, "are you talking about lavar?" she questioned. jeanie nodded, "yes, yes, lavar. remember them?"
"no." taylor sarcastically replied, stretching out the o. jeanie playfully rolled her eyes, "shut up, so you remember?"
taylor smiled as she nodded a yes in reply to jeanie's question. "well apparently nelson lives out here as well as cam and lavar. they invited you to film a video with them at nelson's house tomorrow. seems like a fun thing to do, yeah?" jeanie explained.
taylor was happy and excited. she was dying to get out of the house and her and nelson haven't been texting much recently so this came to her as a surprise.
she thought it'd be fun and she could make some good memories while being there. she nodded, "it does sound fun, what time tomorrow? i want to go."
"like around noon and nelson doesn't live too far away either. he lives 10 minutes away! cool huh?" jeanie answered.
taylor smiled and nodded, "mhm. cool."
"so you want to go?" jeanie asked her daughter. "yeah." she quickly replied. "okay, i'll text cam back right now! also dinner is soon, we'll have it in like 30. sounds good?" she asked.
