Once I woke up one morning. And spotted the snow covered ground outside. I knew that today was going to be an amazing day. I threw off my covers. Quickly grabbing some warm winter clothes. I rushed outside. Just to see how deep the snow was. This was way much more snow than I would get back at my hometown. Which is one of the reasons why I moved here in the first place. I ran back inside. Running to my bedroom and picking up my landline phone. Dialing a number and started to wait impatiently. "Hello?" His sweet voice called out, "Hello, baby." I twirled a strand of my hair, "BABY!" He cheered loudly. "Marv, shut up!" Harry yelled in the background. I smiled widely. "Did you see the snow outside!?" Marv asked me, "Yeah, that's why I called you." I replied, "Can we please spend all day together?" Marv begged me. I already knew the answer to that question. "That's what I was about to ask you." I responded, "YAY! I'LL BE RIGHT OVER! I LOVE YOU, BYE!" Marv ranted out, "I love you too, sweetheart." I giggled as I hung up the phone. Laying back down on my bed. A large smile plastered onto my face. Thinking about the wonderful day I had ahead of me. And also thinking about just how much I loved my boyfriend. It was weird how I felt myself getting butterflies from talking on the phone earlier. Since we're already dating.
A couple minutes later. The silence was broken by the sound of somebody knocking at my front door. I leaped out of my bed. Rushing over to the front door. Then swinging the front door open. "Baby!" Marv hugged me tightly. I returned the embrace in an instant. I slipped my hand into his as we both stepped onto my porch. Marv ran into the snow. Leaning down to pick up a handful of snow. Before throwing it at me. I ducked my head as the snowball hit my front door. "No fair!" He complained. I giggled insanely. Running out into my front yard. Balling up a handful of snow. Managing to throw it at him while he was distracted. His response was to fall very dramatically into the snow. "That's unfair. I was distracted." He said to me as I approached him, "Oops, you should've been paying attention, hun." I shrugged. Suddenly, he reached out towards me. Pulling me down with him. Causing me to burst into a fit of laughter. "This is why I love Christmas." He spoke up, "Me too. It's even better this year now that I have you." I gazed at him, "I could say the same." He leaned over and gave my lips a small peck. A lovestruck smile spread out across my face. "Ooooo, we should make a snowman!" Marv sat up quickly, "Yesss!" I cheered in excitement. I leaped out of my spot. Before I started to roll up a large ball of snow. Rolling and placing it right in the middle of my yard. Marv picked up a large ball of snow. Then he tried to put it on top of the snowball that I just rolled. But he fell backwards and the snowball fell on top of him. I laughed so hard that I fell backwards into the snow. Wiping tears from my eyes. "Hey! That took so long to make!" He whined in protest, "Not really, that only took you a minute." I stood up. Grabbing his hand and pulling him up. "Fine, that means you have to help." He gazed down at me, "Okay, honey." I smiled in response. I started to roll up another ball of snow. While Marv helped in the process. We both picked up the large ball of snow. Placing it on top without any incidents. "Alright, now one more ball of snow." I breathed out, "Ughhh..." He groaned, "You're the one who wanted to do this." I giggled at his reaction. Now starting to roll up another ball of snow. He helped me pick it up as we both placed it on top. "Nowww, he needs a face and a hat. And arms..." I trailed off as I glanced around my yard for any possible materials. "Gotcha!" Marv immediately started looking around the yard. I ran back inside and grabbed a carrot from the fridge. Before picking up an old hat and scarf. Running back outside. "I found some rocks!" He ran up to me. Before he then poured a handful of rocks into my hand. "Great!" I ran back over to the snowman. Placing them in the correct place. I reached for the carrot and put it right in the middle. Marv came running over as soon as I put the scarf off. He stuck one stick on either side. Before he backed up towards me. Snaking an arm around my waist. "It's perfect." Marv grinned, "I know." I smiled in response.
Soon after we headed into town. Since I remember hearing about some Christmas parade going on. And I knew that Marv was going to love that. The streets were littered with little kids playing in the snow. Every house was decorated with beautiful Christmas lights and decorations. I could feel the warmth radiating off of Marv's hand. I stayed close by his side to face the cold. The snow crunched underneath our footsteps. As we were both walking past a house with kids. A stray snowball flew towards us. Hitting Marv directly in the head. His response was to fall backwards very dramatically. I giggled insanely. "Come on baby, get up." I grabbed his arm, "No, I'm dead." He replied. I covered my mouth to prevent myself from bursting into a fit of laughter. "No you aren't." I tried pulling him up myself, but failed in the process. The kids nearby were also laughing about the situation. I kneeled down beside him. "Okay, then I guess you don't wanna cuddle and watch Christmas movies together when we get home." I shrugged, "NO, WAIT!" He quickly sprung to his feet, "That got you." I smiled in response. We both continued to walk to the cafe to get some hot chocolate before the parade started. There were already people gathered downtown. The road was blocked off for the parade. Marv seemed so happy by the sight. Which I found adorable.
We stepped inside the warmth of the cafe. I wasn't surprised that they were crowded. Everybody must be getting ready for the parade. Marv stood closely behind me as we started to wait in line. "Can we get something to eat too?" Marv asked me, "Yeah, totally. I'm starving right now." I replied, "Yes! I wanna get a gingerbread cookie." He inquired very proudly. A large smile broke out onto my face. Soon we reached the front of the line. "Two peppermint mochas, and..." I gazed up at Marv, "Gingerbread cookie." Marv grinned in response. I shook my head at his behavior. "Yeah, and one croissant." I reached into my pocket as I spoke. Pulling out my wallet. I handed the cashier some cash. Then sat at one of the booths with Marv. Right beside the large windows. Outside we could see them setting up the parade. Snow littered every inch of the ground. It was like a winter wonderland. I wasn't used to having snow so close to Christmas. For me it would always end up snowing in January. "Do you think they're gonna throw candy?" Marv gazed at me, "Well, maybe. If the candy doesn't get lost in the snow." I shrugged. He nodded his head. Continuing to gaze outside. His behavior was so cute. I loved it so much. Soon our food and drinks were ready. I got up and carried them both back over to Marv. "Snow is so much better with you." He said as he took a bite out of his cookie, "I could say the same, hun." I scraped the jelly onto my croissant. His eyes never left the window for a single second. He looked at everything with amazement in his eyes. He became so distracted by them setting up the parade that he nearly forgot about his peppermint mocha. "Baby, your drink. It's gonna get cold." I spoke up, "Oh, yeah, right-" He grabbed his drink. I watched his actions with pure amazement. Feeling amazed by every little thing he does. He means so much to me and he doesn't even realize it. Marv noticed me staring at him. "What?" He asked me, "I'm sorry, you just look so cute when you exist." I rested my chin in the palm of my hand. A goofy smile spread out across his face. I could feel myself dying of cuteness at the sight of his smile.
Soon the parade started. Both me and Marv were standing outside. Along the sidewalk with crowds of people surrounding us. I stayed close to him to face the intense cold. "Ughhh, can it start already?" Marv complained, "Be patient." I giggled, "I've been waiting long enough." He replied, "Then you're gonna have to wait a little bit longer, baby." I answered. His response was to groan loudly. I laughed lightly at his behavior. The loud chattering around us faded out. A Christmas float was approaching in the distance. Marv's eyes widened. He started to jump up and down in excitement. I ignored the weird looks people were giving us. Because I was just glad that Marv was in a good mood. "Calm down." I laughed. It was weird how Marv was acting exactly like the little kids surrounding us were. Once the float reached us. They started to throw candy. Marv grabbed a handful of them in an instant. Preventing any little kids from getting any. "Here." Marv dropped a handful of candy into my hand, "Thanks, hun." I smiled in response. Ignoring the sound of crying behind us. I loved how he looked amazed by everything. I found it so adorable. I glanced around and saw some people sitting on other people's shoulders. That was an excellent idea that came to my mind. "Hey, baby." I called out to him, "Yeah?" He stuck a piece of candy in his mouth, "Can I sit on your shoulders?" I asked him. Marv shrugged in response. Kneeling down so I could climb on his shoulders. I smiled widely. Climbing onto his shoulders. I felt so tall sitting on his shoulders. His hands grabbed my thighs. I laid my hands on his hair. Watching the floats in the distance. And also seeing some cars from the 50s and 60s in the background. "What's it like up there, babe?" Marv asked me, "I've never felt this tall before." I answered, followed by his laughter. My hands started to play with his hair. I almost became too distracted by playing with his hair to even be paying attention to the parade. "Sweetheart! Look!" He called out. I glanced up and saw the classic cars. "Wow!" I gaped at the sight. One of the cars was playing Christmas songs on the radio. I smiled at the sight. Somebody approached us. It was the Mom of the kid who Marv stole the candy from. "Excuse me." She said to Marv, "Huh?" Marv looked at her confused, "I don't appreciate you stealing all the candy. You made my son cry. You're a grown man for crying out loud." She said to him. I could see the hurtful look on Marv's face. And that's what really ticked me off. "How about you mind your own business?" I said to her. She looked up at me. "You need to get your boyfriend under control. I'm surprised he even has a girlfriend if he's this immature." She responded, "No, I don't need to 'get him under control.' Because I love him just the way he is. And I promise you. Whoever upsets him. They always end up regretting it. So shut your mouth." I snapped at her. She looked offended by my outburst. She grabbed her son's hand. Walking to a different part of the sidewalk. "Thanks, baby." Marv said to me, "You're welcome, precious. Nobody ruins your mood and gets away with it." I answered. He grinned widely at my words.
Once the parade ended. We started to walk home. I had planned on cuddling and watching Christmas movies with Marv. I pretended to tie my shoe. And once his back was turned. I balled up a handful of snow. Throwing it at the back of his head. He slowly turned around. I was bursting into a fit of laughter. "Wait till we get home." He said to me, "You'll have to catch me first." I ran around him, darting across the road. I giggled as I glanced behind me. Watching as Marv chased after me. The cold December air blew through my hair and nipped at my ears. A cold wind was blowing on my face. I finally reached home. Marv pounced on me and made us both fall over. He landed right on top of me. "You know I can run faster than you, right?" He asked me, "Yeah, but it was still funny." I giggled, "It's so hard to stay mad at a face that cute." He responded. Blush coated my cheeks at his words. I looked beside us and noticed that our snowman was knocked over. "Awww baby, our snowman." I said. Marv glanced beside us. "Stupid kids." He mumbled, "We can always rebuild it later." I said to him, "You're right. You wanna head inside now? I'm freezing my ass off out here." He asked me, "Sure." I giggled. Marv lifted himself off of me, then extended his hand towards me. He pulled me into his arms. We both walked inside. "I'm gonna pick out a movie. Can you make us something hot to drink?" I asked Marv, "Of course, babe." He shrugged off his jacket. I went back to my room to change into something comfortable. Then I looked through the drawers underneath my TV stand. Picking out "A Christmas Story." Dad's favorite Christmas movie. I went into the kitchen. Reaching for a box of gingerbread cookies. "Since when did you have those?" Marv asked me, "I hid them so you wouldn't find them." I laughed, "That's unfair." He pouted, "Well, you get to have some now. That's not really unfair now, is it?" I approached him. He smiled down at me. Lightly grabbing me and pulling me into a warm embrace. I gladly returned the hug. "I love you so much. I can't wait to spend another Christmas with you." He said to me, "I love you too, sweetheart. I can't believe our 1 year anniversary is coming up." I answered, "Me too." I smiled in response. The beeping of the microwave ruined our moment. I walked back into the living room while Marv finished up the hot chocolate. Laying in my recliner with the box of cookies. He set down both mugs beside me. Kicking off his shoes before cuddling up next to me. I grabbed a cookie just as the movie started. Laying my head against his chest. Feeling his warmth radiating off of him.
