I sat on the comfortable hotel bed pondering what to do for the rest of the day. I had picked the bed closest to the window, and it was wode open. I could see the sea shimmering outside in the fast receeding sunlight. There were a handful of people in groups on the beach, each sticking to their twos or threes. I closed my eyes and felt the breeze on my face and smiled, i couldn't wait for the training period to be over so i could finally feel the proper ocean breeze.
I reluctantly got up, feeling a bit dizzy, i shakily walked into the bathroom. It was enormous. Absolutely enormous. There were two sinks, each opposite each other with five baths with shower heads on each side of the room. There were shower curtains separating each of them. Wow.
The tiles were a mixture of blue and a couple of red ones, matching the colour of the blue building and the red contoirs around the doors and windows. There was a wall size mirror at the end of the room. I sighed, quickly scrubbed myself clean of the sweat on my hot body, and slipped on a pair of white linen shorts with a plain white tube top. Then i put on some waterproof mascara and uv protection bright red lipstick.
Just as i was pulling the tube away from my lips, i heard the door open, then slam shut, making me jump like, a foot into the air. I guess its a roommate. I get out of the battroom to investigate. Its a girl (duh) of about 5" 4, defo shorter that me. She had long, black hair that came way lower that her hip. I coughed, and she turned around, obviously annoyed from the interruption, but when she saw me, her striking bright eyes suddenly lit up and she smiled warmly at me, "Hey, my name's Emmaline, but you can call me emma, or em, since we're gonna be roommates for the next couple of weeks." She grinned at me, showing her perfect (blindingly white) teeth. "Umm, hi..." I hesitated, " emma. My name's Serena, nice to meet you."
She quickly caught her humongous suitcase before it toppled on her tiny legs. I quickly rushed to help her. "Haha, that's quite a big suitcase you have there!" I joked, she smirked at me and jutted her chin out towards my bed. "Oh," i said laughing, " its just i like to come well prepared." On my bed, there was a suitcase, roughly the size of emmaline's, and another one on top, just a bit smaller that the one on the bottom, and one on top of that, and one on top of that one, exetera. Untill there was like, 5 suitcases on top of each other, with a rucksack leaning against them, containing my swim costumes, and my bag propped up against it. I quickly helped emmaline pull her bag next to the bed that was next to mine.
So i was gonna sleep next to her. " if you snore, imma smother you in your sleep." Emmaline said matter-of-factly. I laughed, "i best watch my back, we have a killer on the loose!"
"Oi, watch it!" Emmaline yelled. I giggled and threw a pillow at her. She hunched over. "Oh my god emmaline are you okay, im so sorry, i didn't mean to," i tapped her back, "emmaline..." She wasn't responding. I shook her lightly, and she tilted her head back revealing a sickly smile,
"This means war."
Before i could process anything, she grabbed the nearest pillow and whacked me straight in the jaw. "Oh no you didn't" i laughed
"Oh yes i did." She replied cockily. I lunged at her with a pillow gripped tightly in my hand, but she nipped out of my way just in time. She was laughing histerically, whilst i crept up to her and hit her in the face with a pillow. Emma quickly ducked behind the next bed and grabbed another pillow and lunged it at me, but i ducked. Instead of hitting the door, it hit my other roommate.
She stood, stunned. She had a nice hourglass body shape which probably got all the guys swooning for her. She was tanned very dark, and had dark brown hair which bounced in ringlets around her face and shoulders. Her blue eyes complimented her skin colour really nicely. She turned towards us slowly, then her face crept into a genuine sheepish smile, one which wrinkles at the eyes. "Hello, my name's Emmaline!" Emma chirruped in her twinkling voice, " you can call me em or emma if you want, oh and this is serena! What's your name?"
"Oh, bella." She said in in a thick brazilian accent. Not being lez or anything, but her accent was sexy. " oh, i heard that there's a party going on on the beach for our group only! Come with!" Bella said.
"Sure, we'd love to!" Emma sid joyfully
"Yup, we'll come!" I smiled
"Okay, let me quickly shower and get out of my sweaty clothes," bella laughed, "i cant wait, eek!" Okay, i was seeing her bubbly personality shine through the thick shy layer. I was seeing how she's alot like emma. "We'll wait." I smiled, and she smiled back at me.
I didn't know it then, but with that smile there was a girlfriend click in both of us, i could tell we'd get along like a house on fire. I turned to emma, "so what are you gonna wear?"
"Oh shit, i forgot!" She said, her bright green eyes twinkling like before. Haha, i'm starting to really like my roommates. I just can't wait to meet the guys at this party!! Eeeek.
