Mystic Falls
Old Lockwood Cellar Cave
Meanwhile...

A frustrated sigh released from Abby's lips while she glared with irked at the magically sealed coffin. She has been working non-stop for hours and nothing is happening. The woman grabbed her grimoire from her bag and carefully placed it on top of the oak wooden coffin.

She opened it, turned a few pages, and skimmed over the spells idly. 'There has to be something in this grimoire.' she mused, impatience.

Abby continued turning pages until she stopped halfway when she noticed a page was torn out. She recalled how she treated this old book harshly, opened it, ripped the page out violently, and destroyed it. The spell that she used to seal Mikael in the tomb. Then she shut the book and put it away to never see it again after she realized she no longer had magic.

Yet, here she is, after a witch vision after fifteen years of no magic. Abby gently touched the little bit of paper that she had torn out years ago. Her heart swells with guilt and shame to be treated horribly to this ancient book.

She double-take when she noticed something. On the page, it was a sealing spell but she is more focused on the old drawing on the side of the page. Abby turned the grimoire around and stroked the drawing that reminded her of an infinity symbol. "A blood knot." she whispered, pondering with calculating eyes.

Abby shifted her gaze at the sealed coffin and back to the symbol drawn on the page. Understanding grasps her. "Of course." she exhaled.

Then she heard footsteps and faint voices. Abby whirled around with cautious and alarmed eyes. Her stiff muscles relaxed when she saw the Salvatore brothers arrive by the passage that blocked their entry.

"Why haven't you opened the coffin yet?" Stefan badgered as he glared at the sealed coffin.

Damon placed his hand on Stefan's shoulder, silently telling him to calm down. However, the young Salvatore jerked his shoulder away. "Don't." he warned his brother with an irritated glare.

The older Salvatore rolled his eyes. "You are being childish."

"Childish?" Stefan scoffed with incredulity and faced his brother. "Damon, I can barely tolerate that you undaggered Elijah. But the rest of the Originals?" he shakes his head, frustrated. "We need that coffin to open right now." he jabs his finger at the mystery coffin.

Then the young Salvatore turned his attentive eyes at the woman. "Which I thought it should be open by now."

Abby narrowed her eyes at the disrespectful tone. "As I told you before, this takes a while." she shot with defensively.

Stefan huffed loudly and scratched his temple with his thumbnail. Damon eyed the woman with a scrutinized. "How long is a while?" he questioned.

"Well, I found out that in order to open this casket—" Abby grabbed her grimoire and turned around to show the page to the Salvatore brothers." —this is the answer."

"What is it?" Damon asked, confused while frowning at the old drawing on the page. Stefan studied it with neutral interest.

Abby tapped the page. "This is a blood knot." she could easily see the blank faces the Salvatore brothers were making which made her eyes roll. "It means to bind it, you need two generations. A bloodline, like...two keys to a safety deposit box."

"So...?" Stefan raised his impatience eyebrow.

Abby exhaled through her nose while her lips lined. She cocked her eyebrow with slightly sassy. "So it means that I need Bonnie."
