Alarm rings, 6:30am. I have no willing in going to school, only good thing is that there are my best friends, at least it's a sunny day, if it was rainy I probably wouldn't go. I make my bed, take a shower, get dressed, do my hair, prepare my lunch and leave. I walk to school listening to Arctic Monkeys, which is the best part of going to school, and if I'm moody, they for sure light up my mood. Here I am, Shakespeare's High School, it's 7:30 and there's already a plenty amount of people gathering in front of the school's gate, and there they are: Marla, Grace and Crystal. My friend group and I are the perfect example that opposites attract, apart from our appearance, (I'm blonde, Marla has afro hair, Grace's a redhead and Crystal is a brunette) we also have very different personalities. I'm nice with everyone apart from one person, I'm neat, serious and very ambitious, Marla's mean with people she doesn't know but nice with her friends, she's moody though I must admit, but also very smart and EXTREMELY serious (almost scary), Grace is a special case, it's as if she's disconnected from the world, I'm not sure how else to explain it, also like right now, both of Marla and Crystal saw me and started walking towards me and she's still searching through the people where I am. She's easy-going, nice, funny to be with and all but, christ sometimes I'd just grab her head, smash it on a table while screaming "Wake the fuck up!", Crystal is the calmest person living on earth, literally everyone loves her because she is such a sensible person, only bad trait is that she's touchy, like exaggeratively touchy. We're so different that people still question how we're friends (I too am part of this people) , we just click, we communicate through our eyes, no words needed and they're my soulmates.
"I don't want to go back." Marla says,
"Neither do I" Crystal adds,
"Did you do the essay that Mrs. Harris assigned?"
"Of course I have." Marla answers.
Crystal doesn't respond, Grace isn't even listening.
"You girls are lost case."

First period, physics,I said everything.
I'm like 5 minutes late because Grace couldn't find the art department because they moved it to a bigger room, so I had to bring her there and now I'm late.
Luckily, the teacher hasn't arrived yet, although I have a better surprise (sarcastically better), there's one seat left and it's next to Enea.
Enea , your new earring would easily heal if you stopped teasing it, but you can't and won't.
He stares at me, head to toes, every single inch of my body, he's eating me with his eyes.
He's pretty, but he flirts with every single human being who has a vagina, counting myself in, so I preclude any possibility of him liking me.
"Good morning, Olympia Makris." He states indolently
"Morning, Enea Vavalà" I reply.
He isn't at all an ugly guy, he changed a lot since last year.
He's tall, brunette , a lot of earrings, dresses always total black and smells good.
His personality is the problem.
He's cold, mean, play boy, lazy, unfriendly and a whole lot of other bad personality traits that I won't even list.
"What did you do this summer?" He asks me
"Nothing much, why?"
"It was just to have a conversation, didn't want to seem mean"
"Don't worry, you don't seem mean, you are mean ,which is a different thing"
"Hey I'm trying to be nice and to change, you could just appreciate the effort you know..." he mumbles.
It caught me off guard, I didn't expect that from him, he's trying to change, good for him.
"Where are your friends?"
"They're on their way, they're probably going to say something about your seat, just don't move, I'd rather be sat next to you anyway."
"Okay."
Jesus, he really went through something.
A few other people arrive and also the teacher with them.
This last few steps repeated for the next couple of hours until break, the teacher talking about what they did this summer, asking us what we did and the same things over and over and over.
I can't wait to go home, I'd really like to but I can't.
My friends are chatting at our usual table where we sit at lunch but honestly, I'm not even listening.
I'm thinking about what Enea said to me, he seemed to be really serious and extremely convinced about what he said, but he literally whispered it, as if he didn't want to let the other people hear it.
"Olly, is everything okay? It's seems like your lost in your own thoughts." Crystal asks me in a shaky voice
"Yes girls sorry, it's just that something weird happened today morning. You do know Enea Vavalà right?"
All of them agree
"He sits next to me in physics and begins a conversation with me-"
"Wow" Marla states sarcastically
"Hey,I'm not all head over heels because he spoke to me, it was the conversation we had. He told me he changed, at least he's trying to, but he literally whispered it, as if he didn't want anybody else to know, then he tells me that he wants to sit next to me instead of his friend during class, and I don't know. In my opinion, I don't think he likes me, I don't think he's changed and I don't think he's willing to, so I don't believe a single word he said."
"Damn a little harsh" Grace says
"I mean, as long as she didn't say that to him and just kept it in her head (luckily), he supposed to be happy and he has no idea what she thinks about what happened so, he's okay anyway."
Crystal replies.
Bell rings, last two periods before going home, finally, I'm exhausted. The moment I step in into my home, I'm gonna lay in bed and go into hibernation till it's summer again.
I open my locker and I see something falling down, a small rectangular piece of paper.
I open it, today's date
04/09/2023
"You look really good today, more than usual. I must say, you look really great in that sweatshirt , white really is your colour :)"
It's an ordinated hand writing, in a black gel pen, the letter isn't signed though so I have no clue who wrote it.
Probably Norman, but I hope it isn't him.
He had a crush on me last year but he's smelly and never brushes his teeth, so I wouldn't imagine seeing myself with someone who's hygiene is lower than my willing to study I.T.
If I had to pick someone else, I would probably pick Samuel, but he's dating Emma and I don't want to interfere in his relationship, they were also named the cutest couple of the year last valentine so.
The last one I can think about, no, it can't be, I refuse. Not that I wouldn't want to, he's literally the hottest guy in the whole school, but as I have already said, he flirts with literally everyone, so no.
I've got the last two classes of the day, I will probably fall asleep again like I did during music, and these classes are also the most boring during the day. Geometry and science. Please just kill me already.

Both of the classes have finished (finally), I'm gathering with my friends at our usual place, a little bench right after school, I have to tell them what happened, I mean they're my best friends.

"Hey girls" Grace giggles while doing little jumps
"Heyy" All of us reply
"Girls I must tell you something"
"Spit it out girl" Marla exclaims
"Yes come on" Crystal insists
"So today inside of my locker I found this, and I'm hypothesising who could be, I thought about Norman but I'd reject him (he liked me last year so maybe he still has a crush on me) , then I thought Samuel because we almost had a thing but he's dating that girl so the last person that has remained..." I explain while grabbing the letter inside of my backpack
"It's Enea" Marla continues
"Yeah"
"Well aren't you happy? Half of the school wants him and he's all over you" Crystal states
"I'm not sure if it's him and I don't even want to preclude any chance of the fact that maybe this admirer could be Ethan"
I liked Ethan, I like Ethan but he doesn't like me. He likes Crystal but she's a lesbian and dating a girl named Lola, however he still isn't over her.
I confessed to him but he told me that "I'm not his cup of tea" which is some bullshit because you don't date someone only based on their looks, also I don't think I'm an ugly girl.
"You still like him, I'm disappointed." Marla shouts in a taut voice
"Hey it took you seven months to go over Matthew"
"Yeah and I'm glad I did, anyway, I gotta go home."
"Same" both of Grace and Crystal answer
"Well I guess I'm going too. Bye girls!"
"Bye!" all of them reply.
