Chapter 15 | The perfect Enemy

"Alice!" Emilia shouted as she stared at her step sister in shock.

"The one and only." Alice replied smiling at her sister.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Emilia asked still finding it difficult to believe her eyes.

"That's no way to say hello." Alice teased her playful demeanor not changing.

"Cut the crap you know I would never great you."

"Well true but I at least hoped my older sister would be happy to see me." Alice smiled again hoping to annoy Emilia even more.

"You should know I only feel happy when you're several kilometers away from me."

"That almost hurts my feelings, especially since I have been so kind to wait for you to come out of detention. Tell me is blowing up the laboratory your idea of defeating me?" Alice mocked.

"It was only a simple accident." Emilia lied somehow managing to keep a straight face.

"I doubt it. But I wanted to let my dearest sister know that I transfered schools and now I'm your classmate. I can't wait to see how intelligent you are." Alice chuckled clearly mocking her step sister.

"You transfered schools! Why?" Emilia asked obviously surprised. Although it was too soon to tell, Emilia knew having to learn in the same class as Alice would prove to be a nightmare.

"Because I wanted to and dad didn't have a problem with it so here I am." Alice gave her reason. Albeit Emilia already knew the reason for Alice's sudden transfer and that was to torture her.

There was absolutely no other reason Alice would change schools unless it was to make Emilia's life miserable.

"I sear you look human on the outside but you might really be a devil in disguise." Emilia voiced out her thought's causing Alice to laugh hysterically.

"If I'm the devil then what does that make you?!" Alice asked Emilia before she started to leisurely walk away from her.

"I will see you soon Emilia!" Alice shouted as she walked away not even bothering to look back.

"Don't compare me with you." Emilia finally answered Alice's question once she was no longer insight.

Once Emilia realised school was over she walked to where she had preciously agreed to meet up with Kimberly.

"Took you long enough get in." Kim said after she noticed her best friend approaching.

"I didn't mean to make you wait."  Emilia replied, instantly getting in Kim's car.

"You seem to be in a bad mood. Did something happen?" Kim asked quickly looking at Emilia next to her.

"It's nothing don't worry about it." Emilia replied watching the trees their car passed fade into the distance.

"If you say so. Hey since tomorrow is a Saturday do you want to go to a party with me? I promise it will be fun." Kim assured excitement written on her face as she waited for Emilia's answer.

"I can't. I have to study tomorrow." Emilia replied in a low tone.

"Study?!" Kim asked surprised. For all the years she's known her, Emilia has never studied before let alone on a weekend.

"I can't believe you're going to study. Is it the end of the world?"

"Don't act so surprised you know I can't beat my sister without studying."

"Yeah but wouldn't it be much easier to bribe the teachers instead of going through all that trouble?"

"I already thought of cheating but i don't think it's going to work right now." Emilia replied frustrated.

"Why do you say so?"

"My Father wouldn't let me cheat in this important contest he's probably watching my every move." Emilia explained.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Kim replied feeling bad for her friend. She knew how important this exam would be for her friend yet she couldn't help her in anyway.

"Were here." Kim announced as she reached Emilia's house.

"Thanks all the best on your date. Tell Harper i said hi." Emilia said after the exited the car and closed the door.

"I will. Take care Emily!" Kim shouted as she drove off.

Emilia entered the house and was Immediately greeted by Annette.

"Welcome home My lady. I prepared a bath for you." Annette said.

"Okay I will clean up then." Emilia ascended up the stairs into the bathroom. Once she was inside she took off her clothes and sat in the tub.

The warm water felt good and refreshing as it soaked her skin however Emilia's mind was too occupied to take any notice.

"If I want to get smarter I need to start studying, the way I am I can't ever hope to defeat Alice." She thought, knowing her entire future rested on her ability to study.

When Emilia finished with her bath she wore her bathrobe and headed straight for her wardrobe.

She picked out a red sleeveless mini dress. The dress looked stunning on her. It also fit her nicely which only added more emphasis to her great figure.

Emilia then went to her study room and began to study physics and mathematics. Yet unfortunately a lot of concepts didn't make scence and everything was too complicated for her to understand.

"I wish Nathan was here." Emilia sighed resting her head on the table.
