Two months later.

The door creaked open, bringing in a single ray of light from the hallway inside.

The man looked around, before recognizing his room mate huddled up next to his bed, his frame turned away from the door, facing the balcony.

"Hobi? "

There was no response.

However as soon as he was about to reach for the light switch, the other man's strained voice could be heard.

"Don't Joon. Just..don't... "

The man could only sigh as he let the door close behind him, as walked in, making himself comfortable beside his roommate.

"Don't do this to yourself Hoba. "
Namjoon's voice was nothing but a soft plea.

"You know it helps me think better. "

Hoseok answered.

"And you know this is gonna end up with nightmares for months more. "

"I'm used to it. "

"You shouldn't be. It was an old training habit. We left it way back in the orphanage. "

Hoseok still refused to look at his roommate, his gaze farther away, staring in to their glass covered sky.

There were no stars that night and the moon seemed unusually bleak.

Strangely similar to his mind.

The guilt seemed to burden his heart the more he thought.

It was muddled mess, his thoughts.

He knew he should stop. But it seemed that his mind was refusing to obey him this time.

That was why he had chosen this. Sitting alone in absolute darkness.

Something the nuns back in his orphanage used to make the kids do everytime they behaved out of the norms.

Something the nuns had Hoseok do countless times, till his denial had turned
into acceptance and fear had subsided, giving way to nightmares that would visit him instead.

If it was a black room for Hoseok, then it had been a white one for Namjoon. But that was a tale for another time.

He finally looked at his roommate beside him.

Oh.. He's been worried.

"Did I worry you too much Joon-ah?"

"Of course! "
Namjoon answered, relieved that the other was finally replying.

"You know you didn't do it intentionally.

It's no use beating yourself up over it. What's done is done. What we really need to do is something about the current situation ! "

"I know. But it was something that shouldn't have happened still.

I'm the one always warning others about the words they speak and yet... "

He couldn't help but wince at the memory.

"And yet I yelled out such bullshit, insensitive to the gravity my words held... "

He bitterly let a disappointed chuckle escape.

Namjoon could easily read through the other man, they had been beside each other for years more than one could count on their fingers.

But even after so much time, he didn't know what to do when Hoseok got like this.

It may happen rarely, but he hated it. Hoseok being so vulnerable, so fragile.. As if a single touch would shatter the man who otherwise had the poise of a hawk on hunt.

"You know.... It's only hyung who could have us like this. It's my fault Joon-ah. I got so into my emotions that I let them takeover... "

Hoseok paused.. looking up at the sky.

"I remembered this the other day....

Remember when Jimin and Tae had that huge argument?

Jin hyung had said this when he broke up their argument....

That it's okay to let your anger out because sometimes it is more honest than your words of fake peace ever could be..

I'm pretty sure hyung thinks I was serious.. That I was being honest...

And I'm also sure, our hyung of now won't remember the second part of that. "

Namjoon felt a warmth pool his stomach, the strange understanding dawning up on him as he sat there.

"That anger can also be sometimes the biggest liar there is, for it clouds your mind and shows you things that aren't there.. "

He finished the words for Hoseok.

The other nodded.

They couldn't help but think of what happened two months ago...

A month after the Grecian God's visit.

The warring scent of blood and disinfectant hit him the moment the glass doors slid apart, making way as he took in the chaos in medbay.

Jimin and Chaeyoung were standing at different tables, worried, stressed, whole several other medical agents he didn't know were running around the bay, assisting, helping, cleaning, and doing whatnot with much similar expressions.

Jin's heart felt like it would burst anytime, a mixture of anger and fear swirling around in his head while anxiety pooled in his stomach as he looked around, trying to grasp how severe the situation truly was.

Taehyung was getting his arms stitched, while his head was already bandaged.

Lisa on the other bed had her left leg in a cast, having her bloodied lip cleaned as she winced.

Despite running around as medics, both Chaeyoung and Jimin had their fair share of bloodied bandages.

Jennie was furiously talking on a phone call, her elbow and knees both bandaged.

He was looking around for Yoongi, when the sound of a stretcher being rolled in was heard.

Seokjin felt his stomach drop as he saw who it was.

Jungkook, bloodied and stabbed, eerily pale with one hand clutching his dripping shoulder, being rolled in hurriedly towards the back entrance and into the covert ambulance.

Seokjin felt his blood run cold, fear enveloping his anger and confusion in one large wave, helplessness carving away at his heart...

He was about to follow when another one rolled in right then, Seokjin felt his throat dry up when he saw her, his heart stilled.

She was half conscious, her eyes drifting towards him for moment before they drifted again, it seemed that Jisoo too had been stabbed, her appearance was similar to Jungkook's, bloodied, bruised, and pale, almost lifeless.

How did it become so bad ?
How could things go so wrong ? Where they ambushed? Wasn't this an official mission?
