I, 'Mu Qing', was assigned to hunt down a well known man from my highschool, 'Feng Xin'. I've seen his face a few times before, but I never thought of him as anything special.
"What's the point of hunting down a nobody.." I thought as I put on my boots, black sweatpants and a black tank top, then whipping a black zip up jacket around my shoulders.
I made my way to the school by foot. There are usually a bunch of loud cars and people that come by on my walk, so I didn't even notice the car stopping beside me."You're Mu Qing, am I right? Why are you walking to school? It's quite a long way from here." A man from the car side as he rolled down his front window to look at me. Once I looked, I realized it was Feng Xin, but why did he care wether I walk or bike or ride, who cares. I humphed at him and walked away, quicker this time. Just because he's my target doesn't mean I have to pretend to be his friend, I'll just wait till he is alone in the school. I suddenly felt a hand grasp onto mine and pull me inside a vehicle. "I don't need a ride, let me walk..why do you care anyway?!" I snapped at him, but didn't get a response. I glanced out the window, grumbling to myself as we sat in silence on the way to the school.
Once we reached the school I bolted out of the car and into the school, going around a few corners before stopping to catch my breath. "What a fucking weirdo!" I exclaimed as I sat down, holding my rapidly beating chest.
An hour later..
I sat in my chair, twirling a pencil around between my fingers, sighing from boredom. Just then the door to the classroom opened and..FENG XIN?! He came into the classroom with confident and strong strides. He wore an orange and black compression shirt with a jacket hanging at his elbows as he crossed his arms to look around the classroom for an empty seat.
I glanced away quickly to look out the window.
"Is this seat taken, Mu Qing?"
Before I could even respond to his deepened toned question, he sat in the seat next to me and leaned back in his chair with his hands holding the back of his head. I rolled my eyes and ignored his cocky move."Alright students, I've assigned y'all partners to work on this project on the board, please don't waste anymore time and get started." The teacher explained.
I looked at the list of groups and saw I was in a group with...xie lian? What a relief! But a group of three..of course, Feng Xin HAD to be in MY group.
I scoffed at this annoying situation and went to sit by Xie Lian, but Feng Xin pushed me out of the way to sit beside him..leaving me to sit on the other side of the desk, FINE THEN.
I sat down reluctantly and put my face on the desk, my cheek turning cold from the temperature of the desk. Smh, pathetic."Feng Xin! What a nice surprise, and you too Mu Qing'! This is wonderful! We can finally catch up!" Xie Lian happily exclaimed.
I sat silently with my eyes closed, after hearing a few more laughters from the two I fell into a deep sleep, hoping to never wake up from this wonderful nap, even though the desk is VERY uncomfortable.
I opened my eyes slowly to find the classroom empty, except for a large figure sitting beside me on his phone. I rubbed my eyes a few times and sat up tiredly, my head still hanging a little low. When I looked over it was, of course, Feng Xin. How ANNOYING are you?!
"Why'd you stay..leave me alone..you're so annoying!.." I yawned a bit and let my hair loose to get rid of the terribly painful scalp yelling at me from the tight ponytail.
"You're finally up? It's been hours, it's already time to head home." Feng Xin explained.
"WHAT?! WHY DIDNT ONE OF YOU WAKE ME UP?!" I yelled, HE IS SO..SO.. ANNOYING. TERRIBLE. I hate him!!"I told Xie Lian I would watch over you since you obviously didn't get much sleep last night," he then gently rubbed under my eyes to feel my horrible eyebags, I slapped his hand away angrily. "Don't be so angry, it's the first day and we already finished the project. Don't worry about it, I'll take you home."
"You will not take me home, I can walk." I got up and walked out of the classroom, but Feng Xin grabbed my hand aggressively, causing a bruise to quickly form. "HEY, OW?!? What the heck dude!?" I tried to rip his hand away, but his grip only tightened. "Just let me take you home, it's not a big deal. You're so loud, dramatic." He rubbed the bridge of his nose, acting as if he had a headache. "...fine, whatever. Don't expect anything in return." He finally let go and I crossed my arms, walking with him to his car as he had that stupid grin planted on his face.
