Later that night when Barry returned, Caitlin and I bagged up Farooq's body lying in the cell waiting to be placed in the pipeline. I helped Caitlin up before we both walked out of the cell toward our friends.
"We could have called him Blackout." Cisco said
"He had a name, Cisco." Wells said
Cisco shut down the pipeline,
"I'm just not sure what happened. Why didn't he just siphon all my power like before?" He asked
"Because you finally stopped thinking about your powers and just connected with them." I said
"Look, this is a sample of your blood from just after you were struck by the lightning. Now your cells are generating more energy than ever before. It was more energy than the meta could safely handle. It's almost like he choked on you." Caitlin explained
"But what does that mean?" Cisco asked
"I think it means you kicked it up a notch." Wells said
I turned away, walking away with Caitlin and Cisco, smiling at the two of them.
"We just almost died." Cisco said
"I know." I said
"You saved Wells." Caitlin said
"I know." I repeated

The next morning I walked in to see Barry already here, slightly sweaty. I stood, amazed.
"Is it the opposite day?" I asked
"No, why?" He asked
"You are here, early." I said
"I know, Wells said the same thing, it's weird to me too." Barry replied
I looked at my feet.
"I went and saw Iris last night, as the Flash." He said
"You are something else, Barry Allen." I whispered
"Adaline..." He said
"Barry, I'm telling you this because I care. You need to stop seeing Iris in secret because sooner or later it's going to bite you in the ass." I said
"I know I shouldn't." He said
"Then stop." I projected
He looked back at me.
"Let's just get back to testing." I said walking toward the controls
I looked through the window of the treadmill room watching Barry start to run before becoming the flash.
