The next day when Serina woke up, she was no longer in Mako's arms. Mako wasn't even in her room which confused her. She saw that the storm had completely stopped the candles were all but gone. Serina got up before she changed her clothes, as she left her room to the kitchen she saw that Mako was talking with Neyo at the table. Both males smiled seeing her up and about.

"Hey there sis, sleep okay?" Neyo asked

She nodded her head. "Mhm, I did. Mako comforted me last night."

+

"I know, he told me. So are you two good now?" Neyo asked

+

"Mhm, for the most part. There are still some unknown things going on between us but that's a talk for a different time."

+

"Enough said there sis. Oh, and we haven't gotten power back yet. Father had to leave out just to figure out what was going on since he's an electrician and all that."

"Gotcha. Is ma still asleep or is she working too?"

+

"She's asleep still, unlike the brat who woke my ass up. She apparently didn't like knowing that Mako had ended up falling asleep beside you instead of on the couch."

Serina raised an eyebrow at Neyo. "Why would she be pissy knowing that my best friend comforted me instead of being on the couch?"

+

"She a hoe what do you think?" Neyo said unamused

+

Serina was silent for a moment before she turned on her heel and went to go knock sense into her elder twin sister. Mako was confused on what was going on and followed after Serina quietly, he stayed outside of Sebrina and Neyo's room as he heard Serina yelling at Sebrina.

"Sebrina what the fuck is your problem waking up Neyo for?!"

" I figured that Mako would be sleeping on the couch and not in your room. When I saw that he was in your room I knew he'd never be mine."

"You never liked him in the first place! You made him hate me for years because of your lies!"

+

"Well of course I did that, I wanted to make you so damn miserable that you kill yourself. I honestly can't believe you even have a crush on that lame ass. He has shit social skills and let's not even talk about how ugly he is. Tahno is ten times better."

Mako heard a loud slap before Serina spoke once more "You bitch! Mako is fine just the way he is! He doesn't have shit social skills he just doesn't know how to talk to women properly. Especially women he feels a special connection to. And he isn't ugly! He's very handsome just the way he is! Tahno on the other hand. He's a manhoe. He's an ugly fuck that got hit on the face with a frying pan a bit too many times. The fact that you kept tapping that is disgusting. Stay the hell away from my bestie!"

"You really have a girl boner for him don't you? Does he know about your little crush on him?"

It was quiet which made Mako realize that Neyo wasn't fucking around with him the previous night when he said that Serina had a crush on him. Hearing the two of them argue it made everything made since.

"No...no he doesn't and I don't think he'll ever care about me the same way that I care about him. Even after all of the mess ups he's done. I still care and love him. But I won't say anything to him about it until I can see my best friend back in him once more."

"So you're just gonna be a pussy about it. Tch, typical. Y'know I can't wait until Mako invites me instead of you to his birthday party this year. I'll wave it in your face too once I get it."

"T-That's not gonna happen. Last night Mako gave me an invite after he and I talked about things. H...He wants me to be there instead of you."

"WHAT?! That asshole!"

"He was my friend first anyways, I am the one that cares and loves him-not you so you can fuck off Sebrina. You even think about getting close to my friend and we'll have a problem. I have so much black mail on you and I'm not afraid to release it for everyone to see."

"You wouldn't dare do that to me!"

"I dare, after all the shit you did to me it's about time you get Karma."

Mako soon saw the door open and Serina there stunned. "Oh...Heya Mako, what's up?"

"I need to talk to you, mind if we talk for a moment?"Mako asked curiously

+

"Oh? Yeah sure thing. We can talk in my room Mako." Serina said with a smile

+

The two of them went to her room where she motioned for him to sit on the side of her bed with her. He sat down beside her as he had his hands together. "Last night...I didn't say everything I wanted to say to you Serina."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Really?"

+

"Yeah really, I...I wanted to tell you how I really felt about you and I never got the chance to tell you that."

+

She turned herself to look at him as she tilted her head to the side. "Okay so?"

+

Mako adjusted himself so he was looking straight at her. "Serina, I first need to ask you this question...what do you think is the reason why you and I became friends all those years ago?"

"You saw I was lonely and didn't want me to be alone? I've always been an introvert and don't have friends other than you and Bo." Serina stated in question

He let out a sigh and shook his head. "That's not it at all, it's a little bit deeper than that on the reason why Serina."

+

Serina blinked her green eyes a few times confused. "O...okay? Mind elaborating for me please?"

Mako placed a hand on the side of her face softly before he pressed his forehead against hers. "Serina, even back then I saw you as a rather beautiful woman. You've always been so attractive, it's why at first I wanted to be your friend. I wanted to be sure that no one else would be able to have your heart. I said what I had before because I was heart broken over the lies that Sebrina said-knowing now that they are nothing more than lies...the feelings I felt for you, they are still very much there."

Serina looked at him flustered as she heard him speak, she softly placed her hand over his. "Y...You think that I'm a-attractive Mako?"

"Of course I do. One of the things your brother mentioned to me last night was that you had a crush on me previously to what had happened between Sebrina, you and I. Tell me is it still there?"
