"Call it a punishment for making me worry to no end. Do you know how troublesome you are?"

---

Only the calming sea waves can be heard between the two in a few minutes.

The sound of the sea was relaxing but for Kiko, she was agitated as she stood beside Fujio.

She doesn't know how to begin the monologue she had built in her mind. The girl looked down on her feet, her fingers tapping on the side of her leg.

Fujio glanced at her, waiting for what she had to say. He knew she needed to speak first and he's patiently waiting for that.

This was the first time he was seeing her getting so nervous over an argument. She knew she was wrong and that's why she was having difficulty apologizing.

"Fujio..."

The said male turned to her as she looked up to meet his gaze. Fujio can see her biting the bottom of her lip to stop it from trembling, her hands clasping tightly and her brown eyes glowing in the afternoon sun.

"I'm..." she let out a sigh before continuing, "I know I did wrong."

She carefully scans his expression. There was nothing. He was just waiting for her, knowing that she wasn't finished yet.

"I didn't think for myself and even for my sister, Nozomi."

"I was wrong and I'm sorry... for worrying you," Kiko finally said and looked at the male like she was a kicked puppy.

Fujio finally gave in, letting out a sigh and running his hand through his hair.

"At least you know why I was frustrated. And, I'm sorry for shouting at you," he said, smiling softly at the girl.

Kiko nodded, smiling back, "However, I don't regret helping that girl and I'm not going to apologize for that. I couldn't ignore her like everyone else."

The male grinned, chuckling, "Of course, you didn't. That's one of the reasons why I like you."

She widened her eyes in shock, blushing, "What?"

"You have such a caring personality, Kiko," Fujio told her. He approached her, standing a few centimeters away with each other.

"R-Really?" she stuttered, avoiding his gaze.

He inched closer on her face, smirking as he saw how flustered the girl was.

"Yeah," he whispered and put his finger on her chin to make her look at him.

Kiko bit the bottom of her lip, her heart beating faster, and her stomach was flipping in a good way.

If it was any other guy, they would've had a broken nose from her. However, this was Fujio, her boyfriend.

Now that she thought of that word, it made her face heat up.

"Fujio, why are you teasing me?" she complained.

"Call it a punishment for making me worry to no end. Do you know how troublesome you are?"

"As if you weren't like that," Kiko scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Hey, I have reasons and I don't do it alone now. I asked people for help," Fujio defended.

The girl scowled, "Just kiss me already."

He widened his eyes in shock, "What?"

"Your face is so close," Kiko whispered, smirking, "Why don't you just kiss me already, you wuss?"

Fujio rolled his eyes, his free hand pulled her by the waist. He closed their gap, crashing his lips to hers.

Kiko immediately responded as she wrapped her arms on his shoulders and moved her lips to his.

It was just a few seconds and yet, the two deepened their feelings for each other.

They pulled away, looking at each other with a smile.

"Thank you," Kiko said, smiling. She put a hand on his face, brushing her thumb on his cheek, "Not just for saving me earlier but for everything."

"Everything?" Fujio put his hands on her hips, smirking at her.

Kiko nodded, "I love you."

She squealed as the male suddenly enveloped her in a hug. Her feet were dangling on the sand as he pulled her up a bit.

"Fujio?"

She wrapped her arms around his neck as the male put her down and pulled away, looking her in the eyes.

"I love you, too," he said. His smile was reflecting his adornment towards her.

Kiko never saw him smile like that.

No one did. It was only for her.

She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Guess you fell for me, huh?" she teased.

"You mean, you fell for me?" Fujio retorted.

"Oh, just admit that you fell for me first because of my gorgeous looks," Kiko said, flipping her hair.

The male laughed, shaking his head in amusement, "Sure, whatever you say."

The couple looked at each other and then laughed.

Their first argument as a couple was settled in a way that they even said they love each other.

Who would've thought, huh?

"So, you were friends with her?" Nozomi asked Nao. They sat down on the rented gazebo of Oya guys with Tsukasa, Madoka, Kazuto, Yasushi, Kiko, and Fujio.

"Yeah, childhood friends. She moved away years ago," Nao replied. She just got there at the beach with Ichinose Haruka an hour ago.

Haruka was the girl Yuken was talking about. They were surprised to know that Nao was her childhood friend.

"Looks like our brother likes her so much," Kiko said, glancing at Yuken and Haruka who were walking in the distance. They were smiling and laughing like an actual couple.

"Yeah..." Nozomi muttered.

"I didn't expect I would see him like that," Tsukasa commented, smirking.
