~Prologue~

Author Pov:

"I don't get it! How could he have escaped?!" The officer threw the newspaper on the desk in front of his partner, who seemed unfazed by the rant as he smoked a cigarette. "First Bob, and now..him?! I mean, this guy is a HUGE deal!" The other officer sighed, tiredly. "Calm your horses. We won't get anywhere with complaining." He puffed out his cigarette.

"The situation at hand is getting more complicated, not to mention our jobs are on the line." The calmer officer continued as he stood up from his chair and eyed the picture of a unknown person in an red robe. "There's no doubt about it, that guy has a connection with the cult. And we don't even know where he originally came from." The other officer pondered. "It's as if he just kind of..appeared out of nowhere."

Another sigh. The taller officer looked down in concern. "So what do we do now, John? Do we go after Bob or..both..?" John let out another puff of air. "We need him first, that manipulative bastard is already on his 9th kill." "And Bob?" John sighed. "If anyone finds any trace of him, we'll be updated." He threw out his cigar and started walking to the door. The other officer, following behind him.

"So we don't have ANY information on the other guy..what was his name again.." "Dave. A master of misdirection. He's able to make himself look like a innocent citizen, his tactic that we only know of is that he uses manipulation to lead people into believing he's on their side. Then just betrays them. A real backstabber. He's around here somewhere. Can't be too far, probably finding a way to slaughter more people Jack."

John crumpled the news paper of the killer, and threw onto the ground, stepping on it.

"Next thing we need is for them to find each other and work together."
