Moonwatcher Pov.

Moonwatcher gulped as she looked at the ice fairy.

Of course, it's a night elf who bumps into me.

The fairy hissed, cold snowflakes blowing all around the air.

He floated above Moon, his icicle blue wings beating air into Moon's face as he glared at her.

She looks interesting... Focus Winter, you shouldn't be distracted by a lowly backstabbing night elf!

"Do you mind?" He growled.

Moon gulped. "I... I'm sorry." She whispered.

The ice fairy glared at her again.

"My aunt is a part of the Fairy Council. I am practically royalty." He proclaimed proudly.

"I could have you expelled from this school, or worse!"

" Chill, Winter!"

Something that felt like a warm breeze entered her mind.

Despite everything happening Moon began to relaxed.

" You are so rude. Can't you just apologize to the poor girl?"

Moon turned her head to see a desert fairy walking toward them.

But something wasn't right.

He had the necessary features of a fairy, slender build, large eyes, and slightly pointy ears.

But he had no wings.

A wingless... Moon realized.

A wingless fairy.
Known to have committed a terrible sin that the other fairies had to cut off the wings.

Why is he helping me?

"Come on Winter, usually it's common sense to not pick fights." The fairy joked.

Winter growled.

"What are you doing here wingless?

Well, that nickname is old.

Moon looked at the desert fairy, expecting him to be offended, but the fairy simply smiled at Winter.

"Why, being the bestest best friend for my new BFF!" He batted his eyelashes at Winter.

Winter scoffed.

"Best friend, huh? What a bunch of rubbish!"

As Moon watched the banter between the two fairies, she caught the eyes of the desert fairy.

He mouthed run to her.

Moon hastily gathered her pamphlets and stood up.
She slipped away into the crowd,.

Qibli's pov.

Qibli was just minding his own business, talking to few desert fairies that he knew when he heard the commotion happening down the hallway.

He slipped behind bodies and into the crowd until he stood at the very front.

He mentally face palmed at the sight.

His very judgmental, cold roomie, floating over a poor night elf.

Well, he really should help her.

"Chill, Winter!"

He walked toward the pair.

Winter, seriously? What a jerk for picking on a poor girl.

Start off with a joke first. Difuse the tension in the air.

"Come on Winter, usually it's common sense to not pick fights."

Winter growled at him.

Good, his attention is diverted to me.

Winter and Qibli bantered for a while, Qibli constantly checking Winter and the crowds attention.

When he was sure the crowd's attention was focused on Winter and him, he caught the girl's eyes and mouthed run.

The girl blinked and hastily gathered her stuff and slipped away into the crowd.

Winter noticed the girl's absence quickly.

" Hey, where did she... QIBLI!" He screamed.

Qibli backed away, chuckling nervously.

"What?" He protested.

" You helped her run away!"

"I didn't!"

"I am practically royalty, sand snorter. I don't have time to waste for a sin-commiting back stabber like you."

Qibli sighed mentally.

Great, a lecture about how Ice Fairies are the purest of them all.

Well...

He glanced at the way the girl disappeared.

At least that girl is okay...
No way to escape easily, just grin and bear it, Qibli.
