As the morning sun rose, the Rainbow Friends were fast asleep in Blue's castle. Unbeknownst to the group, a small blue orb entered the castle; they opened their big, beady eyes and looked around.
Soon after, the blue creature spotted the group lying on the ground. The blue creature chirped before rolling toward them. When the blue creature looked at the group, they spotted Ruby; they got close to her head and sniffed her.
The blue creature was happy before getting on Ruby's chest and letting out soft purrs. Ruby winced a bit before opening her eyes. Ruby looked down and saw the blue creature, surprising her, "Uh... hello, little one..." she whispered.
Ruby held her hand out to the small creature, making them look at it; they lay on her hand and purred. Ruby smiled a bit as she petted the blue creature. Blue slowly opened his right eye and yawned; he looked at the group and noticed the blue creature on Ruby's chest.
Blue was surprised and stood up; Ruby glanced at him, "Good morning, Blue." she whispered, "I guess this little creature came into your castle while we were asleep."
Blue nodded, "It's a Looky; Red is usually the one taking care of these little guys." he whispered, "I guess this one escaped without him realizing it." Blue walked toward Ruby, "I'll take them back to Red." he continued before reaching for the Looky.
The Looky looked at Blue's hand before hopping away, shocking the duo. The Looky hit Orange, making him yelp. When Blue was close, the Looky rolled on Green, waking him up. Green sat up as the Looky landed next to Purple, "What's going on?" he asked.
Orange got up and glared at the Looky, "That damn Looky woke me up from my nap." he said before leaping toward it. The Looky hopped away before Orange landed, hitting Purple in the process.
The Looky landed on Cyan, waking her up. When Cyan sat up, the Looky rolled down and landed on Yellow, waking him up. When Blue reached for the Looky, they hopped away, making him grab Yellow instead, "Whoops, sorry." he said before placing him down.
When Ruby sat up, the Looky hopped in her arms and snuggled against her. Purple looked at the Looky as they purred, "I don't think I've seen a Looky get so close to a new Rainbow Friend before..." they said lowly.
Cyan nodded, "Yeah... it took a while for these little guys to get used to me." she said. Yellow looked at Cyan, "That's because you wanted to play with them, and in their eyes, it's like a dinosaur charging toward them." he said.
Cyan pouted a bit and turned away, "It's not my fault they look playful." she said. Ruby stood up with the Looky in her arms, "Isn't Red worried that this little guy escaped?" she asked.
Orange crossed his arms, "There's too many of these little shits that even he probably didn't realize it ran away." he said. Ruby looked at Orange, surprised, "Wait, there's more than one Looky?" she asked.
Green nodded, "At first, there was one larger Looky, but then they kept multiplying." he said. Ruby nodded, "I see..." she said before walking toward the door, "Well, I say let's get them back to Red as soon as possible." The others nodded as they followed Ruby.

At the plaza, Red stood before a stall filled with a variety of Lookies and writing on his clipboard. Red sighed, "This is not good; what to do?" he asked himself.
"Red!" Red turned to the back and saw the Rainbow Friends. Ruby held out the blue Looky, "This little guy somehow escaped and wound up at Blue's castle." she said.
Red hummed before walking toward Ruby and grabbing the Looky, making her let go, "Thank you for finding this one." he said before walking toward the stall. Ruby looked at the stall as Red placed the Looky in it, "Wow... there's so much variety in these Lookies." she said.
Red looked at Ruby, "Ah yes, this is your first time meeting the Lookies." he said before looking at the Lookies, "Besides being a nuisance to others, they're harmless creatures." The other Rainbow Friends looked at the Lookies, "They look a bit smaller than before." Yellow said.
Red sighed, "Unfortunately, they're not eating their food and keep decreasing in mass." he said, "I'm trying to figure out what the issue is." As Ruby looked to the right, she spotted a cake on the counter, "Is that what you're feeding the Lookies?" she asked.
Red looked at the cake, "Yes, this is what the Lookies usually eat." he said, "However, they've been avoiding it for some reason." Orange drooled a bit, "Those guys are definitely missing out; any cake is super delicious." he said before charging toward it.
Green wrapped his arm around Orange and pulled him away, "Not for you, moron." he said. Ruby tilted her head, "Mind if I examine it?" she asked. Red glanced at Ruby before looking at the cake, "I suppose I'll allow it." he said.
Ruby bowed her head before walking toward the cake; she examined it and sniffed it. Orange was annoyed, "No fair; why does she get close to it while I can't!" he shouted. Blue deadpanned Orange, "Do you really want to know?" he rhetorically asked.
Ruby stopped sniffing and looked at the cake, "This cake is underbaked." she said. Red looked at Ruby, "Is that so?" he asked, "What makes you say that?"
Ruby pointed to the middle, "Well, for starters, the middle of the cake is sinking in; that's a dead giveaway that the cake is not done." she said, "And it gives off a doughy scent."
Red hummed, "Interesting... have you had experience with this before?" he asked. Ruby nodded, "My Dad owns a bakery that I used to work under; he showed me how to make a lot of baked goods, cake included." she said.
Red nodded, "Then I have a task for you." he said, making Ruby look at him, "I would like you to guide me through remaking this cake." Ruby looked at Red, surprised, "Seriously?" she asked. Red nodded, "I'd be most grateful if you helped me." he said.
Ruby stared at Red before nodding, "Alright, I'll help." she said. Red walked forward, "Excellent; let us begin then." he said, "Follow me." As Red and Ruby walked forward, he glanced at the back, "The rest of you keep an eye on the Lookies." he continued.
Orange looked at Red, "Can I eat the raw cake if the Lookies aren't gonna have it?" he asked. Red glanced at Orange, "I highly wouldn't recommend it, but if you know of the consequences, you can have it." he said before they left.
Orange was happy before looking at Green, "You heard the man, Green; put me down." he said. Green sighed, "Alright..." he said before letting Orange go, "Be prepared for an upset stomach."
Orange charged toward the cake and jumped; as he chowed on the cake, the others looked at the Lookies, "I guess we'll have to wait until they get back..." Purple said lowly. Blue nodded, "For now, we've got these little guys to worry about." he said; the others nodded in agreement.

As time passed, most of the Rainbow Friends watched the Lookies. Orange was lying on the ground and burped, "How long are those two going to take?" he asked. Yellow looked at Orange as a yellow Looky chirped, "Baking takes a lot of time; have some patience." he said.
As Cyan looked at the green Looky rolling on the ground, she sensed something, which made her look at the opening, "Sounds like they're coming back." she said.
As the others looked at the opening, they spotted Red holding a cake in his hands and Ruby holding a covered basket in her arms. Purple looked at the duo, "How did the baking go?" they asked.
Red looked at Ruby, "Thanks to Ruby's instructions, I was able to fix my mistakes." he said before looking at the stall, "Now to feed them." Red stepped inside the stall and placed the cake in the center, "Eat up, Lookies." he continued before stepping out of the stall.
The Lookies rolled toward the cake and sniffed it; soon after, they quickly chowed down. Red wrote on his clipboard, "Excellent, the Lookies are finally eating, and in due time, their mass will increase." he said.
Red walked toward Ruby and petted her head, surprising her, "Thank you for your assistance, Ruby." he continued. Ruby smiled a bit, "It was my pleasure." she said. Red looked at Ruby's fur and hummed, "It's a lot softer than I expected..." he said lowly.
Ruby glanced at Red, "Did you say something?" she asked. Red pulled his hand, "Nothing of concern." he said. Unbeknownst to the group, Blue stared at Red, Damn it; besides Orange, I haven't felt Ruby's fur. he thought, I need an excuse to have a feel.
Unbeknownst to the Rainbow Friends, something eyed the Lookies, "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" a woman wearing a zookeeper outfit asked. A man wearing a zookeeper outfit nodded, "I see them, Jules; those little creatures are something I've never seen before." he said.
Jules looked at the man, "What are we gonna do, Bradley?" she asked. Bradley looked at the Lookies with a grin, "We're going to have ourselves a little... extraction to help our zoo problems." he said.
Orange sighed, "Those little guys get the luxury while we get the boring crap." he said. Cyan deadpanned Orange, "Seriously? You had cake while they were baking a new one." she said.
Orange looked at Cyan, "You don't understand how much energy this body of mine uses up, so I suggest keeping your mouth shut." he said. Cyan got angry and stood up, "Wanna say that again?" she asked.
Orange grinned and stood up, "Gladly... keep your mouth shut." he said. Cyan roared and charged toward Orange; some panicked, "Shouldn't we stop them?" Green asked.
Yellow glanced at Green, "Do you really want to get your arms torn off by Cyan's mouth in this state?" he asked. Purple sweatdropped, "I'd rather not..." they said lowly.
Unbeknownst to the group, a croissant landed in Cyan's mouth, surprising her and making her stop. The group looked at Cyan, surprised, "She suddenly stopped." Blue said.
Cyan ate the croissant and was amazed, "That's really tasty." she said. Orange was dumbfounded, "No fair; I want a croissant." he said. Ruby smiled and tapped Orange's shoulder, making him look at her.
Ruby pulled the basket's cover, revealing a variety of baked goods, "I made these goodies myself; a little something for all of us to share." she said before grabbing a croissant and giving it to Orange, "This one is for you."
Orange looked at the croissant before eating it; he was amazed, "That's so delicious." he said. Orange leaped toward Ruby and hugged her, "You're like the saint we've been needing." he said, "Not only fluffy but an awesome baker."
Blue was annoyed, "Oh, come on!" he shouted. The group looked at Blue, surprised, "Is something wrong, Blue?" Yellow asked. Blue slightly blushed and looked away, "I, uh... it's nothing..." he said lowly.
Ruby tilted her head, I've never seen something like that when he was Ben... is it jealousy? she thought. Cyan looked at the pastries, "Think we can chow down on those pastries?" she asked.
Ruby nodded as she grabbed Orange and placed him on the ground, "Yeah, these are meant for us." she said before grabbing the basket. As Ruby handed the others pastries, she grabbed a blueberry muffin and walked toward Blue, "Here's your pastry, Blue." she said.
Blue looked at the blueberry muffin, "Thanks..." he said before grabbing it and eating it. Blue looked at the muffin, surprised, "Wow, that is really good." he continued before looking at Ruby, "You were taught to make these?"
Ruby nodded, "My father taught me all of my family's recipes whenever I owned the business." she said, "However, under these circumstances... I won't be owning anything for a long time."
Blue nodded as he ate his blueberry muffin and glanced at Ruby's fur, I need to find that way soon. he thought.
