"What are you doing here and why do you keep following me?" I asked as I walked in front of him.It was Elvis, or whatever his real name was.
"I-I am sorry" he stuttered and wanted to get away but I quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
I got stronger over the past few months, thanks to Zayden and it was very helpful in situations like this.
"Tell me why you're following me"
He looked at me, he was hesitant but then he sighed. "Because I owe it to your dad"
"My dad? You knew my dad?"
He nodded. "He was one of my best friends before I moved to Vegas, I recognized your name immediately" he looked at me. "Rae Delvey"
"And you let me marry Lando anyway? You saw how drunk I was"
But I had to admit that I was thankful for that because Lando turned out to be the best part of my life.
"I also saw how much of a connection you guys had and I was right, wasn't I? You're still married to him and stronger than ever"
He stalked me quite a bit.
I chuckled. "Yes we are"
"I told your dad you were married" he admitted and looked down. "He-he knew?" I stuttered. I always thought he never knew.
"He did and he was very proud of you, Rae" he looked up with a smile.
I bit my lip and shrugged my shoulders. I doubted that, he never was proud of anyone.
It was never good enough, I was never good enough.Fair enough, he trusted that I could take care of the hotels, but I don't think he was ever proud of me.
But I was sure he would tell other people he was proud, just to look as if he was a good dad.
"Anyways, I have to impress some important people" I smiled a little before turning my back to him and walked to my hotel.
I didn't even know his name. "Wait-" I said as I turned around but he was already gone.
What a weird guy. He said he wanted to protect me, he owed that to my dad but I didn't need protection from some Elvis guy.
I had Lando and recently Zayden in my corner.

"So far our revenues, as you can see we made a great profit over the past few months" I said as I was standing in front of the big screen that showed the revenues of each and every hotel.
"Except the Monaco Hotel" that annoying guy interrupted me again. "Except the Monaco Hotel obviously because it got burned down" I answered.
"Months ago" he pointed out. "And it's still not making profit"
"We noticed that too, so that's my next point, if I may continue?"
I knew it was pretty passive-aggressive, but he didn't really care. He just smirked and nodded. "Of course Ms. Delvey"
"Next point, our goals and targets" I said as I pointed at the screen. "Obviously, like Mr. Le Roy mentioned already, the Monaco hotel is leaking money"
I switched to the next slide. "So why is it leaking money because it's fully booked 90% of the time.." I said and looked at them.
They had to come up with solutions as well, this wasn't only my responsibility.
"Does anyone have an idea?" I showed the slide with all the different numbers of the Hilton Hotel. The items where we lost money but also where we gained money.
The room was silent, but I knew one person in this room definitely knew why.
C'mon Juliette.
"Anyone?" I looked around.
"Because we don't give an experience in that hotel" she said in a whisper.
"Can you elaborate?" I asked, looking at her.
She shrugged her shoulders, looking at all the fancy suits in the room. She was intimidated by them.
I nodded at her, hoping she would see that she was absolutely correct.
"In all the other hotels, we give an experience: a pool, a gaming room, a cinema, a themed restaurant" she summed up. "We don't have that in Monaco, we're just giving them a room, if we give them an experience, we can ask more money"
I smiled and nodded. "Great idea"
The fancy suits agreed, even Le Roy nodded his head.
"You'll be in charge of that" I said before continuing to the next slide. I saw the confusion on her face.
Yes Juliette, I was promoting you in front of the entire board.
I continued the meeting like nothing happened and it seemed that they all forgot about the Mclaren contract.
Good because I definitely wasn't gonna drop them.
"Good job, you impressed me, Ms. Delvey" he patted my back with a smirk. "Thank you, Mr. Le Roy" I smiled.
He turned to Juliette. "And so did you" he nodded at her before leaving.
She turned to me and tilted her head. "Did you mean what you said?"
"Of course, you deserve it and you'll do great"
She deserved more than organize my calendar, she was capable of much more.
"I am gonna call Zayden" she hugged me and grabbed her phone.
I smiled as I closed my laptop. I couldn't wait to go back to Lando and have a quiet evening with him.
