Chapter 1: Caspian

It's been a week since Seriea last texted, and she hasn't texted me back yet.
My friend Casper and I are walking down the street, "Why are you silent" he asked. "Nothing just, I guess, I texted her today for the last time." He stopped and looked at me "Just move on bro, What can we do if she doesn't want to be in your life".

"I know, but I have loved her for four years," I sighed. "So, what do you want?" he asked. "Distraction from her," I said.

He took out his phone from his pocket and typed something in it. Again, we started to walk. Suddenly my phone started getting a lot of messages. I took my phone out of my pocket, It was a group on Instagram, and I started checking who added me to this group. "I have added you to this group," Casper said. I started ghosting conversations in the group.

"Try to talk to them, they are good people, it will help you to get distracted from her," he said. "Ok, I will try," I said. I muted the group and put my phone in my pocket. But again my phone got a message. I took out the phone, someone mentioned me in the group, I checked the message.

Evelyn: Guys Caspian is ghosting us!!
I smiled and sent the text
Caspian: No, I am just new in the group.
Evelyn: Thank you for breaking the never-ending realm of ghosting us.
Caspian: Welcome.

I started smiling again. "Oh, so the first conversation, and you are starting to smile," Casper said teasingly. "Nothing" I mumbled.
Again, I started to ghost them. I started stalking all the group members Id. They all are good writers, they've posted many poems.

"Where did you find this group?" I asked him. "Just an online friend added me here," he said.

I was lying on my bed. Yesterday I joined this group and just right now sent a 'hello' and introduced myself to all the members.
I checked my phone, the group was active.
Caspian: Hello, how are you guys?
Evelyn: Hey, nothing just living a life
Caelestis: Hey, when did you join this group?
Caspian: Yesterday, Casper added me.
Esmeray: Hey.
Caelestis: Esmeray you are beautiful
Willow: Can anyone share me a Spotify playlist?
Esmeray: @Caelestis I know that
Caspian: @Willow I will share one with you tomorrow.

They all started talking randomly, Caelestis was flirting with Esmeray. Then all the members decided to make Esmeray and Caelestis the first couple of the group. I started laughing. I texted

Caspian: What the hell is this? You are getting married.
Caelestis: I am ready.
Esmeray: Me too
I started laughing, it was for the first time that I was laughing at this bullshit. I texted again
Caspian : Are you ready for the wedding? Say yes again.
(I texted as if I was the father saying this in the church.)
Caelestis: Yes
Esmera: Yes
Evelyn: A new couple of GC, congratulations
Caspian: What is a GC?
Evelyn: Group chat.
Caspian: Ohhk.

So I learned the new word GC. But now I needed to go to my Jee's class. So, I started to pack my bag. I have a bus to class in 10 minutes. "I am too late" I mumbled.

I ran out of the door, waiting for the lift, "I am too late" I mumbled again and again. I ran fast for the bus, Thank God the bus did not leave, I took a seat and checked my phone.

I realized I was supposed to make a playlist for Willow. I told her that I already have a playlist but I don't have one.

I started adding songs to my new playlist, I added my favorite songs 'Irradey', 'Majak', 'Melt', and many others. The bus stopped, and I realized my stop had came.

My class was over now, I checked my phone, and still, the GC was active. I sent the playlist on GC and tagged her.

Caspian: @Willow this is my playlist on Spotify.
Ithil: She is not active rn.
Caspian: Ohh.

I start thinking what if she doesn't like my playlist? But why I am thinking of her? I am an overthinker, one thought and it will make its own multiverse in my mind.

I again went to check the members list and one by one started to follow them. I started ghosting the chats again.

Evelyn: Ok, I am going to sing a song
Caspian: Please sing Baarishein by Anuv Jain
Evelyn sent a voice note of a song sung by her. I liked her voice.
Caspian: you are a good singer.
Willow: Hello everyone.
Caspian: Hey, I shared my playlist.
Willow: I will check it.
Caspian: I made, a new playlist just for you.

I just flirted with her, this was my first time flirting with someone online. I've never flirted with any girl like this. No, this is wad flirting.
Willow: Thanks, I will check it.
Caelestis: Oh, Caspian is simping over Willow.
Willow: Yeah, I liked it.
Caspian: Hey beautiful, I checked your posts you are cute.

(I don't know, why I am flirting with her.)

Suddenly I remembered what things had happened between me and Seriea. I deleted my text. I tried to forget this thought.

Willow: Why did you delete that text?
Caspian: Someone just said that I am simping over you.
Willow: But I like it.
I smiled, then again texted.
Caspian: Your name is unique.
Willow: I don't like it.
Esmeray: So everyone I am starting my new business
Esmeray: The second couple of our GC are Willow and Caspian.
Caspian: Ohk, will you marry me, Willow?

Now I am also the part of this bullshit. But I am happy because of this group. This is helping to distract from the Seriea. I am trying to convince myself to forget her, but still, it hurts me. I never thought that she will never text me again.

I checked the GC again.

Willow: I agree, but if you will never call me a B.M.W like Caelestis called Esmeray.
Caspian: When did he call her that?
Willow: In the afternoon.
Caspian: Okay, I will never call you that.
Willow: Yes.

I was laughing on the bus, everyone started to stare at me. It was embarrassing. I controlled myself and looked at my phone.

Esmeray: So, my new business is successful now.
Caspian: Bye, I will talk later.

I opened Snapchat and opened her saved snaps. I started staring at Seriea's pictures.....
