Life had a funny way of letting you think you're off the hook. One moment its all smiles, laughter, and cherry blossoms, and the next moment you're in a swirling light vortex. At least that's how it was for Tanjiro Kamado.

It had been 3 months after the final battle and everything was pretty calm. The world had become one without evil and it was pretty sweet. A few minutes before the next biggest crisis, Tanjiro had been talking with Kanao under a cherry blossom tree.

"It's a cherry blossom tree planted by the first swordsman of the breath of flowers. It's name is certain victory." Kanao said

"That's wonderful!" Tanjiro replied

"The wind pillar also showed up earlier."

"Really?! I couldn't say hello."

"He should still be here. He gave the snake pillar's friend, Kaburamaru kun, to me. He's really smart!" Kanao smiled.

Tanjiro was about to say something else when the ground started to shake violently. The shaking got stronger and stronger until the two had trouble standing

"Whats happening?!" Tanjiro tried to say but the the ground rumbled and split open with a deafening shriek.

A large whirlpool opened up under Tanjiro's feet. His eyes widened in confusion and shock. It nearly pulled him inside, before he jumped out of the way.

"KANAO! WATCH OUT!!!" He pushed her out of the way, as the vortex expanded, seeming to grow bigger and bigger by the second.

But in his panic, he tripped on a fallen tree branch and fell into a world of blue light.

Tanjiro saw Kanao scream but he couldn't hear anything. There was a different voice in his head. Tanjiro must have imagined it because he has never heard anything like it.

"Goodbye Tanjiro Kamado, and may you never return to this world again."

And with that, the whirlpool closed up and swallowed him whole.

Modern Day Era:

Sumihiko's POV:

"SUMIHIKO KAMADO!!!!"

I woke up from my daydream where the school was on fire.

"KIBUTSUSHIII!!!!!" I yelled in fear.

I have no idea where that came from and random things like that have been popping out of my mouth ever since I learned how to speak.

Anyway, I had managed to do a perfect impression of a screaming chicken on fire.

The class had a good laugh at my expense as I sheepishly sat back down.

"You've got to start paying attention Kamado, I just don't know what to do with you." The teacher sighed.

"You've got detention. Stay after class for a while."

I groaned inwardly and put my head down on the desk, covering it with my arms.

It was a pretty normal day like every other day of the year. I'll give you a run down of how every normal day goes:

1.  I wake and jump out of my window every time I'm late. (My brother doesn't wake me up on time, not my fault I'm late.)

2. Run like the sky is falling so I get to school on time.

3. Outrun the police officers while talking to my best friend, Toujurou.

4. Endure 6 hours of torture in school. (Sometimes 8 hours if I get detention)

5. Go home and sleep until dinner is ready and go back to sleep afterwards.

6. Repeat

The bell rang and everyone got out of their seats and headed for the door. I wistfully watched everyone leave and frowned as I stayed back. It was going to be a long day.

As soon as detention was over I jumped out of my seat and ran away as fast as possible and I didn't stop as soon as I was outside the gates.

I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking I was in the clear. But I spoke too soon.

"Hey you there! Stop right where you are!!"

I turned around and to my dismay, I saw the same police officers who had chased me down this morning. Oh crap, these guys were bad news.

I was on the run once again. It was a miracle that I hadn't been caught yet. I zig zagged my way through the crowded streets of Tokyo and I collided into someone head on. Whoever it was, they had an even harder head than me!

I groaned in pain and gingerly touched my forehead which started to bleed. I muttered a few apologies to the person and helped him up. I was about start running again when I got a good look at the person's face.
