I told her all about the other woman. She said nothing. But she didn't have to. Her cold stare said it all. I stared back into her eyes for a moment before deciding to break the ice.
"Look, things happen. I can't help it. I didn't plan it to be this way. It just happened."
"Well, you do realize this means it's over for us, don't you?"
"Yes, of course. But answer one question for me."
"What?"
"Why aren't you more upset?"
"Because I used to love her too. And I know what a bitch she can be. Good luck!"
