34} Same Place New Monsters

Yelena- "Let's go." She says, waiting in the jet with everyone. She is confused as to why they are just waiting around in the jet that's placed in its spot on the compound tarmac.
Steve- "We're waiting for someone."

          "I'm here." A man's voice comes from the back of the jet, and everyone turns to see Tony. "We may go now."
That is not the someone Steve is expecting. Steve's eyebrows go to his hairline.
Nat- "Pepper is letting you come?" Her mouth lifts in a half smile.

Tony stands before her with an offensive look.
Tony- "She doesn't tell me what to do." Then he rolls his eyes, saying, "But yes, I got her permission."

Yelena- "Cool, now can we go?"
Steve- "We still got one more." He says right as he sees her walk on bored.

Wanda- "Sorry I'm late." She says, stepping up to the group.
  Yelena- "Yes!" She claps her hands. "Let's go kick some ass."

Sam- "Actually," he intervenes. "I got someone coming."
Sam gets a chorus of confused looks. When he got the news, he made a call to the guy that's helped from the start. He felt it was only fair to loop in Torres on the end fight.

  So, as Torres walks onto the jet, Sam smiles at him.
  Torres- "Damn," he says impressively. "You got the whole crew."
   Aira- "This is only half. T'Challa, Shuri, and the Dora are meeting us there."

   Bucky walks behind Yelena, whispering,
~in Russian~
   Bucky- "Is this going to be awkward for you?" He teases with a smirk.

   The death glare he gets from Yelena is meant to scare him. Only it makes him chuckle.
~in Russian~
Yelena- "I will kill you." Her voice comes out low, rasping in her Russian accent.

~in Russian~
Bucky- "I'd like to see you try." He walks away with a chuckle, leaving Yelena steaming.
She still has it in her head that she can take him down, and Bucky doesn't know why. Nat has tried and failed. Granite, he was the Winter Soldier at the time, but just because he's not ruthless doesn't mean he's lost his fighting ability.

  Yelena believes she could if she wanted to. Not that she will. Because, for some damn reason, she likes the grump.
  But she could. That's what matters.

  Nat has been getting the jet ready for lift-off in the meantime, but Peter speaks up.
  Peter- "Wait, wait, wait." That gets everyone to look at him, and a snicker almost slips up. "I have someone."

  Steve furrows his brows at the kid, a signal for him to continue.
  Peter- "I'm just kidding." He waves his hand, chuckling. "Let's go."
  He was feeling a little left out with everyone bringing people along, and he'll take a laugh from people anytime. In which he earns a few from the team.

  Nat sets to the snowy mountains of Canada as everyone gets settled in their seats. The jet is definitely full with the team they've got.
  Bucky sits in the back on the bench, and Steve takes a place next to him.
  
  Steve- "You good?" He knows how hard it must be to come back to this base.
  Bucky- "Yea," he nods. "It's just any other mission." It's a lie that he tells himself because if he doesn't. .it will all come back.

  He doesn't let himself think about the days he spent in the cells. The hours of pain he endured as they worked to get his arm just right.
  Like he said, just any other mission.

  By the time they arrive, a couple of Wakanden jets are waiting in a clearing near the base. And blistering cold air whips into the jet as T'Challa and his team walk in to get the plan.
  Bucky leads the group through the layout of the building. His voice reminds emotionless, and for as much as he dreads being back, it's not as painful as he was expecting. And he's not sure why, maybe the sea of people on his side this time.

  Bucky- "The cells are in the west wing. But there's a reinforced door that is made to withstand an explosion."
            Steve- "That's where you come in." He points to Wanda. "Tony and Peter will go with you. You guys will secure the kids until everyone else takes care of the guards. We don't know how many Daniel's got, so be prepared."

  Nat- "Shuri and Torres will be in here on comms." She adds.
  Steve- "Expect the super soldiers to be here. Aira tracked the plane they've been using from Madripoor to here."

  Everyone nods in agreement.
  Yelena- "Okay," she claps her hands. "Let's fuck some shit up and not die in the process."
  Steve- "Alright." That's not how he would've put it, but it works.

He starts out the jet and into the bright outside, snow reflecting the light from the cloudy skies.
   The terrain around the building is rough, with trees and guards placed in hidden areas that they have to take out. His shield ricochets off multiple trees, knocking a few guards out, then returns back to his arm.

  Tony- "I'm getting déjà vu." He feels like he's been here, well, not here; Sokovia, to be more specific, but it's giving the same vibe. It just lacks a few originals. "Except this time, we've got a kick-ass lot more people on our side."
  Steve glances up as Tony flies overhead, blasting a few guards. He's not wrong.

  Wanda- "I can give you a blast for old times' sake." She smiles, lifting her hands that glow red.
  Tony- "Hey, no." He says, weaving between the trees, and Wanda chuckles. "Put those red powers to use."

  Aira knocks a man out who stands by the door to get in, Bucky and Yelena taking the others.
  Peter lands beside them, breathing a little more heavily. He follows the three in the building, and they get welcomed by a spray of bullets. Aira and Peter take a few to their suits, but it doesn't penetrate.

          Shuri- "Aira, ten on your right." She chimes in over comms, looking at the satellite view.
   Aira whips around right as a guard lunges at her. Her spear spins around her neck, and she stabs him in the leg. He lets out a loud groan of pain, then she pulls it out and knocks him out with the other end.

   Yelena takes on a guy who really thinks he's all that by the way he smirks before throwing the first punch. Yelena happily shows him his ego has been lying to him.
   Peter webs a guy up to the wall, giving him some company with a few of his buddies that have matching webs on them. He can hear the chaos behind him of the other Avengers taking down people.

  One of the guys that's stuck to the wall begins to cuss Peter out, only for a web to shut his mouth like a piece of duct tape.
  Peter- "That's better."
