"Let's go." Yelena says, waiting in the jet with everyone. She is confused as to why they are just waiting around in the jet that's placed in its spot on the compound tarmac.
"We're waiting for someone." Steve responds.
"I'm here." A man's voice comes from the back of the jet, and everyone turns to see Tony. "We may go now."
That is not the someone Steve is expecting. Steve's eyebrows go to his hairline.
"Pepper is letting you come?" Nat's mouth lifts in a half smile.
Tony stands before her with an offensive look. "She doesn't tell me what to do." Then he rolls his eyes, saying, "But yes, I got her permission."
"Cool, now can we go?" Yelena asks.
"We still got one more." Steve says right as he sees her walk on bored.
"Sorry I'm late." Wanda says, stepping up to the group.
"Yes!" Yelena claps her hands. "Let's go kick some ass."
"Actually," Sam intervenes. "I got someone coming."
Sam gets a chorus of confused looks. When he got the news, he made a call to the guy that's helped from the start. He felt it was only fair to loop in Torres on the end fight.
So, as Torres walks onto the jet, Sam smiles at him.
"Damn," Torres says impressively. "You got the whole crew."
"This is only half." Aira says. "T'Challa, Shuri, and the Dora are meeting us there."
Bucky walks behind Yelena, whispering, "Будет ли это для вас неловко?" (Will this be awkward for you?) He teases with a smirk.
The death glare he gets from Yelena is meant to scare him. Only it makes him chuckle.
"Я убью тебя." (I will kill you.) Her voice comes out low, rasping in her Russian accent.
"Я бы хотел посмотреть, как ты попробуешь." (I'd like to see you try.) He walks away with a chuckle, leaving Yelena steaming.
She still has it in her head that she can take him down, and Bucky doesn't know why. Nat has tried and failed. Granite, he was the Winter Soldier at the time, but just because he's not ruthless doesn't mean he's lost his fighting ability.
Yelena believes she could if she wanted to. Not that she will. Because, for some damn reason, she likes the grump.
But she could. That's what matters.
Nat has been getting the jet ready for lift-off in the meantime, but Peter speaks up.
"Wait, wait, wait." Peter says, and everyone to look at him. A snicker almost slips up. "I have someone."
