It hurts so much to see the changing days
Why can't everything stay the same?
After a period of time why is it that certain things are addressed in past tense?
It makes no sense to me
I know expecting things to remain unchanged is ridiculous
I wish it was all just a meaningless fib
A world where nothing would change
Where all sorts of relationships would stay the same....
I yearn to live like that
Knowing well that every greeting has a goodbye.
Yet this heart of mine desperately wants it to happen
I wish for the impossible
Hoping it could indeed come true
It's a pity that the clock only moves forward
It'd be a miracle if it could move backward
Too bad that life's not a fairytale.
