A/N: Picture of Luna. ^^^
Luna's p.o.v
Damn...
I sighed as I watched Axel leave with the rest of my humility. Never in my life did I think I was going to be stuck talking to Henry Pollia again. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. But he didn't leave with a very good impression of me...
We met sophomore year. Before I started talking to him he was the awkward new kid that was too shy to make friends. He use to sit alone during lunch and I remembered feeling sorry for him; he just looked so lonely. So one day I decided that I should be nice and sit with him. Of course Andy didn't like the idea at first, but I insisted. I'm pretty sure I said something like 'Everyone deserves a chance.' Andy reluctantly agreed, but only because he would have been alone if he didn't tag a long. I remember the look on his face when I sat next to him. Kind of like I gave him a puppy.
All three of us started to get a long really well, even Ax could tell you. There were some situations were I had to decline some of his invites to hang out just so I could hang out with Andy and Henry. It was during this time that I started to really like Andy, but Henry had the biggest crush on me. He use to hold doors open for me and offer to carry my books. Even when I declined his offers he would take them anyways. He's was super sweet, but I didn't feel the same way.
Homecoming was coming up and I decided that I was going to build up the nerve to ask Andy. I planned everything out. I was going to get Axel and a few other friends to hold up signs that said "HOMECOMING" and emerge from in between them with a sign with a "?" on it. It was a plan of pure genius.
After carrying through with the plan Andy, of course, said yes and I couldn't have been more happy. But, little to my knowledge, Henry was going to ask me that same day. He had bought me flowers and everything. After watching the big scene I had created, he waited until the crowd of people cleared before he went up to us and gave me the flowers. "Good luck." he said, winking at me before he left. I have never felt so bad in my life. After that day he avoided Andy and I completely.
He ended up joining the mass of sweaty boys that was hockey. He started hanging out with his new buddies and I remember feeling glad that he was able to find his people. He had a whole new group of friends to spend time with instead of the person who broke his heart...
Junior year he moved back to his home state and I never heard from him again. Something tells me that he still has some feelings... the way he's acting is a pretty big give away. Since the second he sat down he's been all twitchy and nervous. It's kind of adorable, but I'm with Andy now. I can't let my guilt of breaking his heart make me do something I know I'm going to regret.
I wonder what Axel is thinking. Before he left he looked at me then at my phone then back at me. I bet he has a plan. "So... uh... how are you? It's been a long time." Henry said, trying to be slick and resting his arm on the back of the booth. I pulled myself out of my thoughts and turned, smiling at him. "Well..."
buzz buzz
There it is. "I've been pretty good. I just got back from Germany actually..." I opened Ax's text mid-sentence,
Find out if he's going to the party. I think he might be able to help us. He obvi has a thing for you.
I'm going to strangle this kid. He probably doesn't even remember what happened between us. But sadly, he's right, he might help us if I play the right cards. "... my dad got sick. But he's fine now." He nodded sympathetically. "Uh... Anyways, I got invited to Sam's party, are you going to go?" I asked, trying my hardest to be excited. "U-Uh, yeah... actually." he said, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "Okay. Good. Can you help me with something?" I whispered, facing him completely and leaning in close. "U-U-h umm... maybe. I mean... I c-can if you need me to."
I looked at him seriously, intertwining my fingers and placing them in my lap. "I need to know I can trust you. I know you might still be upset with me and I apologize sincerely. But, I really REALLY need your help with this." He sat up in his seat and rest his elbow on the table, resting his head on his knuckles to look at me. "You don't need to be sorry," he laughed. "I'm over it. You didn't feel the same and I can respect that. The only reason I stopped hanging out with you guys was because I didn't want to be in the way of what you guys had. I'm still your friend, Luna. You can trust me." He said, smiling at me.
I felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders and I couldn't help but attack him in a hug. I pulled back and smiled for real. "Can you give me a sec?" I asked, picking up my phone and pointing to it. "Yeah, go ahead." he said smiling, his face a light pink. I couldn't help the smile that came to my face while I unlocked my phone to text Axel.
Get your ass out here. We can trust him. If not you can feed me to a flock of pigeons.
You better hope this works.
Just trust my judgement on this one. Get out of the bathroom, you weirdo.
I set my phone down and smiled at Henry. "Is everything okay?" he asked. I nodded, "You said I can trust you right?" He tilted his chin down, raising an eyebrow. "Well, the guy that went to the bathroom is the 'gay kid' that was in the car accident with Ryker. We need your help getting Ryker alone at the party. Everything Johnny told you was a lie. No doubt he drilled it into Ry's head and spread it around school. We have to get Ry to remember so he can set things straight." He furrowed his eyebrows and nodded his head slowly. Axel emerged from the bathroom and made his way back to the booth. "You can take your hood off now, he knows." Axel hesitated before he took of his hood and the glasses. "Oh! I know you!" Henry exclaimed, "I remember seeing you with Luna a whole lot when I use to go to Camisado High. Can't remember your name though..." Axel smirked, "I am kind of hard to miss. The name is Axel." he said with a cocky tone of voice.
"So, I'm assuming Luna filled you in a bit." Axel said, leaning back and crossing his arms over his chest. "Ah, yeah kind of. You were in the crash with Ry and John spread rumors that the whole thing was your fault. But I'm guessing that's not the case..." He trailed of, staring at Ax. "And you would be correct, good sir. Ry is my boyfriend, but that low life piece of shit donkey fucker ass eating son of a--" I gave Ax a look and he composed himself. "Anyways..." Ax continued before clearing his throat. "We need to get Ry on our side and pay that fucker back. We were hoping, since you're in the inner circle of his friends, if you could help us out at the party." he whispered.
"We've been here for quiet a while. Let's take this over to my place. We can talk more openly without having to worry about any randoms hearing and telling John." I whispered to them both. "I'm okay with that." Axel says, moving to stand from the booth. "Uh, yeah. Alright. I'll follow behind you guys." he said, standing and offering his hand to me. I took it and stood from the booth.
Henry walked us outside to my mom's car. "Just follow behind me." I said to Henry. "Alright, see you guys in a bit." I nodded and got inside, Axel getting into the passenger's side. I pulled out of the parking space and out of the parking lot, Henry right behind us.
I hope this works.
