Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: The Wands Card

I ran as fast as I could home. I knew time was of the essence and I had to hurry. Using my stand I climbed up to my bedroom window and made it inside. I looked at the clock and it was twenty past eleven. Ooooh, I'm SO dead if I get caught! All the more reason I should hurry. I grabbed an old travel bag from my closet and stuffed it with necessities like my clothes and hygiene products. And since we were going to Egypt, I also packed a scarf and sunblock to protect my skin from the burning heat. Once I made sure I had everything I needed, I wrote a note to my family.

'To Mam, Pahp, and Yamato,

I know you're wondering where I was last night and why I ditched school again, and I know you're definitely disappointed but I promise it was all for a good reason. I just can't say what it is. I'm sorry if this hurts you but I'm going away to help a friend. They need me. I don't know when I'll be back, but know that I love you and neither of you have done anything to push me away to make this decision. Wish me luck..

When I was done writing the note, I planted it on my bed. I took one last look at my bedroom and breathe in deeply. This was it. Here I go. I climbed back out and down my window and left before anyone could catch me. As I ran down the street I saw a black car and an ambulance pull up to the Kujo's residence. Men in suits and doctor gear came out of each of them and began hurrying inside. I also saw Jotaro and Kakyoin standing outside the house walls.

"Hey, guys!" I beamed. "Who are these people?"

"Don't worry, we can trust them. They're doctors from the Speedwagon foundation," Mr. Joestar said as he and Avdol came out with us. "They're going to stay with Holly and take care of her around the clock."

"That's a relief to know."

Avdol then came to me and Jotaro, holding out a deck of cards in his hands. "Jojo, (name), since I am a fortuneteller by trade, I'd like to name your stands before we go."

"Name them?" We asked in unison.

"With the tarot, the cards of fate. Do not look, but let chance guide your choices. It will not only suggest to us your destinies, but also the abilities of your stand."

Jotaro was the first to pick his card. He got the 17 of Stars.

"The star card. I shall name your stand... Star Platinum."

Next, it was my turn. Avdol shuffled the cards and offered for me to take one. I closed my eyes and hovered my hand over the selection. The moment I felt the sun warm my face, I grabbed my card. It was the two of wands.

"The wands card.. interesting."

"What is it?" I asked, confusingly.

"It's a minor arcana, unlike ours that are the major arcana."

"Does that mean my stand is weak?"

"No, quite the opposite. The wands symbolize your will and passion, your life's purpose with whatever you choose, and since it is also a fire elemental, it fits with your stand perfectly."

"Wow. You can tell all that, just from one card?"

"That's just the surface from what I can tell, it's never as is. Aside from JoJo, I'm assuming, none of us have seen what you're stand can do. I personally look forward to seeing that change very soon." He winked.

I smirked, "then, I don't plan to disappoint, Mr. Avdol."

"I shall call your stand... Wand Nova."

Stand Name: Hermit Purple.
Abilities: spirit photography and hamon conduction.

Mohammed Avdol.
Stand Name: Magician's Red.
Abilities: fire and heat.

Noriaki Kakyoin.
Stand Name: Hierophant Green
Abilities: remote stand manipulation and emerald splash.

The group lined themselves up, and with each having their right foot out, they posed dynamically.

"All right, we're off!"

"Uuh... Why are we posing?" Name asked Mr. Joestar.

"Shush, it's supposed to look cool."

"Yare yare..."
