School was going normal, I didnt have the best of grades in the class, which didn't matter to me. Like always I would feel left out from my gang but I would silently follow my gang. During the time of 9th, our school would take us to a trip, of course it was like a school field trip but we would go to a totally different city via flight. I remember that Vinya and another girl who I can't remember the name of would joke about a local song on the bus ride to our hotel from the airport. Vinya and I were NEVER close, we just were mere friends like we had totally different tastes and never really had that bond. I remember our tennis teacher getting confused of who was who cause according to him, we both look alike which we never don't. She had typical north indian look which I was jealous of cause I found her pretty. Im gonna be honest, she was techinally a girl with beauty and the brains.
During the trip, I met some sweet juniors like Mina and Valiere and Melody and Kayla. So at the hotel, I was assigned to a hotel room with Mina and Valiere and Kayla and my classmate Vicky were orginally shared a room but Vicky didn't want to be with us. Since Maya and Vicky were close, we asked the teachers to just swap Vicky into their room and let us have Melody. I wasn't really that happy that I was with all juniors but soon I would be so greatful that I did. Thank godness Vicky wasn't in my room, she had a little bit of a annoying attitude which pretty much annoyed all of us and Melody was a pretty silent and somehow fun to be with. Kayla was kinda the mommy's girl, who almost cried for everything but it was cause it was her first time on a trip without her parents but we managed to help her out and handle her emotional breakdowns throughout the trip (Well mostly Mina cause she was good friends with her and classmates).
In the bus on the way from the hotel to the campsite we would be staying in, which was on a hill. I would meet a few of Machu's classmates - Rina, Raina, Riley and a few more I can't remember. Riley would tell me that Eun was so possesive of Machu. For example, when Machu was talking to some other girl Eun would pull her hair to grab her attention as she was supposedly jealous and the action Eun did would cause Machu to fall on the floor or something. That did infuriate me inside causing me to hate Eun and feel more possesive of Machu. Rina was a pretty much looking like a makeup maniac, she would wear red lipstick and eyeliner which made me feel weirded out, a 7th grader wearing makeup was just disturbing for me but i got used to it.
Eventually we would reach the campsite, which was on the top of a huge hill and it was a really dizzy ride for most of us. I may have forgotten to mention but the girls and guys would ride different buses. The guys got a huge travel bus and us girls got some small bus which perfectly accomdated all of us since there were not a lot of girls. Both buses had teachers to calm the bus down, but we weren't that bad of a bunch of girls.It was a hetic schedule for us.
Throughout the duration of the two days stay, we barely went out except for a hike due to the rain. We did have a nice campfire and some food they provided us with. We would stay in these like tent cabins, outside it looked like a tent but inside there were beds for all of us and a bathroom but none of us took a shower cause it was really cold and they didn't provide us with a heater and instead they would heat the water themselves. Most of us didnt shower until 2 days when we returned to the hotel. It would start raining when were going for a hike and some actvities so we rushed back to the the campsite, which wasn't far.
We would hang out in the room under the covers cause it was cold. I would sleep on the corner near the door next to the window. The funny thing was that since the camping place was a forest, there were always monkeys running around behind the tents or on the tents. There was an incident where a monkey barged into one of the girl's tents so the girls had to stay in the teacher's cabins eventually which seemed cool but I didnt care because I had my new friends with me. Eventually I got to know that Mina and I were both huge stans of Kpop and we both loved the same Youtuber. We would lay around and just talk to one and another or trash talk our teachers. Staying under covers was pretty much so relaxing that I never felt better to relax like that in a planned trip in where most of the plans for the first day were cancelled.
The next day we just changed our clothes and went on a nice hike in the nature, I was with my juniors talking and having a fun chat while hiking. We hiked till a point which had a very beautiful view, took some pictures and then returned back to the site for some dinner and we returned to our rooms for a bit before heading to a campfire in where our clothes that got wet would be used to dry, we would use the fire to dry our clothes, which was an idea by one of the male teachers. Once we all finished with that and hanging around the campfire, we would go back to our rooms and take some rest before falling asleep in the tent.
I don't really remember much what happens but I remember that I had a lot of fun with my new friends that even after the trip, we would meet up and hang out which I truely enjoyed. Mina would introduce me to new people. Im happy that I met Mina and her friends cause they were fun to be around and I forgot about my insecurities and remembered how fun it was to have friends instead of being left out all the time.
