Kiriko's POV

Both Y/N and I step out of my family's business with my parents walking behind us.

Toshiro:Are you sure you two can't stay here for another night?

Kiriko:I would, but then the giant gorilla would probably get mad.

Asa:Giant Gorilla?

Y/N:That's our leader it's a long story, trust me i didn't expect it also.

Asa:Well i know that you two are doing whatever it takes to be heroes. Even if it means of following the orders of a talking gorilla.

Toshiro:We'll still be sure to keep up with the news of your ventures.

Kiriko:Thanks you two, we'll try to be back by the summer.

My parents waved at us goodbye as Y/N and I began to head back to the orca.

I got a good glimpse of my beloved home, the entire town itself. Something that makes me happy.

But then i got back to thinking about Eichenwalde. Just picturing the thought of what Null Sector could do to my home scares me.

Even if it were to kill me, i'd defend my home to the very end.

Y/N:Hey Kiri, you alright? You've been blanking out.

Kiriko:Yeah i'm fine it's nothing.

I gave my boyfriend a reassuring smile trying to not make him worried.

Y/N:If you'd like we can visit the fox shrine. You know for preparation for the battles coming ahead of us.

Kiriko:Yeah I'd like that.

We walk in the direction of the fox shrine and walk up the steps.

Some of the shrine maidens recognized me and began to wave hi at me.

Shrine Maiden:Oh hi Kiriko, it's been a long time since we've seen you here.

Kiriko:Yeah, i just stopped by in town and decided to pay my respect to the fox spirit.

Shrine Maiden:Well I'm sure she'd be grateful to see one of her long time visitors. Where have you been this entire time?

Kiriko:I've been doing stuff...

Shrine Maiden:Then whatever it is must be important. Well see ya later Kiriko.

The shrine maiden begins to walk to another part of the shrine.

Y/N:I thought you'd brag about being an Overwatch agent?

Kiriko:Well the actual Fox Spirit already knows of my duties. Besides i only want those who i am truly close with to know.

I walk up to the Fox Statue and look at it. My Fox Spirit comes out as i kneel down and begin to pray to the Fox Spirit. Y/N joined me in praying as well.

My thoughts about the potential destruction of Kanezaka began to calm down.

I need to go back to my usual self and not let this get straight to my head.

Y/N stood up and finished praying as he looked down at me.

Y/N:Feeling better?

Kiriko:Yeah, let's go back to Gibraltar.

We began to leave the shrine and head towards the orca to return back to base.

Two days later
