16 - Shady clubbing

-How have you been, man? Jimin and Taehyung hugged each other manfully and did a handshake. And this lovely lady right here must be Blair, about whom I have heard so much! We hugged and I smiled when I heard what he said.

-Is that so? I hope you heard only good things. I joked and both of them laughed.

-Let's go leave your things at my place. Taehyung took one of Jimin's two huge suitcases and put it in the trunk of his car. Then he did the same with the second and drove to his house.

On the way we chatted, joked and laughed. Jimin turned out to be a really nice person and a very pleasant company.

When we arrived we helped Taehyung's friend unpack and then we sat in the living room to gossip.

-Yeah, man, so basically dad tried to set me up with Seulgi, but I obviously refused.

-Dude, I remember Seulgi from high school and honestly I would have felt sorry for you if you married her.

-I would have felt sorry for myself too!

-Aren't you guys hungry? Cause I personally could eat a horse right now. I joked.

-Imma take care of it! I'm going to see what I can whip up from the ingredients in the fridge. Said Taehyung, as he walked to the kitchen.

-So how did you guys meet? Jimin asked me.

-Well it's kind of a funny story. I got a job at his father's company, and later his father had me spy on Tae and tell him what his son was doing, so he could figure out if he was prepared to take over the company further or not.

When he heard what I said, Jimin started laughing and because his laugh was funny, I started laughing too. When Taehyung came back, he found us both lying on the floor, laughing and with red faces.

-I'm glad you two are getting along so well!

Unfortunately, we couldn't spend much time in Jimin's company because Taehyung had an important meeting to attend, and I had promised Marina that I would go shopping with her.

I was getting ready to go to a party with my best friend and her boyfriend, a party that Taehyung was supposed to attend as well, but was unfortunately stuck at work that night. Xiumin chose a club in the city center that I wanted to go to for a long time. I wasn't the biggest fan of clubbing, but I was willing to make an exception every now and then.

-Girl, are you ready? Marina asked me as I was looking at myself in the mirror. I chose a short black pleated skirt, a translucent black top and a denim jacket so I wouldn't die of cold.

-Yeah, I think so. I just feel like my outfit is missing something.

-Hm, let me think. My friend started rummaging through my jewelry and pulled out a silver heart pendant necklace with a cherry red gemstone in the middle. This should do the trick. Try it on.

-I don't know if that's a good idea. It was my mom's and I really don't want to lose it.

-It is precisely because it is precious that you should wear it. This is how you can honor her. I think she would have liked you to wear it.

-Do you really think so?

-I truly do. She smiled softly at me.

-Okay then. I will wear it. But let's hurry so Xiumin won't wait for us.

We hurried out and got into Xiumin's car, which drove to the club. But instead of parking the car in front of the main entrance, he parked it at the back entrance.

-Why are you parking here?

-Because there was no more parking space in front.

There was plenty of space...

I decided not to ask any more questions. I didn't have a car and couldn't understand his motivation, but he probably knew what he was doing.

We very excitedly went inside, where the party was lit. We left Xiumin at a table with our clothes and went straight to the dance floor. I danced with Marina to our song: Buttons by The Pussycat Dolls and many others. At one point I went to the table and let the two lovebirds spend some time together. When they disappeared from the dance floor I knew things have heated up between them.

I was a bit bored so I started spamming Taehyung with selfies. He was in a meeting that was taking a long time due to some paperwork misunderstandings. He replied with "my pretty girl" to my selfies, text that made my heart soften.

At one point I decided to go get something to drink because I was already tired of waiting for the two and I was also very thirsty. I ordered a cocktail from the bar, and a man started chatting with me.

-That is a very good drink choice.

-I know, it's my favorite. I replied.

-I'm Caleb, nice to meet you. He said and extended his hand for a handshake. I was a bit surprised by his gesture and it took me a bit to react.

-I'm Blair! Sorry, I don't want this to sound wrong, but you don't really look American.

-What? He laughed, confused by what I said.

-Well, you said your name is Caleb, and that name is American, and I thought maybe you were American.

-You got it right, I don't look American because I'm not. My parents, on the other hand, had a preference for international names, and that's why my name is Caleb.

We both laughed and I apologized for being so intrusive. I walked back to the table and began to enjoy my drink. In the meantime, the lovers have returned as well.

Suddenly I started to feel a bit dizzy and decided to go to the bathroom to splash some water on my face. Initially, I thought that maybe the alcohol made me sick, although there was no way that could have happened, because I barely had a few sips of that cocktail. Xiumin insisted on coming with me to make sure I was okay and that I didn't get hurt, which I thought was very noble of him.

Once I got to the bathroom, I leaned against the sink.

-God, I don't even know what happened to me.

-Maybe you ate something that upset your stomach. He tried to encourage me, but I knew that there was no way that could've happened.

-I don't think so. I didn't eat anything unusual. Suddenly I felt my head spinning and I panicked. I think I'm gonna pass out... I managed to say before I fell on the bathroom floor.

I couldn't see anything anymore, but I heard a voice that I was sure was Xiumin's, saying "sleep well". Then I became unconscious.
