"Where have you been?!" Mom and Heather yelled in sync, then Heather touched her cheek, "Ugh, I feel old.."
"HEATHER!!!"
"Sorreeey..." Heather said innocently.
"Are you calling me old?!" Mom said an octave higher than usual, making her voice screech.
"Well..." Heather said suggestively, "I never called you old. I just said I feel old, unless...*gasp*... feeling guilty? "
"Why you -"
"Pleaae Calm down, Val. We can talk about.. this matter later." Dad said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Mom, Dad, are you guys implying that I'm a 'matter'?!" Heather said, looking hurt.
"Mom, mom, mom... " Sam said, tugging at Mom's dress, "I accidentally used all the robux that news-guy's son got me yesterday...."
Y'know, I am glad they're forgetting the fact that they're mad at me. This is why, even though I'm not picking a side in this mother daughter fights, though if-I-had-to-it'll-definitely-be-mom. Right now, all I can say is thank you, Heather!
I just rushed in, freshened up a little, and rushed back out, and guess what? Still arguing.
"...you take that back, Heather!" I heard Mom yell, poor her.
"HEATHER YOU'RE GROUNDED!" Dad said, finally losing it. Oh snap, what on earth did she do...
"Am I still getting my Robux?" Sam said, "I promised my friends I'd play 'Pls Donate' today.... they said something about Ha-cking-me if I didn't. I wonder what that means..." Tapping his chin, he turned to me, "Niff, do you know what that means?"
I knelt in front of him and sighed, "Sammy, you need new friends..." I told him, "ASAP."
Sam said he would think about what Squimpy would do in the same 'adventure' no matter how many times I tried to tell him Squimpy didn't-and wouldn't play Roblox because he didn't have any thumbs. While Mom and Dad were still trying to figure out how to punish Heather.
"Guys?"I spoke up, "we just might be having a flight in...say, maybe two hours?"
Mom opened her mouth to speak, but Dad put a hand on her shoulder and mouthed, 'We'll deal with this later.'
"I heard that!" Heather said hurt, "Are you implying that I'm-"
"WHY-" I yelled a little, cutting her off, "-don't we go to the airport now?"
Mom, Dad, and Sam nodded and got in the car while Heather scrunched up her face and snapped her fingers, "Oh yeah, we were mad at YOU!"
----∇~Δ~∇~Δ~∇----->
Stepping out of the car, I heard Mom say something about Sam and why he should have tied his shoe lace when he was in the car, before telling Heather to tie his shoe lace. Tssk, tssk, tssk.
Heather was about to open her mouth to say something before Lars raised his hand and quickly said, "I'll do it." As if to tell Heather, "Not now, please.'
"Thank you!" Mom said, still staring at Heather.
I honestly can't believe we're leaving Berk and leaving the whole archipelago, even though it's just for a short while, I still can't believe it. But I can't say we don't deserve it... It's been a long six months, to say the least.
"No!" Sam cried, "I like that bag. Don't let that evil machine eat it!" He said, tugging at Mom's dress.
"Sammy," Mom started, "It's not 'eating' it it's taking it to the Bag Plane Section. it's where all the bags fly to wherever they're going. It's meant to be there..."
"Oh." Sam nodded, "Can't it just ride with me? Those guys are carrying their favorite bags and leaving the fat ones to the machine.." He said, pointing to passengers flying in the economy section who were checking in.
"Right..." Mom said shortly, not knowing how to reply to that.
I am currently silently praying that Mom doesn't give in and let him keep that bag because knowing Sam, he wouldn't touch it. Heather, wouldn't carry it, so we all know what that means...
"HAYDEN!!!" Way to show decorum in public, Jack, way to go.. "I'M HERE! I MADE IT! AND I GOT HERE FIRST!" He yelled, frantically waving his arms.
"Congrats Jack, you've just won a Grammy Award!" I said sarcastically, "Which is why you're screaming in public."
"No time for your bivkering boys..." Heather said irritated, scrunching her nose and giving Jack a quick glare.
"HEY!" Jack said folding his arms sbove his chest, "We're men..."
"Shut up, White hair..." Heather said shoving past him, never taking her eyes away from her phone.
Soon enough we were boarding the plane and believe me, it took a while. Apparently, some lady got into a heated conversation with the flight attendant about how this plane was destroying the enviroment, she even said something about the earth...crumbling? That better not be true...
I don't know if I was the only one who noticed that we should have been in the plane a long time ago but for some reason everyone seemed like they didn't care. Jack has been on planes a couple of times, he should know what's going on...
"Uh..Jack? What's happening?" I asked.
"Oh this is just that time when some guy starts going cray, and then everyone else just acts unbothered, tryina play chill, y'know?" Jack replied.
From his tone I can tell this is something that happens from time to time, It's not okay, but I'm fine if it's a normal thing...but Heather though...
I could tell she was unhappy to say the least, and since Heather isn't really the best at hiding what she thinks. I can tell that deep down, she want's to explode, and yell and do stuff like that. I'm pretty sure the only thing stopping her is the fact that Dad gave us a whole lecture with slides and everything, about why we need to keep a low profile.
Normally, when my parents warn us not to do something like that, Heather likes to pretend she never heard, but in this case that isn't exactly possible.
"I've been standing for HOURS!" Sam complained. But before anyone could say anything, Sam is walking up- who am I kidding, Sam HAS walked up to the woman and tugging at her dress...
"Hi nice lady," Oh, we're still doing the 'nice lady' thing, it's something Squimpy deamed as 'what kindhearts do', "could you maybe-"
"HURRY UP WOULD'YA!" Heather shrieked. There goes our low profile....
"HEATHER!!!" Mom AND Dad whisper-yelled in sync.
But then all the to-be-passangers decided they were going to stop playing cool, so they started yelling at the 'nice lady' to 'move it'.
"What happened to 'play it cool?'" I said.
"Oh, they were just waiting for someone else to complain first, so they would look unchill." He replied.
Man, I thought I was done with high school...
