Cassiopeia had been out of hospital for a week now, but hasn't been back to class yet.
Cass, Eva and Violet were sat in the Slytherin dorms with Pandora Lestrange And  Dorcas meadows ( two of vi and Eva's dorm mates) they were sat on their beds playing a muggle game called "smash or pass" were you say a name and the other person has to say wether they would smash them or pass them.
"Dora smash or pass......" Dorcas thought. " Lucius Malfoy"
"Oh, definitely pass." She answered in her dreamy voice playing with her waist length white blonde hair.
"I agree! What's going on with the hair." Dorcas told the group.
"Hey isn't he the bloke your cousins supposed to marry when they leave school?" Eva asked Cass.
"Yeah that's Cici's future husband, I feel bad for the kids having a dad like that." Cass told the others
"Vi , smash or pass, Lily Evans," Pandora played.
" oh erm usually I'd say smash but recently she's been acting a bit off towards us."  Violet said. They had noticed that recently James had been very quiet and Lily had been hovering around them a lot more.
During the time the girls had been playing this game, Evan, Regulus, Barty and -for some reason- Remus lupin had been walking out of the dorm and heard the girls talking and wanted to find out more, so they were currently crouched outside their door listening in through the small gap.
"Ooooh I've got one Cass smash or pass Amos Diggory." Violet asked.
"Oo erm i don't know, I mean slight smash, I mean he's pretty to look at but he's way to full of himself." Cass answered.
"He's no James Potter, is he C?" Evangeline joked.
"No he's definitely no James Potter, I ,personally, don't think it can get much better than James Potter." Cass added. Squeals erupted from the two uninformed girls.
The boys outside were momentarily shocked. Regulus gave Evan a sort of disgusted look to say "ew my sister thinks our friend is fit."
Remus and Barty also shared a glance meaning a completely different thing. They looked at each other a mischievous glint in both pairs of eyes, "Cass likes James back." Said their eyes. Thousands of plans forming behind their minds.
"Alright then Vi, your go, if we're spilling secrets now, smash or pass Barty crouch junior." She said his name slowly so it could really sink in to those listening.
Violet- never to afraid to over share-  " oh smash all the way. I've been dreaming about that boy since I was like seven years old. He's litterally the fittest guy in the school by far. I'd be on my knees in a second if he asked "Violet answered honestly.
"Jesus Vi, that's my twin you're talking about." Everyone laughed at the comment from Eva.
Outside of the door the spoken boy was blushing furiously, 'I'd be on my knees in a second if he asked' he'd have to take that into consideration for future reference.
"Oh really if we're talking about brothers what about you, smash or pass Regulus fucking Black." Violet jokingly shouted at the blonde girl.
By the silence that echoed through  the entire dorm, they could tell there was no denying feelings.
Outside the dorm there were two bright red boys and two other boys trying to keep their laughter in.
"Jesus you guys!! Isn't that like insest" Dorcas shouted, causing the girls to laugh loudly, luckily covering the sniggers coming from outside of the door.
"What! No!" Violet shouted back,
"We're not actually related you know." Cass exclaimed to the two slytherin girls, all of them with tears in their eyes from laughter.
"What about that Lupin boy you three hang around with, anything going on there?" Dorcas mentioned.
"Nothing romantic, but still can I just add, those scars are sexy as shit. And it's not a secret I'd say it to his face if he asked." Cass told the Slytherin girl
"It's such a shame he's so insecure about them isn't it. I think they make him look brave." Pandora told the girls in her drifty voice.
"I know right! The boys gorgeous, he just needs to recognise it." Eva said enthusiastically.
Remus blushed at the complements, the girls went on for a few minutes about all of the amazing things about Remus from his hair to his clothes to the faint smell of chocolate only Cass could pick up on.
Remus was deeply flattered that the girls picked up on how he felt and loved those parts of him that he never did.
"Boys...." Barty whispered. "I've just come up with the best plan ever."
The four boys crept down the stairs and through the common room into the small entrance chamber outside of the door.
"Whats this plan then Barty?" Remus asked.
"Is it actually a good plan or is it a plan to get us all either in trouble or dead." Evan added on.
"It's a plan to help get Cass and James together." Barty said smirking at the three boys.
"Oh so it's a plan to get us killed then." Regulus told the boy.
"They don't even actually like eachother." Evan argued.
"Did you not hear what Cass just said about James in there?! Of course she likes him. It's going to be getting James to stop obsessing / harassing the Evans girl that'll be the impossible part." Regulus explained. Remus and Barty looked at each other, Remus nodded.
"What if we told you that wouldn't be a problem." Barty smirked.
"What do you mean?" Regulus questioned
"What do you two know that we don't." Evan wondered.
" Well, last week in divination, after James spent the night with Cass in the hospital wing. He told us that since the incident." Remus winced at the reminder of it. Barty carried on. " he relised that Lily was just a distraction and that he really liked Cass all along."
"But he thought that Cass wouldn't ever like him back because he was too 'cocky and arrogant'" Remus added.
"Which isn't exactly wrong." Evan chimed in.
" I mean yeah but, now we know she likes him AND he likes her. Now we can do what we can to push them in the same direction." Regulus concluded, all the details clicking in his mind.
"And do you know how the gryfindor Halloween costume party is coming up in October right." Barry prompted.
"We're going to call it operation 'save a horse ride a cowboy.'" Barty laughed soon joined in by the other three boys.
