"Riki? Riki?"

The Japanese guy heard the faint sound calling for his name outside his room but since it's very faint and he's still drunk in sleepiness, he ignores it thinking that it's just a dream. He turned his body to the side as he put a pillow on his face, trying to cover the voice that keeps calling him.

"Riki? Riki! Oh my god don't worry baby Riki, I'll save you!" The sound of constant knocking accompanied with the clinging sound of the keys made him stirred his body on his bed, frowning at the annoying sound that his dream made.

The door swung open, revealing a worried golden retriever looking guy before he dashed towards Riki and shook his shoulders. "Good lord, you're fine!"

Riki quickly sits up and stomps his feet on his bed, almost kicking Jake's stomach if he didn't back away for almost a second. "What? What? What!" The younger whined.

"Well sorry baby chick, but you didn't respond when I called you a lot of time and thought you're dead or something." Jake put up both of his hands up in defeat manner.

Riki rubs his eyes, still feeling drowsy. "Ugh, I'm just so tired after arrived here yesterday."

"Figured that since you didn't came out from your room since dinner." The older guy crossed his arms against his chest and released a sigh. "Sorry to disturb you like this but you need to go to school today, it's your first day."

A loud groan escaped from Riki's lips before he lay back on his bed, pulling his comforter up until his nose, covering half of his face. Jake pulled away the comforter. "Come on, Riki. I have to go to work after I send you to school. I can't bear going late since I need to do the experiment."

Seeing Riki didn't budge even an inch, Jake decided to pull his long legs. "Come on, come on, come on!"

"Just go to work, I'll use the bus." Riki waved his hand towards the older, shooing him away.

"You don't even know how to go there." Jake lightly slaps Riki's thigh. "Plus, I want to send you to your first day of school. It feels like I'm sending my own child, tears in my eyes as I saw you waddled away to your class to learn a new knowledge so you can be a useful person one day." Jake wipe the invisible tears in his eyes which made Riki let out a 'tch'.

"Ugh, fine. I'm going to get ready so get out of my room now."

Jake grinned. "Alright! That's the spirit, my boy!"

"Yeah, I felt very motivated to go to school." Riki forced a smile.

The older guy took some steps to exit the room, "Don't go back to sleep or I'll force you to go to school while wearing that puma pajama." He warned and closed the door.

"That guy talks a lot." Riki whispered to himself then he sits on his bed to stare at the corner of the wall, letting the reality hits him.

With a deepest sigh that he ever released, he stands up to get ready. "Today better be worth it." He chanted those words just like he always did everytime he woke up in the morning.

"You cooked?" Riki asked after he finished getting ready, pulling out the chair while looking at table, eyes staring at Jake's back that is busy cooking something.

"If it's only fried egg then yes, I can cook." He put two fried eggs on each plate, along with baked beans, and two sausages. Just typical food for breakfast.

Riki shrugged his shoulders. "It's not like I expect you to cook something fancy. As long as you didn't burn us down with your horrible cooking skills, then we're safe." Riki took a spoonful of baked beans and put it inside his mouth.
