Chapter 9

Third Person Pov

The atmosphere was electric and intense as the gymnasium slowly filled with fans eager to watch the showdown between the Emerald Dunkers and Golden Ballers.

Fans from each team brought banners, flags, even homemade fan light stick's with the team members meme plastered on it. One fan girl even brought a banner with a "Goodluck my Baby Sunghoon" message and a picture of Sunghoon picking his nose.

Kazuha was eating that up and even ran over to her and asked her if they could take a selfie with the banner.

Kazuha skipped her way back to their seats with a mischievous grin on her face.

Guessing the whole selfie thing worked

"That must be one big chunk there, Hoonie," she teased, trying to muffle her laughter when Sunghoon's eyes balled out at the picture.

His nose flared in embarrassment as he started looking around to see if anyone else saw it.

"Where the hell did you get that?" He angrily asked, hiding the phone with his side.

Kazuha couldn't hold it anymore and started bustling out with laughter.  Her hands clapped in unison, unable to control the joy she felt at his annoyed reaction.

"What's wrong?" Niki butted in and asked with a confused expression.

Sunghoon's gaze perked over to him and he quickly grabbed her phone and hid it behind him, "N-Nothing," he stuttered.

Nik squinted his eyes, seeing Sunghoon's face turn crimson red made him even more suspicious and curious.

"Shouldn't you be changing to your game jersey?"

He asked, trying to change the topic. Niki nodded and excused himself. Seems him plan worked.

Once Niki left for the changing rooms. Sunghoon breathes a sigh of relief but that later changes with frustration when Kazuha speaks up, finally controlling her laughter. 

"You should have seen your face. Didn't know your eyes could pop out like that"

"Shut up," He said in between gritted teeth and started ruffling her hair roughly.

He wanted to hit her but they were on school grounds. Not to mention that Haerin was sitting just a few feet away from them.

And if you know Haerin, you'd know how strict she is when it comes to rules.

She'd send him to her office and he'll get much more than just a whole week of detention for his second warning.

His first warning was just given to him almost two weeks ago.

He didn't want to attend Mr. Chow's class and decided to skip school. But all the gates were closed so he decided to climb the mango tree near the gate and jump off. Except, he was stupid and clearly wasn't thinking when he landed right on the garbage cans outside the gates.

The school guard on duty heard the noise and immediately rushed over to see what it was and saw him covered in garbage.

He was sent to Haerin's office and although it was his first offense. Haerin made it harsher because she had already reprimanded the man for even thinking about skipping, but being as stubborn as he is, he didn't listen.

Therefore, he got a whole week of detention and a stinking ass.

"Sunghoon!"

Jaehyun called out to him.

Sunghoon turned around and saw his team already huddled up. He turned to the timer and saw that their 15 minute warm-up had already started.

He stuck his tongue out to the woman, earning an annoyed smack in return. Sunghoon laughed in victory and walked over to his team.
