Delivered

The girl couldn't stop herself from coming up with all kinds of theories on why he hasn't replied. Sad from seeing all of her texts unopened she felt like she needed to do something to distract herself and make her feel better. Maybe a little shopping spree with her girl Nari and some indulgence would help her get her mind off things.

Nari

Chaewol: hey nari r u up for going shopping together?

Nari: yeah sure but aren't there another things that u should be more worried abt

Chaewol: no... not that i know off

what are u talking abt

Nari: i mean it's just that ur husband is lying sick in bed and u want to be out shopping.

Chaewol: wait what?

Nari: haechan got down with a cold yesterday and has been home the whole time

i thought u knew

Chaewol: what i had no idea abt this

that's why he hasn't opened any of my texts

Nari: yeah he has been in bed the whole time

Chaewol: nari, send me haechan's address

Chaewol thanked herself for finally getting her driver's in Korea so she could save time to get to his house. She quickly stopped by the pharmacy to get the basic painkillers and medicine for colds and coughs and finally reached his house.

Haechan lived in an apartment complex and as she stood outside the gate she realized that she didn't have the keys to get inside.

Chaewol you idiot, how were we even planning on getting inside. I might as well just wait for someone to show up.

The gods seemed to be on her side because as she nervously paced around outside the gate an old lady came up to her. "Young lady, do you need to get inside?" Chaewol turned to the old lady and silently thanked the gods.

"Yes auntie, do you have the keys to get inside?" she asked hopefully.

"Yes I live here, come with me I'll take you inside."

Chaewol thanked the old lady for her help and followed after her. Once they got into the elevator she pushed the button to the 3rd floor, and parted ways with the lady once she got off.

Once again she was faced with another problem, she didn't know the password to get inside Haechan's house. She sent a text to Nari asking about the password but she seemed to be busy. Chaewol didn't want to ring the bell and disturb Haechan if he had been sleeping but she didn't have anything other than that.

She clicked the calling bell, hoping that Haechan was awake. There was no sign of movement the first two times that she rang the bell. But they say that the third time's the charm, and just as she was about to ring one last time the door opened.

This time the door opened to a sick Haechan, who was in a big white t-shirt and black sweatpants. His bangs were pressed against his forehead, slightly wet from sweat, goosebumps coating his exposed arms. His beautiful tan skin had lost the glow that it normally held and his plump strawberry colored lips were now paler in color.

His eyes widened in surprise as he saw Chaewol standing outside his door. Straining his voice he asked her, "Why did you come?"

"You are sick, how could I not come? Why didn't you tell me that you weren't feeling well?" she questioned as he let the girl inside his house.

"Chenle's birthday," he told her.

"Huh?"

"The password." he told her, pointing at the door. "it's Chenle's birthday."

The girl giggled at that information.

"There is no need to laugh at me like that." Haechan pouted.

"You really hate Chenle don't you?" she sarcastically said, still giggling. "Go inside your room, you're wearing so little. I'll be there soon okay?" The boy listened to her and did as he was told.

Chaewol couldn't help the corners of her lips from rising as she watched the boy waddle into his room like a penguin. She quickly set her things down at the entrance and made her way to the room that Haechan had walked into.

She got a quick glance around the house as she made her way to the room. The interior was simple but cozy, it definitely felt like Haechan. The same thing went with Haechan's room, simple with just a bed, a closet and a desk with a pc.

The boy was sitting on the bed, scrolling through the messages on his phone that he had ignored since yesterday. As Chaewol walked up to him she could hear him let out soft coughs.

"Nari said that you got sick yesterday, have you taken your medicine?" Haechan nodded and took a sip of the water that was beside his bed. "Do you still not feel well?" she asked worriedly.

"It's okay, I'll be fine after I get a little more sleep." he assured her.

The girl glanced at him. "Hyuck, you need to take care of your health. You can't just stay focused on your work all the time."

"Okay Chaewol I understand. But you didn't have to come, I would have gotten better in just a couple hours."

Haechan moved back against the bed, a little taken by surprise because Chaewol had just leaned closer to him and placed the back of her flat against his forehead. He didn't notice how he had been holding his breath as the girl examined him.
