(David's POV )

-The day after Amy, and Travis's date-

I pull up to the bakery in my squad car, get out, and walk inside the establishment.

"Hello Officer Welcome to-" The barista begins to greet me.

"I'm sorry to interrupt Mrs. But I'm looking for someone. Have you seen this woman?" I ask showing her a picture of Amy I got from her house.

"Oh yes, I believe her name is Amy she been coming in here a-lot lately. She usually comes in for a box of donuts for a group at the Library. But no, I haven't seen her today," she explains. "I hope it's nothing to serious."

"I can't disclose anything it's still an ongoing investigation. But thanks I guess I'll go try the library then."

I give her a nod, and walk out to the sidewalk. I stroll on down to the library, and walk inside fallowing signs for the PTSD support group she should be attending right now.

"Hello, officer," a man greets me as I enter the small conference room.

"Hello gentlemen, I don't wish to disturb any of you but I'm here on official police business."

"Oh no," one man croaks.

"Amy Moore is an official missing person, we believe she is in great danger. Do any of you know what she's been up to lately? She went on a date last night anyone know who that might have been?" I ask looking around the room at the several men in front of me with looks of disbelief, anger, and sadness on their faces.

"Well, She isn't much of an open book. But most mornings recently I've seen her chatting closely with a male librarian here," a man with an eye patch says.

"She got that new job at an art Gallery," another adds.

"We will help search for her if you need extra help. Just let us know," the first man offers.

"Thank you, for your time gentlemen."

I walk up to the front desk immediately waiting for a librarian to notice me.

"Um yes officer may I assist you?" An older lady asks from behind me emerging from the shelves of books.

"Yes, I'm looking for a male staff member who works here can I speak with him?" I inquire.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Hun he's not here today in-fact yesterday was his last day, such a shame. It's hard finding good help," She explains sorrowfully.

"What was his name?" I ask.

"Travis," she answers. "Travis Rhodes."

(An hour later)

I'm sitting at my desk filling out the paperwork for Amy's missing person case. Trying my best to remain calm long enough to get this stuff pushed through so I can go out in the field with the search team.

I did a background check on Travis Rhodes, and unless I'm mistaken Amy wouldn't go out with a dead man.

" 'Knight follow me into my office," the chief says to me as he passes heading to the back of the department.

I get up swiftly taking my cup of coffee with me as I follow him. We walk into his office, and he turns around motioning for me to close the door then sit. Once I'm seated he speaks.

"Any developments in the investigation?" He asks me turning on his computer.

"I interviewed friends, and family of Amy. Someone has seen her spending time with a male librarian who worked at the branch off twelfth, and Pine. I questioned his former employer Mrs. Lynn, and she gave me his name. Travis Rhodes, only problem is that's not his real name. Mr. Rhodes has been deceased since 2003. I've since asked Mrs. Lynn for access to the library's security cameras, and our I.T. team is on route to her location. We soon should have at least a photo of who we are looking for," I place my cup down, waiting for his response as he click clacks away at his keyboard.

"Good, I want to be kept up to date on any developments in this case. Oh, and here," he says as he opens a desk drawer, and reaches down to pull something out. A badge, and a new ID land on the desk in front of me. The sight of it brings out a small smile I can't help.

"Thank you Chief, I will not let you down," I say grabbing them, and putting them in my pocket.

"Remember I can take those back just as easily as I gave them. Close the door on your way out," he says turning back to his computer.

An hour later I get sent an email from Mac in I.T. , attached is a picture of a man walking through the front doors of the library. Immediately I recall his face from that day outside of Bianca's apartment. He was sitting with Amy on that bench. I feel a little stupid for not have realized earlier, she could be dead already. I can't afford to waste any time.

I shake those thoughts away as I head to the elevator, and head down a floor to the I.T. offices. The door opens, and I step out into the small hallway. I stop at the vending machine paying for a bag of chips, and some peanut M&M's before walking over to the lone door at the end of the hallway. I knock, waiting for a response. A minute passes before the door opens, a young Intern smiles at me before stepping to the side for me to enter. I scan the large area of the floor, looking over computer monitors.

"David, over here," a voice calls out from the far left side, a hand waving to gain my attention.

Walk over a head of black with blue streaks coming onto view.

"Hey Mac, have you pulled the footage from the library's parking lot yet? I want to pinpoint the car of the suspect," I set the candy, and chips on her desk as she looks over at me with a smile.

"Yes I actually just sent you an email about it ya goof," she says opening the bag of chips.

"This is much faster in person, not all of us our keyboard ninjas," I respond.

"Well looks like he drove to work everyday in a 98', Grey, Ford Thunderbird. Plates came up registered to, get this...," she dose a little drumming on her desk. "Jedd Bluhm,".

"What?" the mention of the Governor making thoughts ramble through my brain.

"I already forwarded the Chief everything we have so far. He'll probably take that part of this case from here. I have something much better for us to chase," Mac says typing away at her computer.
