It was morning. Shubman dialed Sharmili's number, eager to hear her voice. But to his dismay, he was met with the busy tone. Annoyance flickered across his features as he ended the call, wondering who could be calling her so early in the morning.

Moments later, Sharmili called him back, her voice bright and cheery as she greeted him. But Shubman's annoyance lingered, and he couldn't help but ask the question that had been eating him.

Shubman: "Hey, Sharmili. Whom were you talking to just now? Phone busy dikha raha tha."

Sharmili: *lightly* "Oh, that was Sid. We were discussing about exams."

A pang of jealousy shot through Shubman as he processed her words. He couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, wondering why Sharmili and Sid needed to be so close.

Shubman: *forcing a casual tone* "Ah, I see. Must be important then."

But despite his attempt to brush off his jealousy, Shubman couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something was amiss.

Shubman took a deep breath, pushing aside his feelings of jealousy as he mustered the courage to share his news with Sharmili.

Shubman: "Actually, Sharmili, there's something I wanted to tell you yesterday, but... things got a bit sidetracked."

Sharmili: "Hmm sorry about that...What is it?"

Shubman: "Well, I wanted to let you know that I'll be visiting Kolkata tomorrow for an advertisement shoot. And... I was hoping we could meet up while I'm there."

Sharmili's heart skipped a beat at Shubman's words, a rush of excitement coursing through her veins.

Sharmili: *eagerly* "Really? That sounds amazing! I'd love to meet up with you."

Shubman: *smiling* "Great! Once I know more about the schedule Mai tumhe bata dunga. I really want to spend some time with you."

Sharmili: *blushing* "I can't wait, Shubman. It'll be wonderful to see you."

As they ended the call, Shubman felt a sense of relief wash over him. Despite his earlier jealousy, he was excited at the prospect of seeing Sharmili again, eager to spend time with her and deepen their connection.

As the afternoon sun streamed through the window, Sid and Sharmili sat across from each other, chatting over cups of tea. The topic of conversation inevitably turned to Shubman's upcoming visit to Kolkata.

Sid: "So, Shubman is coming to Kolkata, huh? That's interesting."

Sharmili: *nodding* "Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing him."

Sid: *raising an eyebrow* "Are you sure about that? I mean, you don't want to come off as too eager. You don't want him to think you're desperate or anything."

Sharmili's heart sank at Sid's words, a flicker of doubt clouding her mind.

Sharmili: *hesitantly* "I hadn't thought about it like that. But this might be my only chance to meet him..."

Sid: *reassuringly* "Look, I'm just saying you should play it cool. Let him make the first move. Trust me, it'll make you seem more... mysterious."

Sharmili: *uncertain* "I guess you're right. But what if I miss the opportunity to see him?"

Sid: *smirking* "Trust me, Sharmili. If Shubman is really interested, he'll find a way to see you. You don't need to chase after him."

Despite Sid's advice, Sharmili couldn't shake off the feeling of longing in her heart. She knew that this could be her only chance to spend time with Shubman, and the thought of missing out weighed heavily on her mind. She was engrossed in her deep thoughts... Barely listening to Sid.

Sharmili's trance was abruptly broken by the ringing of her phone, and her heart skipped a beat as she saw Shubman's name flashing on the screen. With trembling fingers, she answered the call, her voice slightly breathless.

Sharmili: "Hello, Shubman?"

Shubman's warm voice filled her ears, and she couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement at the sound.

Shubman: "Hey, Sharmili! I just wanted to give you a heads up about my plans for tomorrow. I'll be landing at Kolkata airport around 6 am, and I'll be free until 10 am. After the shoot, I'll have some free time as well, so when do you think we should meet?"

Sharmili's heart raced at the thought of finally meeting Shubman in person, and she quickly composed herself to respond.

Sharmili: "That sounds wonderful, Shubman! Do you have any preferences for timing?"

Shubman: "Hmm, well, I'm flexible, so it's up to you. We could either meet in the morning before my shoot or in the evening after it's done. Whatever works best for you."

Sharmili's mind raced as she weighed her options, torn between the excitement of seeing Shubman and the uncertainty of choosing the perfect timing.

Sharmili: "I think meeting in the evening would be better. That way, we can spend more time together after your shoot."

Shubman: "Sounds perfect! Let's plan to meet in the evening then. I'll send you the details once I've landed. Can't wait to see you, Sharmili."

As Sharmili was about to respond to Shubman's suggestion, Sid's voice suddenly pierced through the background, causing her heart to sink.

Sid: "Hey, Sharmili, weren't you supposed to go on a date with me tomorrow? And now you're backing off just for a guy you've known for a week?"

Sharmili's eyes widened in surprise at Sid's unexpected comment, her mind reeling with shock. She shot a glare in Sid's direction, silently urging him to stop, but his words had already hit their mark.

Shubman's voice on the other end of the line faltered, his excitement dampened by Sid's words. A wave of disappointment washed over him as he processed the implications of Sid's words.

Shubman: *somberly* "Oh, I see..."

Sharmili's heart sank as she realized the impact of Sid's careless remark. She quickly tried to salvage the situation, her voice tinged with frustration.

Sharmili: *firmly* "Sid, that's enough. There was never any date planned, and you know it. Don't be ridiculous."

Sid's expression softened as he realized the gravity of his words, and he quickly backtracked, realizing he had gone too far.

Sid: *apologetically* "I'm sorry, Sharmili. I didn't mean to upset you. I was just... joking around."

Sharmili sighed, her frustration evident in her tone as she addressed Shubman on the phone, hoping to reassure him.

Sharmili: *softly* "Shubman, please don't pay any attention to Sid. He's just being... Sid. I'm really looking forward to meeting you tomorrow."

Despite Sharmili's attempt to reassure him, Shubman couldn't shake off the feeling of disappointment that lingered in his heart. The specter of doubt loomed over him, casting a shadow over his excitement for their upcoming meeting.

Shubman hanged the call because he couldn't take it anymore. Something was wrong between these two.. "Why does he always interrupt between call and moreover why is he always with her??" Shubman was simply disgusted. He was also having second thoughts. "Perhaps they has actually planned a date and before he said sorry over the call she might have whispered him to". He was too confused and jealousy was at its peak. To top off things, Ishan wasn't picking up the call.

One part of Shubman's mind was burning with anger while the other part wanted to let things be.
