Vanya pov:

Everyone is hell busy in their respective work, some checking out the catering services, some making sure the decoration is up to the mark and some doing other arrangements. And here I'm just sitting along with dadi ji as she strictly prohibited me to do any kind of help in their work. Well, if I want to recover early it's needed. But I want to contribute too because it's my brother's wedding but I can't do anything. Yes, the wedding is the next day and I'm so excited for it.

"What are you thinking beta?" Dadiji asked making me come out from my thoughts.

"Kuch nhi dadiji. Wo mai bs..."

"Babe, I need your help. Come with me." Shivi interrupted my words.

"Go with her. But make sure not to move frequently." Dadiji said looking at my pleading face.

I smiled and went ahead with Shivi. As we reached my room, i asked her the reason...

"I think they are hiding something from us..."

"Whom are you talking about?"

"Prashant and Shreyash. I saw the luggage was packed in their room when I went to ask Prashant for breakfast. When I asked him about it...he said it's not what I'm thinking and he is not going anywhere. Judging from his reaction...he wasn't lying though, maybe I'm just overthinking you know. Cause they are working continuously and is not even joining us for any meal. So, i thought he is going back or something." She blabbered in one go.

"Calm down Shivi. Your assumption must be wrong. Where would he go right now. It's Raghav's wedding the next day and I don't think they will leave at this moment. About their continuous work, maybe it's because of their long leave." I said patting her shoulders. "Don't worry you silly girl, your Mr. Probation is not going anywhere soon. He promised me that he will win you over with his love and will never hurt you." I assured her.

"He did what?" She asked shocked. Well! It's supposed to be a secret between Prashant and me. He promised that he is not playing with my bestie when I threatened him. I'm very protective of her just like how she is of me and I'm not letting anyone hurt her.

"Ahh...umm...just what I said right now." I winked at her and she was a whole mess right now.

"I will be back soon..." With this she rushed out hiding her face. I have never saw this shy side of her. She loves him too but is not accepting. I bet!

As she left, I sat down arranging my jewellery and makeup which was kept here and there. The luggage...

"What if I'm not there?"

The words spoken by him echoed in my ears once again and I stopped at my place. It's not what I'm thinking, right? I questioned myself. I saw him just twice since that incident but there was no communication between us. Once when he was on a call and passed by us when we were sitting in the lawn and the next when he joined us for dinner for a brief time, leaving in the middle. We didn't talked but our eyes did a whole conversation. Guilt and sadness was what I decipher from his eyes. He was looking so tired, his face pale, dark circles under his eyes and his eyes swollen. I tried to meet him thrice but everytime I came across hurdles. I'm not having good feeling about this. Should I talk to Raghav? He must be knowing if there is something going on...

I approached his room...when my eyes fell on him . Shreyash was sitting there along with others. I knocked on the door and everyone's attention came on me.

"Kuch chahiye tha tujhe Vaani?" Raghav questioned me balancing the gifts in his hands.

"Wo...Mai..." I was dumbfounded at the moment. My whole focus was on him, our eyes striking glances at each other. Grey hazel against doe brown ones!

"I will keep those in that room. Pass them to me." Prashant spoke in between looking at the situation.

"Okay. Then I will bring others." Raghav picked the others and came near me. "I will come after keeping them. Just wait here." And he left saying those. I made some calculative steps towards him when he stood up looking at me. As I approached near him, he walked past me.

"Are you avoiding me?" I asked holding his wrist as we stood beside each other.

He stopped at his place but didn't turned his face towards me. Now, I'm more afraid to even think that my thoughts are right.

"I'm asking you something. Are you ignoring me because of what happened between us before?"

He pulled me close to his body making us face each other. He didn't utter a single word so I asked... "Are you regretting what you did and said?"

The hold on my waist tightened making me gulp hard. Our face was just a few inches apart. His eyes piercing into my soul.

"I'm not. And I will never regret what I said to you. All those were genuine and from the core of my heart, kitten. Don't ever question my feelings to you. It's not what anyone can judge, not even me or you."

I stayed firm in my position but from inside I was trembling.

"Then what's the reason? You didn't came to meet me once despite knowing I was waiting for you."

"You were waiting for me?" His voice showed happiness, hearing my words. He chuckled a bit and continued. "To be honest, I went to see you but you were asleep at that time. I thought you might need time to process all that. So..."

"So...you decided to ignore me? Avoid me? You decided it all by your own? What about about me? Do you even ask what I want?"

"No... kitten! It's not what you think. I was stuck in some work. I can't avoid you even if I want. It's not in my control to ignore your presence, ignore you when you are near me. I can't help it."

My eyes softened at his reply and I collided our head together. His cologne filled my nostrils and the freckles on my nose relaxed.

"I know. I was...I was just afraid. I thought you were avoiding me. I even tried to meet you many times but got caught up every single time. I thought our fate was tangled only up to here. Destiny does not want us to be together. We are not meant to be."

I poured my heart out. Those nightmares of losing him even before intertwining our hands together, scared me.

He held my face in his palms softly and securely, looking deep in my eyes.

"You trust me, right?"

His question might seem small to others but it's a big thing for me. 'Trust' is a very deep emotion for me. The last time I poured all my trust into was shattered by the same person and from that onwards I barely gave my trust to someone. But he, he is special. He earned my trust without my knowledge.

I nodded my head as a 'yes' and he continued...

"Our fate is written by us. It's not something anyone can control. About 'Destiny'; then let me be honest, I don't believe in it. If we want, nothing can separate us apart from death. I think, even if I die,....
