It Just Kind of Happened

First Day

New day, new job.

River rubs her hands on her jeans as she walks into the studio space. She quietly walks into the room filled with numerous people standing around a large U shaped table with a bunch of chairs around it. She smiles as she sees her new boss making a beeline towards her.

"River!" Patty smiles as she hugs River. "I'm so happy you're here!"

"I'm excited to be here!" River smiles.

"Come," Patty grabs her hand and leads her. "We're sitting at the head of the table."

River smiles as Patty leads her right up to the front of the room and sits.

"Here is your script," Patty says as she hands a large book to River. "I would like it if you'd write down any notes referring to blocking or phrasing." She smiles.

"Of course," River smiles as she takes her backpack off and sits in a chair next to Patty. She opens her bag and grabs two pencils.

"Attention everyone!" Patty's voice booms. "I know we are all excited about today, but we do have to work." She chuckles with everyone. "But first I would like for everyone to introduce themselves and your role in the production of  "Wonder Woman"." She smiles. "I'll go first, Hello, I am Patty Jenkins, and I am the director." She glances down at River.

River stands and chuckles at the expressions on everyone's faces when they see how tall she is. "Hello, I am River Gonzales, and I am Patty's assistant." She smiles.

"Who is also going to be an extra, stunt double, and whatever I want her to be." Patty adds as River sits.

River smiles as Patty pats her back. She notices a dark haired woman sitting a few chairs down on Patty's left. The woman smiles at her and she smiles back.

River makes a mental note to find out who she is, because she is very beautiful.

River ignores everyone's introductions until it reaches the dark haired woman. Her eyes widen as the woman stands. *She must be as tall as me!* River thinks as the woman speaks.

"Hello," The dark haired woman smiles. "My name is Gal Gadot, and I am your Wonder Woman, Diana Prince."

River's mouth falls open as she realizes who the woman is.

"Close your mouth." Patty whispers.

River snaps her mouth shut and looks at Patty with a shocked expression. "Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman?" She asks.

Patty nods as she sits back. "You two are going to be very close." She smiles. "I'll introduce you after the read through."

"Let's take a 15 minute break everyone!" Patty says as she stands.

River groans as she stands and stretches her arms over her head.

"Hey River," Patty calls.

"Yes ma'am?" River quickly turns to Patty.

"I wanna introduce you to someone." Patty smiles as she motions River over.

River walks over to Patty and smiles as she sees Gal Gadot standing next to her. 

"River," Patty smiles. "This is Gal."

"Hi!" Gal smiles. "It's so nice to finally meet the person Patty has been telling me about."

River smiles. "I didn't even know you were Wonder Woman," She chuckles. "Patty has kept me in the dark."
