The Night Rider (hiccup x reader)

Y/n and Hiccup sat in the cave where the night furies were, it now being night time they got ready to rest by their own dragons.
"It's crazy how Toothless just found his father don't you think?" Y/n said softly
"Yeah ti be honest I'm still a bit confused by the whole thing, why don't they want to leave?" Hiccup replied with a yawn
"Well this place is like an underground ragin safe house, I wouldn't want to leave it either" Y/n said with a slight laugh, leaning her head on Hiccup's shoulder
"Yeah you're right" he said kissing a soft kiss to her forehead before falling into a peaceful sleep.

"Rise and shine sleepy head!" Y/n said rather loudly
"It's too earlyyy" Hiccup complained
"Hiccup I've been awake for like an hour get up I have information you need to hear" Y/n laughed
"Okay okay I'm up, why are you so cheerful?" He rubbed his eyes
"Just in a good morning mood I guess oh and the furies are going to stay here, we've to tell my parents that they don't mind being down here and feel safer"
"Okay fair enough" Hiccup spoke softly as they headed to the lake in the middle of the cave, most of the furies were doing their own thing around the cave.
"Come on let's go for a swim!" Y/n exclaimed as she dragged Hiccup closer to the waters edge
"It's defo too early for that" hiccup replied with a laugh
"Come on or I'll push you in!"
"You wouldn't do that to a one legged- arghh"
"Yes, yes I would" Y/n grinned as Toothless and Zeü let out dragon laughs along side her own laughter
"Not funny!" Hiccup said coming back up from under the water
"Was a bit" Y/n kept laughing as she herself got in
"Come on let's have some fun before we go!" She said happily as she splashed around.
They played about in the water for a few hours, chasing each other and seeing who can stay under the longest, just things like that.

They left the furies cave at about midday and headed back home
"Hiccup I feel really sick, can we stop for a minute" Y/n said shakily
"Of course milady" Hiccup replied, concern on his soft features.
They landed at a small island not even 5 minutes later and the second Y/n got off she ran into a bush and puked, Hiccup came over and rubbed circles in her back as the dragons sat worriedly
"Please Hiccup go sit over there I don't want you seeing me like this" Y/n sighed, looking up at Hiccup with a frown
"It's okay honey, I'm here for you" he smiled warmly
"Thank you but this is so gross" Y/n sulked, moving from the bush and sitting down on a patch of grass
"Trust me I've saw worse, remember I lived with only dragons for like 2 years, the smell alone was horrible sometimes," he laughed, trying to lighten the mood
"Ew don't even go there," Y/n laughed back before starting to cough, when she did blood came out
"Oh my gods what is wrong with me" she whispered, overwhelming feelings overtaking her
"I don't know but we should get you back to Gothi come on" Hiccup said before kissing her head
"You should maybe fly with me, I know Zeü will keep you safe but just incase you start to slip" Hiccup suggested with consern
"Yeah you're right, that okay with you girl?"
'Only if he keeps his hands off you,' Zeü said with a fake growl towards Hiccup as Y/n laughed
"Woah Zeü what did I do?!" Hiccup said, placing a hand on his heart with fake hurt, knowing the dragon was just trying to lighten the mood as well
"She said you need to keep your hands off me" Y/n tried to laugh but she just ended up having to run and puke again
"Come on let's get out of here asap" she said with a sigh.
Y/n's head was pounding and she felt ill, more than she had before, she had this gut feeling that the herbs they used for protection a few days ago didn't seem to work, she had noticed herself putting on a little weight and Zeü had been extra protective recently but hadn't said why.

They landed on Berk and rushed up to Gothi's who examined Y/n carefully before ushering Hiccup out the room and writing in a bit of dirt at the corner, thankfully Y/n was able to work out the question
'Is there a chance you could be pregnant?' It read
"Possibly I think" Y/n sighed, tears threatened to spill, they weren't married yet, would Stoick banish her?
'I think you could be, do you want to tell Hiccup?' Gothi scribbled, Y/n just nodded and said her thanks before walking out and going over to Hiccup who was leaning against the building
"Hiccup can we go to the cove? I have something I need to tell you" she asked nervously
"Of course, let's go" he replied with a warm smile, whisling for the dragons who came up quickly.
They took off and before they knew it they were all at the cove once again
"This places beauty always amazes me" Y/n sighed
"Same here" Hiccup replied as they sat on a log by the water, Y/n rested her head on her partner's collarbone as they both stared at the sunset that was now falling over the island
"So what did you want to tell me?" The brunette asked as he looked into Y/n's e/c eyes
"Hiccup, I-I'm pregnant" Y/n said and then proceeded to burst out crying, wrapping her arms around Hiccup's torso
Hiccup didn't know what to say, he wasn't fully shocked he did expect it at the island they stopped at but he didn't know if he was scared for this, was he ready to be a father?
"Y/n, hey don't cry, we'll get through this, you and me forever. Even if it means we need to run away again" he said as he pulled away and smiled, he felt excitement creeping up him
"We just got back, I couldn't do that to my parents and you've just got your dad back, it's only been like 2 years" Y/n sobbed
"Then we won't leave, they'll understand and besides this gives us a reason to get married, I've been planning it since I was 10" he smiled and wiggled his brows, lightening the mood like he always managed to do
"You're such a dork" Y/n laughed as she pressed her lips softly to his, they stayed like that for a while before heading back to Berk
"So do we tell my parents or yours first?"
"Probably yours"
They started their journey to Y/n's old home.

"Oh that's wonderful! Have you'd told Stoick?" Y/n's mother questioned with a smile as her father wrapped both her and Hiccup into a bone crushing hug, relief rushed through both Hiccup and Y/n's bodies
"No we were going to head there after here," Hiccup smiled
"Well you best be off then@ Y/n's mother said, having them both out the door.
"How do you think he'll react?" Y/n questioned as they walked up the hill to Hiccup's, their dragons at their sides
"Honestly I'm not sure" Hiccup sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck
"What do you think who'll react about what?"
"Oh hi dad"
Well that wasn't how it was meant to go.
