"Where are you going?" Elo asked Aunt Tina and Jake as they bid their goodbyes.
"We'll just give Henny's family some of our food today since they weren't able to come visit." Aunt Tina answered.
A lie.
"Oh, Henny's mom and dad..." Elo nodded. "Take care then!"
He turned towards me.
"Aren't you going with them?" He asked.
I shook my head. "Nope, I'm going to stay with you here."
He looked puzzled. "Are you sure?"
I nodded while smiling. "Hmm, I am."
"Okay then," He looked at Aunt Tina and Jake once again as they watched us by the door. "Bye!"
Aunt Tina entered the room again and hugged Elo.
"Bye Elo," She closed her eyes as she hugged him.
As soon as Aunt Tina stepped away, Jake went in for a hug.
A tight one.
His eyes were closed the whole time.
"I'll see you again, okay?" He managed to ask Elo that.
"Hmm, we'll meet again." Elo answered.
After hugging Elo, Jake turned to me and quietly hugged me.
"Stay strong for him." His voice was almost a whisper.
He tapped my shoulder before walking away.
After the two left the house, Elo looked at me.
"What now?" He asked with so much curiousity.
I smiled. "Well, what do you want to do?"
Elo stood up.
"H-Hey..." I quickly held him.
He looked at me. "I think I want to walk in the garden."
I looked at him with my mouth slightly opened.
"Are you sure?" I asked with a hint of hesitation in my voice.
"Yeah, I feel really well right now and I want to get some fresher air."
I quickly nodded and assisted him out the room.
"Can you take the stairs?" I asked with a worried voice.
"Yeah, I can! You can even let go of me and I'd manage but I like it when we're close so don't let go." He smiled brightly.
I chuckled. "Okay then."
We made our way outside which is surprising because for the past months, he couldn't bring himself here, let alone have the energy and desire to go.
I sat him down on a chair and sat down next to him.
He took a deep breath, and released it.
"That feels nice," He looked at me. "I like this."
I held his hand. "I like this too."
He smiled.
We quietly watched the field and the sky, as the blues started to transition to oranges.
"The sunset looks good," He commented.
I looked at him.
His hair is now much longer, her face and body much slimmer. But his eyes remain the same.
