Save me a dance

(A/n: I know I basically skipped the entire season 2 but this is a Jesse St James story after all!)
Episode: Prom queen E20 S02

Mr. Shue entered the choir room
Shue: "All right, guys...prom."
Sam: "Please tell me we're not doing songs about prom."
Shue: "Nope. We are the prom. Figgins has asked us to perform."
Rachel: "Let's do Run, Joey, Run."
Everyone in the room looks at her, not really fond of the idea

Shue: "Now, I know this isn't ideal with Nationals coming up, but we really don't have a choice. And we could really use the money.
But I know that prom is a special rite of passage. I'm gonna make sure that all of you guys get a chance to enjoy the dance too.
So, we're gonna stagger the performances
so that each and every one of you has a lot of time to dance with your dates."
Mercedes: "Excuse me."
Mercedes leaves the room

Shue: "Is she okay?"
Quinn: "Mercedes doesn't have a date for prom."
Madison: "So? Brittany and I don't have dates.
We're just going to dance, and then all your dates are gonna ignore you and come
dance with us so... your dates are really our dates."
Brittany smiles and nod in agreement.

The day before the prom Madison ran into Finn, who looked pretty upset.
Madison: "Everything okay Hudson?"
Finn: "No! Jesse's back! Although it might be a wonderful news to you..."
The girls heart just skipped a beat, JESSE WAS BACK???
She smiled at Finn
Madison: "I don't know about wonderful but definitely unexpected... thanks Finn!"
She sent him a kiss

Madison went to look for Rachel when she heard her say to Mercedes and Sam that they could go grab a bite before the dance and that Jesse was coming with them.
Bingo.

As the four friends were sat at a table, Madison approached them with a big smile
Madison: "Hi guys, fancy seeing you here! Jesse.."
She now only looked at him as they all looked at her
Jesse: "Long time no see huh?"
Madison was about to reply as Mercedes turned to Sam
Mercedes: "Madison has been in love with Jesse for a year now"
Madison finally stop staring at her crush to turn to the two of them
Madison: "I'm not in love with him, I'm just his future wife"
They all laughed lightly
Sam: "In love or not, you look stunning Maddie"
Madison had chosen a peach dress for prom

And curled her hair

Madison puts a hand over her chest
Madison: "Thanks, you look handsome too Sam!"
Mercedes: "Yeah he's right, your dress goes remarkably well with your hair"
Madison: "Omg you noticed! I tried to coordinate my hair with my dress cause I happen to know someone who really likes my hair..."
She empathized on the word "really " as she looked at Jesse
Jesse: "I'm sure lots of people like your hair"
He smiled pretending he didn't get the insinuation
Madison: "Right... Well I'll leave you guys to it. See you on the dance floor! Save me a dance leader boy will you?"
She turns around and leaves the group

At the dance, As Blaine is performing, Finn is dancing with Quinn, Madison with Sam and Mercedes, and lastly Rachel with Jesse. The 3rd couple gets really close, much to Finn and Madison's annoyance.
Jesse kisses Rachel's neck a little too much, which causes Finn to go over to them; seeing this scene take place makes Madison leave her friends to approache them as well.

Finn: "Hey!
Hey dude, keep it PG."
Madison: "Yeah, nobody wants to see you sucking on Rachel's neck."
Jesse looks at both of them
Jesse: "Guys it's none of YB... your businesses."
He glances at his date as if his comeback was even remotely good
Madison: "Ooh burn!"
She mocked him
Finn: "Well, this is my school, so it's my business."
Jesse: "Well this isn't your girlfriend, so beat it MJ"
Madison: "You're really using your best comebacks today aren't you?"
Madison's comment didn't get a reply as Finn pushed Jesse.
Jesse "Don't push me."
They started to push each other back-and-forth as Quinn and Rachel tried to separate them.

Madison: "Just punch him already Finn!"
Finn swings at Jesse but he manages to doge his fist.
Right then Sue Sylvester appears and grabs Finn
Sue:"Prom is over for you, Sugar Ray!
You, too, Marvelous Marvin!
And don't think I didn't hear you Little orphan Annie.
You're out! Let's go!"
Finn: "You're taking me out?!"
Madison: "I didn't even fight! I just gave him directions!"

They were escorted out
Once outside, Jesse was the first one to leave Jesse: "Unbelievable!"
He walked away and called a cab

Finn: "Where was Sue when he was drooling all over her neck huh?"
Madison: "I know! This prom sucked anyways, we're probably not missing out on much"
Finn: "Yeah... bit I feel bummed out about leaving Quinn though"
Madison: "Oh please, I'm not even sure she likes you that much, she just wants to be prom queen. Don't tell her I said that."
He stayed quiet
Madison: "Do you want a ride Finn?"
Finn: "Sure, If we can get Macdonald's on the way though."
Madison: "Oh definitely, I'm starving"
