Todoroki came knocking at her door only a few minutes later, also in his hero suit and ready to go. Aimi couldn't help but admire the way he looked in his suit, and it wasn't the first time she did so.
When the two of them are walking towards the building of Endeavor's agency, Aimi feels the boy's hand brushing against hers before finally slipping his fingers through hers. She looks at him then, a small blush coating his cheeks. And even though he looks as stoic as ever to the people walking past, Aimi notices his nervousness in the slight tremble of his hand.
The girl smiles slightly, also nervous, as she tightens the hold on his hand. They walk in silence, comfortable yet a little bit anxious for what this change means.
As they reach the building and enter, both of them let go of the other's hand, in silent agreement that no one should know anything before they know what's going to happen.
Endeavor's already standing in the entry, his arms crossed impatiently and the usual constipated look on his face. Todoroki and Aimi walk towards him, the latter with the usual anxiety she feels around him, and the other with annoyance radiating off of him.
"Good. You're on time. Let's not waste any more seconds and get going. Just follow me", the Pro Hero says coldly, walking off with a quick pace. The other two follow after him, walking down the darkening streets lit up by the streetlights. Aimi looks up at Endeavor, observing his profile as he talks about something she couldn't care less about.
Suddenly, an explosion goes off, catching their attention as flames burn in the distance. They immediately start running towards the commotion, civilians passing by them as they run away.
"I need to go", Todoroki suddenly says, his phone in his hand. Aimi frowns at him, confused as to where he's running off to. He catches her eyes, turning the phone towards her so she can see what he's looking at. It seems to be a spot, an address, sent into the class' group chat.
"What", Endeavor shouts at him, anger and confusion written across his face. Todoroki doesn't seem to care at all, only telling him to come there as quickly as he can before running off to where they came from.
Aimi stands there, torn between following Endeavor, who she doesn't like, but is scared to go against, or Todoroki. In the end, she looks at the hero with a sheepish expression, saying sorry, before running after Todoroki.
"What is that? Who sent it", Aimi asks him the moment she caught up to him. Todoroki looks at her with a surprised expression, as if he couldn't believe she went after him. He quickly turns serious again, looking in front of him as they run towards god-knows-where.
"I don't know. But Midoryia sent it, so I guess he needs help." Aimi stares at him for a second before also looking forward. There's nothing to say in response, but she feels happy that he seems to trust Midoryia's judgement, even if he doesn't understand himself what's going on.
When they finally arrive, they both stop in shock at the sight before them. Or rather, Aimi does and Todoroki just takes a second to analyze what's happening.
Aimi recognizes the Hero Killer immediately, sending panic through her. Her eyes move towards Ida who's lying on the ground and Midoryia fighting against the villain. When the latter is about to slash his knives at Midoryia, a wave of fire blocks him.
"Midoryia, you need to give more details in times like this. I was almost to late to stop this guy", Todoroki says, snapping Aimi out of her daze as he rushes towards the fight.
"How did you get here? Hold on, you're using your left side", Midoryia asks, looking perplexed as he catches his breath.
"How'd I get here? Good question", the other boy answers, ignoring Midoryia's last question. "Your message took me a while to figure out. Next time, try to send more than just your specific location", he says, moving to stand next to the other.
Aimi doesn't know what to do. She knows that she should help, but at the same time, she knows that they aren't allowed to do anything without a Pro present. Shaking off her worries, Aimi decides that it doesn't matter. Those idiots were fighting the villain already anyway.
The girl rushes towards Ida and the Hero, both lying on the ground. "Are you okay? Can you move", she asks both of them, observing their injuries.
"I'm fine. It's his quirk", the hero answers, as Ida's occupied shouting at their classmates. Aimi looks at him confused, about to ask him what he means before Todoroki's shout rips her attention away.
"Aimi, move", his voice calls out to her, but she's too late as she turns around. The villains knife slashes across her arm, thankfully only superficial, since she jumps out of his grasp. However, not knowing his quirk, since she didn't listen to the others, Aimi doesn't aim for him as he's about to lick her blood off of it. Todoroki is too late, too, as she falls to the ground next to the hero.
After a moment of shock, realizing that she can't move, Aimi's surprise turns into panic and anger. "That stupid bitch", she whispers, surprised at herself and looking at the hero next to her to make sure he didn't hear her.
"What's your blood type", Midoryia shouts at her as Todoroki fights against the villain alongside him, anger written all over his face.
"0, why", Aimi shouts back at him, confused and feeling the panic spread through her. It doesn't take long for her to figure out that it probably has to do something with her inability to move. Still, the fact that she has no power over her body brings up memories she wishes to forget.
"By tasting someone's blood, he can freeze them for up to eight minutes, depending on their blood type. From shortest to longest time, it's 0, A, AB, B", Midoryia tells everyone as they fight, dodging the villains attempts to get to him.
Aimi can't help but be impressed by him and his quick thinking. Sure, she's not bad at it either, however Midoryia isn't as helpless as the others make him out to be. Like Bakugo.
As she sits there, waiting for two minutes that feel like an eternity to pass by, Aimi observes the fight, admiring how Todoroki and Midoryia manage to hold their own.
Slowly, the girl starts to regain feeling in her fingers, moving them slowly. When she finally possesses the ability to move again, relief floods her, but that's overpowered by anger.
The moment she sets eyes on the Hero Killer fighting her friends, the anger of being robbed of her power fueling her, he stills, floating in the air as a red mist surrounds him.
"I hate people like you", the girl says, her voice trembling as she stands on the ground below them, doing the same to him as he did to her. Only, her quirk doesn't have a limit.
