ON THIS DAY:Branch POV:
🎵About to take flight. 'Cause the night is young and the Music's on, and we got love on sight.🎵 My Record Player was playing on full blast, as I was looking through my Grandma's old stuff. She has kept the Records from my old BoyBand era.
🎵Sky was the limit. Now the stars where we 'livin🎵 It kept on playing, I ran my hand over one of the covers, with me and my brothers' faces on it. My feelings was overflowing, by all of the memories, behind these records.
I have no idea, why I suddenly came in the mood, to miss those Traitors, but I just did. I guess I have to tell Juniper... eventually.Juniper POV:
Poppy and I were setting up the decorations for the wedding, finishing up the last touches, before we had to fetch Bridget. It was hers and Gristle's wedding after all. I blew up the last heartshaped, pink balloon, letting go of it, making it flow upwards.
Poppy mentioned for me to go fetch Branch, as she would finish the last touches around her. I just nodded in agreement, before I ran off. Before I did, I ran in for a hug, being careful not to ruin her beautiful dress.
~~~
I've been looking around the Village, and in his bunker, even at my place, I couldn't find him.
There was one hut left, his Grandma's old one. I opened the door, jumping inside, and there he stood, with his back facing me. There was a small sound of music playing, as he was looking down at something 🎵It's the vibe, when we're in it, it'll blow your mind-🎵 It played, I felt like I have heard that song somewhere, but that wasn't my business.
I dusted my dress off and ran my hands through my hair, hoping he would notice the dress I've made.
I stepped closer, but quickly realised, he hasn't noticed my presence, he usually does, he must be deep in thought. I cleared my throat and softly spoke up. "Branch..?"
"What? O-Oh, hey- Love." He peeked back at me, now noticing my presence. "Nice dress." A compliment came, his eyes travelling down my body, noticing my dress. But not even a moment later, his head turned back around, stopping the record from playing. I leaned my upper body to the side, peeking at what he was doing. I didn't get a glance, before he turned fully to face me, dropping whatever he was holding.
"Are you all right? You're smiling and crying at the same time- it kinda looks like it's hurting your face." I spoke up, walking closer to him. He had a big smile on his face, swaying back and forth, he looked more nervous than happy to see me.
"It does hurt my face." He answered placing both of his hands on each cheek, letting his cheeks relax. "I guess I'm just missing my- uhm, Grandma... I was just listening to some of her old records" He turned back around, not facing me once again, as he grabbed the Record from the player and grabbed the cover belonging to it. I peeked over his shoulder, and then it came to me. I saw the cover and I snatched it out of his hands.
"Brozone!" I gasped, examining the old record, I haven't heard from the band since I was a baby. "No way! That's why I could recognise the song, I love Brozone!"
"Really?!" Branch spoke, more surprised than anything. "I mean, really?" Branch spoke in a less exciting tone.
"I didn't know you liked them too?" I spoke again, looking up from the cover, I handed it back to him as he laid it back where he found it.
"I don't." He simply answered, which made me look in confusion at him. "I'm actually hate-listening, it's a new thing. My grandma had very questionable taste, I mean, just look at how she decorated this place." I gazed around her hut, eyeing the plants hanging from the ceiling, and all of the green colours, I thought it was kinda nice. "I'm sorry, but there are some things that shouldn't be macraméd. Am I right?" He ranted on, at his last words his gaze shifted to the same record he had just put away a second ago.
"Branch, it seems like there's something you're not telling me."
"Whaaat? Pff, don't be silly- no..." He always talked like that when he was nervous, or lying, or both!
"Hey. I need you to be real with me." I spoke again, making him look back up, into my eyes.
I grasped both his hands in mine, when I took a step forward. "It seems like more than a macramé issue." I chuckled, making him laugh with me. He looked down at his feet, but gazed up at me again as I spoke. "If you're having feelings, you can talk about them with me."
"Okay.." he finally spoke up, sighing. "You're right- as always..." He mumbled the last part, his gaze went from the floor, to the wall, to me, and over again, he couldn't decide where to look at, his nervousness taking over. He finally locked his gaze at me for longer than a second, my eyes lightened up and my smile widened, he is about to open up, and I'm waiting patiently.
"Uhh- Oh! Hey, look at the time! We're gonna be late to the royal wedding." He suddenly spoke up, pulling his hands away from mine in a quick move, I thought he was going to talk to me, but he is avoiding these deep conversations, as he usually does.
"Let's go get married-" He spoke up again, taking my hand and dragged me to the door, his words caught my attention as I pulled back, making him stop.
"Branch!"
"What-" He turned his head back to me, his face emotionless, before realising his word choice. "I-I mean, let's get, Bridget and Gristle, married..." He corrected himself, eyes wide and cheeks red from his blushing.
"Yeah.." I chuckled. "Cause it would be weird if we got Married..."
"Yeah, so weird..." He chuckled back at me. "It's like, weird that we're still talking about how weird it was..." I ranted on, now being the one having a hard time holding eye contact. "It's like 15 seconds later.."
"Yeah.." Branch answered again, chuckling more at our own stupidness.
"Bleh." Branch stuck his tongue out at me, making me laugh and sticking my tongue out at him.
He smiled sweetly at me. He leaned in, kissing my cheek lovingly, before he opened the door behind us.
~~~
As we walked out, two fireflies approached us. We jumped on to them. Branch grabbed my hand as he dragged my firefly with his.
🎵Ooh, yeah!🎵 Branch sang, as we had let go of each other, I flew back to him as our firefly's spun around together.
🎵Keep it comin' love, keep it comin' love.🎵 We sang together, flying around each other, we caught each other's hands again as we made our way through the town, flying by some of the Bergens. We knew most of them from the town, some others was distant family members, who has been invited.
🎵Don't stop it now, don't stop it, no, We don't stop it, girl, don't stop. Keep it comin' love, keep it comin' love🎵 We still sang together, we flew around Bergentown, seeing the Bergens and the Trolls helping with the Wedding decorations.
🎵we are family- I got all my brothers and my sisters with me🎵 Trolls sang from the wooden table, placed outside, for the shared meal, after the ceremony. Waving up at us, one of them was Poppy.
🎵Everyone can see we're together, As we walk on by🎵 Branch sang, I was looking back at one of the Bergens who rolled out the red carpet for the bride, but with his body stuck in the middle. Branch placed his pointer finger and thumb, on each side of my chin, turning my head, gaze shifting back to him. Smiling as he took my arm and danced around, still on our firefly's.
🎵And we fly just like birds of a feather🎵 I sang, Branch made a motion with his arms and danced along. 🎵I won't tell no lies!🎵
🎵We are Family!🎵 Trolls sang with us as we approached the building with Bergens holding Trolls, peeking out of the windows.
🎵All of the people, about us they say, Can they be that close?🎵 Branch sang, as I sang with him on the last sentence. One of the Bergens stuck his fist out, Branch fist bumped it.
🎵Just let me state for the record, We're giving love in a family dose!🎵 We jumped off our firefly's as we've approached the wooden table, jumped on a pump, blowing up a balloon of Gristle. Unfortunately, we put too much air in it, as it flew up to the Tower where the King's bedroom was. We winched at the sight of the very steady balloon crashing the walls of the tower.
