The door opened slowly, and Lisa came in with two huge bags of food. "Here's your Takis," she said and threw it against him. He just managed to catch them before they hit the floor. He lifted his index finger over his lips to sign that he was busy talking to someone and therefore inquired silence.

«I'm honestly so excited for tonight, it's going to be lit. I managed to book an Uber for us, which will be at my house at 5.30 pm. And since it's an Uber, it's not really costly." Lucas talked loudly on his phone." We can of course discuss more about the concert later tonight, but I think we should book an Uber already." He added.

"Whom are you talking to?" Lisa asked curiously. He took his phone away and answered, "Just Trevor." And then he continued talking. Trevor was one of Lucas's friends that he had known for a long time, and now they worked together.

She frowned and walked closer to him, "why? What are you talking about?" She asked. Lucas gazed down in another direction without putting much effort into answering her questions. He looked obviously really happy and smiled and laughed at whatever his friend said.

He put his phone away for a few seconds and asked, "Lis, would you mind making some food for us?" She rolled her eyes, to show him that she thought it was unfair how he didn't acknowledge her for buying Takis for him nor all the food she had bought and still wants her to make food for him like she was his personal servant.

"Okay fine." She replied with an expression that signed that she didn't do it voluntarily. "Thanks, Lis," He said shortly.

However, Lisa thought it was weird how he suddenly started to say Lis, instead of Lisa. He hadn't been calling her that before. And now, he suddenly called her Lis like it was the most common thing ever.

"Okay, bye, see you later then." After finishing his call, he moved against Lisa and started holding around her waist. "What was that about?" Lucas used a few seconds before answering, "Ehh, it's just that we are going to a bar soon, and the Arctic Monkeys concert on the weekend.."

She started cutting up some vegetables. "And why haven't you told me this before?" Her voice didn't sound irritated, just curious. "I'm sorry, I forgot." He picked up one small piece of carrot that she had cut up and ate it.

"But also, we ordered the tickets for not so long ago." She peeked up at him waiting to say something more. Yet he didn't. "Why didn't you ask me? What if I wanted to join?"

He gave her a hug from behind and answered, "You don't listen to them do you?"

"Yes, I do."

"Okay, name one song."

"Fine: 505, I Wanna Be Yours, Do I Wanna Know?, Mardy Bum, Fluorescent Adolescent, etc," she answered straight forward like it was the easiest question she had ever gotten. He gazed proudly at her. "Okay, I am truly sorry that I didn't invite you. But I honestly didn't know that you even listened to them." She smiled at him. "And, since it has been quite a while since I have seen my friends, this was supposed to be almost a reunion with the boys. None of the other guys are inviting their girlfriends." Lisa him a hug to sign that she was satisfied with his answer. "I understand, go to the concert and have the time of your life, but just don't do anything stupid." He nodded and kissed her on her chin. "But there is still one week left to the concert. Today we are just going to a bar."

Lucas played "I Wanna Be Yours" on their speaker, and then lifted her up on the countertop and continued kissing her. He fondles his arm at her back and shoulders. Their kissing became more intense, and they could feel the heat from each other's bodies as they were intimately close. And from the speaker they heard Arctic monkey's sing; Maybe I just wanna be yours, I wanna be yours, I wanna be yours ... Both of them almost became breathless from their intense kissing.

"Oh, shit." He suddenly interrupted and his eyes began to move rapidly as he wanted to find his mobile. "What?" Lisa gave him a weird expression since she didn't understand. He finally found his phone and gazed down at it, "I'm so so sorry Lis, however, I must hurry up, the taxi comes at 5.30 pm., and I need to get dressed and eat before that time." His voice sounded like he truly was stressed, and he began stumbling around the kitchen. "Lucas you have ONE HOUR, that's plenty of time. You don't have to stress that much."

He came closer to her, looked her in her eyes, and said, "Don't get me wrong, I really want to be with you, however, I'm sincerely sorry that I need to go." He opened the fridge opened a yogurt and began eating it in a hurry. It seemed like he already had neglected the fact that she had made food for them. After that, Lucas rushed towards his closet. "Lisa, do you think a t-shirt with print is too tacky?" He shouted. "Perhaps, a white shirt would be more adequate." He loved her honesty. "Maybe you also should brush your hair differently." She added.

He obeyed and put on beige pants and white shoes. His shirt looked as if it was tailored, even though he had bought it at Walmart for 15$. The shirt was steamed and looked like it just had been bought.

"Wow, you look really handsome."

"You think so?"

"Absolutely!" He smiled back and began eating his Takis.

After some minutes, the taxi finally arrived outside their home.

Subsequently, she heard her phone ring. It was Olivia. Lisa got to know her during high school as they both were much more into partying instead of studying. Although it now had been months since they last had seen each other's. She lifted her phone and accepted the call.

"Hello"

"Hi Lisa, how're you doing?" Olivia's voice sounded as sexy and hot as it always had done.

"Fine, thanks. How about you?"

"Pretty good, but how's things going with Lucas."

"He keeps on doing his own things with his friends, without really telling me before the day earlier."

"Oh. I am sorry to hear that."

"No that's fine, but what did you want to say?"

"Oh yeah, I just think it has been way too long since we saw each other's last. So therefore, I want to meet you again."

"I agree."

"You know just as the old times when we stayed up all night and went from one party to another - one guy to another. I really, really miss those times." Olivia took a short break before adding, "I somehow wish I could scroll back the time so that I then knew that was my peak and the best years of my life.

"I know," Lisa replied. "I know, but hey, what are you doing now? Are you studying or working etc.?" She added.

"Yes, I am studying law," Olivia stated with great confidence.

"Really, why haven't you told me this before? That's great, I am so proud of you." She replied wholeheartedly happy for her.

"It was a joke. You didn't really think I had good enough grades for that?"

Lisa picked up a yogurt from their white fridge with silver details. The fridge had one single magnet on it: a souvenir from their trip in Italy. On the magnet, was a picture of the tower of Pisa. She remembered back to the day they bought it. He had just taken a picture of her with his Polaroid camera when she held her arm in a position that made it seem like she was holding the tower in place. But after the picture was taken, they noticed that her hand didn't line up with the tower walls at all, and they, therefore, thought it was funny to buy a magnet so that the memory would be remembered. Ah, memories. A good memory, she thought smilingly.

"But yeah, since you're asking, I am currently working at a Supermarket."

"But do you like it?" She began eating her yogurt.

"No, not at all. I hate it. I hate people who ask me if this particular grocery is free since they can't find a price tag on it. I laugh every time, just to seem nice, and then tell them the actual price in a delightful manner. However, all I think about is how much I want to slap them in the face and shave off their eyebrows with a razor blade. And yet, that is not even the worst. The worst part of my job is that I have to see acquaintances from high school. Particularly those who got good grades and managed to get a proper education and job, and now live a perfect life with their husbands or wives with two children and a huge house with a garden and garage. Those are absolutely the worst. Even though they don't say or do anything special, their facial expressions say it all and hurts more than any physical action ever can do."

"At least you made it through high school," Lisa said with a melancholic smile.

"Yes, against all the odds."

"And, at least you have an occupation."

"But Lisa, I am single, and you are not."

«Yes, but everything I own is bought by his money. Even my shoes. If he wants to break up with me, I will have nothing. I will then stand on bare feet on a soiled ground."

"Olivia, don't get me wrong, I loved partying with you in high school and being a cheerleader with you. It was the time of my life. Yet, it did have a consequence. And now, I just wished I had dedication and cleverness to actually make it through high school with good grades." She swallowed and felt one tear slowly dripping down her chin. "You have no idea how inexplicably much I wished I was them" She added with a sorrowful voice. Another tear fell, and she peeked up at the ceiling. Perhaps she wished a hand would strike through the ceiling and lift her upwards, up to the sky. Nevertheless, nothing happened. Everything stayed the same. She bites her lip. Her facial expression had an absence of every happy feeling. She felt like the date was just several digits with no special meaning for her. "When did I become so fucking miserable?" She murmured.
