Her perspective. That's the words that went through Nayeon when she thought about how to tell them what she finally decided. Her perspective was to look through Sana's and Momo's, and what was best for them, and her.
Momo and Sana enter the dorm. "Sit down." Nayeon says.
"I didn't decide what to do, or who, but I decided that I'd do something I never did. Look through my perspective. All my life, I've been inconsiderate of others, just saying things for the sake of it, but it's different this time."
Sana and Momo are listening intently.
"You both are my world. You both complete me. Both of you make me want to be a better person for both of you, which is what I decided to be. I'm not choosing any direction. I want to head down a path where both of you are there for me, and what better do I choose than leaving?"
Sana winces, while Momo breaks eye contact with them both.
"I can never give you guys the love you deserve, I know that. So I'm giving you something you actually do deserve, someone better than me. I know you'll find amazing people for your personalities. Even my mother couldn't change me, but you guys did. I'll always be here for you guys, as a friend, a peer or a sister, or as family. I know you guys will too. But one doesn't have to go through heartbreak for the sake of the other being happy. That's what I've learned."
Sana sighs, and speaks. "I'm really proud of you, Nayeon, I know you've changed now, into someone better and I'm glad we could help you. We always will, you just have to ask for it. And you were right. None of us are heartbroken, thanks to you. I'll always be here when you need me, I'll be here for both of you. And that's a promise."
Momo smiles. "I second that. When you spoke just now, I knew you'd become a better version of yourself, and it makes me happy to know that we helped you. I'm glad you didn't put yourself through more pain, and us as well. I love you, always will. Both of you."
The three of them cry and hold each other. It's a hard decision, but Nayeon is relieved and happy. They cry over how sad they are and over the mutual love they have for each other.
Nayeon broke the pattern, before it broke her and her loved ones.
Nayeon heads out the door, leaving Sana and Momo in to talk about their project and finds Jeongyeon right out the door. She was listening the whole time.
Nayeon sulks and then smiles. "Of course you heard."
Jeongyeon laughs. "Of course. I'm proud of you. You did the right thing."
Nayeon links her arms with Jeongyeon's. 'I couldn't have done it without you."
They walk away together, cheerfully.
Nayeon doesn't know what the future holds for her, Momo and Sana. But she knows one thing. That they'll get the love they deserve, without going through heartbreak. Her perspective rewarded her tremendously. She made a decision she never thought she could.
"To love, or not to love? I choose both."
