What An Ending!

I bet still,
For old times sake,
Upon the grave of our past affairs,
I spend my last dime,
Aware undoubtedly,
This is another gamble for me to lose.

Let me down,
I know you can do it,
My eyes need to witness more of it,
Disappoint me again please,
I already know it's a sin overestimating you,
Rebuke more,
Make me run away from you,
Help me save myself.

I won't be spiting my own words,

Now,

I have turned into a bitter woman,

Though still sweeter on the edges of my gentle whispers,

God have mercy on the next soul you'll curse with this retched love of yours.

The devil fights hard and I fight harder,
But you never fought at all.

Romeo and Juliet are weeping in their graves for love found and lost,
We had ours but you gave it all up at the desert's sand.

The romantics will never approve this as noble,
Regrets are  poison,
And I won't dare let this story go,
It must end how I want or not at all,

It remains true that I do not give up on people,
But I have given up on you.
