The natural light of morning shined through the semi-covered up glass windows of the large laboratory...as the rays of the sun shined through the lush vines of the plants that consumed most of the laboratory's greenhouse.
Cosmo was doing her daily tasks with taking care of the plants that reside in the greenhouse, a long with the experimented animals that were behind cages just for their own protection.
The sound of a lightbulb bursting got her attention, with a soft sigh she only shook her head at her Master's devotion to his specimens. Leaving the lightbulb alone for now, she continued on her with her daily tasks.
As for the Mad Scientist himself, well he spent most of his sleepless night with the Mobian, running all kind of experiments, to the disappointment of the revived hedgehog himself, who didn't really have much of a choice. At least it gave him an excuse to hangout with his brother who didn't really see him as such anymore.
Sonic was just during electrical shocks through his...unnatural...body, thanks to the metal bolts that were nailed into each side of his neck...his body just seemed to absorb the voltages and just turn it to unlimited energy, on occasion his quills would just discharge the remaining electricity.
"Look on the bright side Specimen One-Nineteen, you don't have to worry about drowning." Miles snickered at his own joke.
Sonic only rolled his eyes, as he grabs a hold of the wire pulling them off of the bolts. He only looked down at his hands, everything about his body...it just didn't feel like his own...yeah he was just some Frankenstein Monster, creation but with Black Magic, being used along with Science.
Cosmo comes over and passes the mobian his clean clothes.
"Thank you." Sonic looked down only to see that wound in his chest was still there, though whatever creature he had became cause of his putrid black blood, kept that area from bleeding out, the same with his new heart. He just started to slip on the black t-shirt, and baggy jeans. Taking a seat on a box he started to slip on his white socks and his sneakers as he was walking to the side the door to leave the laboratory, he was putting on his jacket.
"Hey..."
"Hmm?"
"It's a negative, by the way...though, considering that you died at the age of twenty, it is possible for you, to you know." Miles explained, as he just files his finding in the cabinet with the other successful specimens.
"Great...and I thought being born as a hermaphrodite, was bad..." Sonic mutters to himself, as he just looks down, his ears only tilted back. "I'll visit as much as I can...your still my brother, even if you choose to see me as a test subject." He admits as he opens the door stepping into the hallway of the castle.
Miles expression softens, when he heard that, a soft sigh escapes his lips...as he closes the cabinet.
"Is everything alright Mr. Prower?" Cosmo asked.
"Mentally...I am never okay, physically I'm fine...just found myself enjoying his company, like the old days...where we would go out on adventures, take the tornado out for a fun joyride, even though I was just using him understand my own findings of Resurrection."
"It was nice hearing you laugh, and joy around as if you were still a child." Cosmo said.
"I'm technically still a child...even if I have created my own serum to keep me immortal, it's just nice...to be able to feel and remember those good times" Miles retorted, he only dusts off his lab coat. He turned his attention elsewhere, heading off another room in his laboratory.

Sonic stopped at the large window that looked out at the Kingdom. "There you are my Love" Shadow said as he wraps his arms around the shorter male, and just nuzzles muzzle into the Mobian's ear before placing a kiss on it.
"Sorry...I just...want to see them." Sonic said, referring to his friends...who were no longer around, at least he was able to get more as to how his friends had suffered when he was killed, he just didn't expect his nemesis to actually be lost without him being around.
"It's fine my Love...I don't care if you go out, now that I know you aren't in danger any more." Shadow said to his lover, he only takes in Sonic's scent...just ignoring the scent of that Mad Scientist. "Did you find something interesting about yourself?...and I mean your body."
"Besides being immortal, and immune to Electricity." Sonic explained, as he didn't really want to talk about the other things.
His mind was still trying to wrap around as to what he actually was...cause when Miles was cutting him up from his back...black mucus like tendrils came out of his back, just to attack the fox...he didn't remember any of that happening, all he remembered was feeling that scalpel dig into his flesh then everything going black. But looking over the footage from the security cameras. He saw it with his own eyes. He just didn't understand...did the black magic turn him into something, or did his own revival make him a Non-Mobian.
"My head hurts...just think about this." Sonic thought to himself.
His ears perked up when his sound of his stomach rumbling was heard. Before he could do anything he was lifted off of his feet into the Non-Mobian's arms. "Another Five Course Meal? Or can you eat a normal one?"
"After the Experiments...I think ten full courses meals" Sonic admits.
Shadow only nodded as he carries his lover to the dining hall, he can understand the Mobian's hunger, after all he's been dead for five hundred years, and was just revived yesterday...even though his body didn't show how skinny he was...he probably just felt like he was starving.
"He is pretty light, for a full grown male Mobian...then again he was always light in my arms." Shadow thought to himself, his third eye opened and just looked down at the hedgehog that was in his arms.
Sonic's ear twitches the sound of Shadow's heartbeat, he kind of forgot how soothing it was...just so calm. It wasn't long before the hedgehog had started purring softly.
Shadow only have a soft smile on his muzzle, he kind of missed hearing his lover gentle purrs. Sure he may have used Sonic, to just make sure that the Mobian and Humans, would just surrender to him peacefully. But he just never expected himself to actually fall in love in the enemy. Though he didn't regret getting his revenge on those species...that took away his happiness for the second time.
He had always planned on reviving Sonic, just didn't expect the War to last five hundred years. Though he did expect both Humans and Mobians to fall once the news of their Leader had died.
"Mmm~" Sonic hummed feeling Shadow's grip tighten around his body.
Shadow looked down at the hedgehog, he saw that he had fallen sleep in his arms...still purring. He only rolled his eyes at how easy it was to get his lover to fall asleep.
